Warmth All-Over Face Color
Hard to Master
I know warmth is a raved about product, but I just can't master it. For me, I put it on doing the motion of a 3, just like the sales associate told me and I still feel like I end up with a distinct defintion of color between my jawline and my neck. I am pretty fair skinned, but I feel like it even when I used the tiniest amount its very aparent and too noticable. It is helpful for me to just brush it along my forehead and cheekbones and not along my jawline, but it still isn't something that I feel drastically improves my look. I don't know if I'm just doing it all wrong, but Ive had my large jar for years, and probably won't repurchase when it's all gone.
Gives great color
I got this with the starter kit and my first thought is what is this dark mineral? Do I need it? I didn't use it for awhile, but saw some of my friends have a nice color to their make-up so I asked about it and they said it's the warmth! Now I use it everyday! My skin is pale during the winter so I add just a little bit to my skin for it to have some color.
Great all over color!
As soon as I learned how to apply warmth correctly, I loved it. I was unsure at first, but after watching the how to DVD that comes with the starter kits, it was easy to figure out. The biggest thing is less is more. You need barely any in the lid. You will think at first that you dont have enough, but a little goes a looong way. A tap or two into the lid is more than enough! I apply it to my forehead, nose, and cheeks. If you try that and think you dont have enough color, just repeat the same process with the same small amount - you can add more until you get the color you want and then you will know how much to use in the future. If you use too much the first time, dont get intimidated! Try, try again. Just remember to start with a tiny tiny bit. I also love it on my lips (sounds weird, I know). I use it every morning - just put some on my finger and rub it on and then put balm or gloss overtop. It looks weird at first - too dark or brown - but when you put balm on overtop it looks like your lips are just as healthy as the rest of your skin. It gives them great color. I put it on every morning and then apply gloss or balm and I notice the difference on days I forget. Just remember, dont be scared of the color and less is more!
Great Contourer, But Really Dark For Light Skin
I received "Warmth" w/ my starter kit (fair) about six years ago. I use it so sparingly (only the dust in the lid, then tap THAT off) that my pot is still about 2/3 full. It is good for contouring the hollows of cheeks, under the chin (the "3"'s of the face, more or less). However, the problem I have with it is it tends to look fake or orange on my very fair skin. It does work nicely as an eyeshadow, especially if you just brush the extra from your brush over your lids, followed by the same with your blush brush. It's a VERY quick, natural look. I wish that BE would give customers the option of buying "Bisque" multi-tasker in place of this in the starter kit, because to me, "Bisque" is an absolute must-have, while not everyone may be interested in "Warmth".
Love this stuff!
This took the place of my drug store bronzer! I love how it gives depth to my face and how natural it looks on. It blends very well. This powder has gave my face a healthy sun kissed warm color all winter long :)
Makes you look "sun-kissed"
I love Warmth. It is true that using very little and building up the color as needed is the best way to wear it. After a few months of using it I finally figured out how to use less to get the look I wanted. Two of my sisters also use it and they always have a healthy glow after brushing it on; one has very light skin, the other more of a tan. My skin tone is somewhere in the middle of my sisters and it's even perfect for me, although I was very skeptical at first. Even if I don't wear foundation, I wear Warmth; that and a little lip gloss and I'm ready to go.
I wear the lightest foundation BE offers (Fair). I use a small amount of Warmth on my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, chin, and lastly on my eyes. Since my skin is so pale Warmth gives my face a touch of sunshine to make my skin have a healthy (rather than super pale) color. Also, since I use such a tiny amount of Warmth each day my pot will last me years to use up.
A few years ago I didn't bother with this from the kit because (for whatever reason) I couldn't get it on light enough. Well, I guess I've become a little more talented with the brush, and it is the only face color I use. I tend to have rosacea-like reddening on my cheeks, so using a blush is very unnecessary for me. I do tan but tend to use alot of sunscreen, so I always look pretty light, but WARMTH gives just enough "highlights" to my face for contouring and the advertised sun-kissed look.
I love this product, my skin is very pale and it gives me a nice color, almost like a sun tan. The only thing I would say is to make sure you aren't using too much, that was my problem when I first starting using it, however its very true when they say less is more. Great product! Especially for the winter when I have no color in my skin.
Don't let the color scare you
When I first got the warmth in my get started kit, I didn't want to try it, it looked so dark. One weekend when I had some time I decided to try it and figured I could wash it off if I didn't like it. Well I LOVE IT! It looks so good, it's not too dark, it completes your look and gives you a soft sun-kissed look. This is something I cannot go without, it's the best bronzer type product out there.
