Perfecting Face Brush
Works Well with bareSkin Foundation
I bought this brush when I recently bought my first bottle of bareSkin foundation. It's a little pricey - almost the same price as the foundation itself, but it does seem to be working well. The bristles are concentrated but still soft. I don't know if you NEED to use this brush with this foundation, but it does work well.
The Perfecting Face Brush is PERFECT!
Of all the brushes in my collection, this one is now my favorite. Very little waste, make-up goes on smoothly (watch the video of how to use it and do what it says!) Highly recommend it.
My favorite foundation brush
I love this.... It my favorite foundation brush I've ever owned. I love how it minimizes the amount of foundation I use, but I can add a little more, and layer where I need more coverage.
Best blending brush
I love this brush, I tried the bare skin foundation with other brushes and this is the best. It blends out the foundation really well and I would recommend buying this with the foundation
I love the liquid foundation and the brush!
I already wrote a review on the brightening serum foundation that accompanies this brush. I recently took before and after pictures but was unable to attach them to my other comment, because I had already submitted it. SO i'm making a new comment on the brush so all of those who like to read reviews can see how well it works!
I applied the Pure Brighting Serum Foundation with the Perfecting Face Brush, then dusted some B.M. Powder Foundation and blush overtop.
This brush is awesome!
I purchased this brush along with the bareSkin foundation & it is great! It applies the foundation evenly onto my face, no streaks. I am very pleased with the ease of the use of this brush, great pair with my bareSkin foundation! Thanks Bare Minerals!
The Jury is still out....
I'm not sure if I love this brush or not... I work in the cosmetics industry and we just received these brushes. I feel like it gives a very complete coverage...but stippling with it can be difficult as it tends to leave empty circles on the skin where the foundation well holds the make-up. It was very time consuming to clean and that is something I have to do several times a day, as all my brushes must be sanitized between clients.
I understand that you are supposed to buff more than stipple with this brush, but i feel that either way it was time consuming and kind of messy.
The brush is very dense and very very soft. It looks awesome and there isn't really anything else like it on the market for general pop... I want to love this brush. I really really do! Especially at a price of under $30... I'm just not sure. The jury is still out.
However yesterday was the first day that I used it. If , after getting used to it and using it a few more times on a few more clients, i change my mind i will absolutely revise my review.
All in all, i think if you need a very complete full coverage look, i.e. lots of redness hyper pigmentation, acne marks to cover, this brush could be your new fav product. But if you're just looking for a new foundation brush you may want to skip this one as the option to put the liquid foundation on in a soft, sheer to moderate coverage is almost impossible with this brush.
I feel like I need to start with this…while I don't think you NEED this brush to apply the new bareSkin liquid foundation, I think it makes the product apply so much better! On to the actual brush…it is very soft, and completely different from anything else on the market due to the product reservoir in the center of the brush. The outer part of the brush help flawlessly buff in the liquid foundation with hardly any streaking, really giving your skin that airbrushed, perfected look. I would completely recommend splurging on this brush when you get your bareSkin foundation!!
Get it seriously!
OK so when I originally started wearing make up in high school I actually used bare escentuals and this was when it first came out. It looked great even with full coverage and made my skin nice. I think it even helped my acne. Since then, I have used plenty of make up brands like MAC, Dior, and NARs. Im always trying different make up brands to see what's the best. Recently I have been lazy and been exclusive to MAC. I have also tried many primers like MAC, Smashbox, BE, and even plain lotion like lubriderm. I actually used to use the BE Prime Time primer when it wasn't as popular, and a couple or years ago when I had gone into the boutique to get a new bottle the make up artist was actually surprised I used it everyday because a lot of people would complain that it made them break out, but it made my make up look great and agreed with my skin!
I am not a professional make up artist, but people usually tell me my make up looks great. Yet, just like anyone else I have my good days and my bad days. Recently I have been using a MAC primer and MAC liquid foundation along with a Dior foundation brush.
SO TO GET TO THE POINT- I had been having problems with my foundation streaking and not looking so great- some what chalky or cakey. Idk how to really describe it- its just plain horrible. So I thought I'd try a new brush and primer. I was skeptical about this brush since a reviewer said it was smaller then it seemed like it should be and I just didn't know how it was going to work out with a different foundation since it was made specifically for a BE foundation, but seriously WOW!!
This brush is so soft and great. It just buffed my foundation into my skin no streaks or nothing! I have blemishes and acne scars and usually use a lot of foundation but with this brush I can use the bare minimum and it still looks great! WIth my other brush, I would accidently put on too much foundation. This brush really holds onto the foundation and helps with getting a nice even but minimal layer of make up on the skin without moving the foundation around which usually leads to the streaks and spots without make up. And now my make up looks amazing! So far no shedding or anything. There was one hair but I think it was an eyelash. The point of this long review is GET THE BRUSH AND MAKE SURE YOU USE PRIME TIME TOO! (Also, with prime time a little goes a long way!) If you have been having problems with not getting your make up looking right for whatever reason this is going to fix it!
Eh, it's ok, not my favorite.
I realize this brush was make with the new liquid foundation in mind. So when I bought the liquid foundation, I bought the brush. The foundation went on well, but I didn't care for the texture of the brush. I also felt like it left streaks (even though I buffed and buffed). I started using my kabuki brush instead and like its application much better. Wouldn't purchase this brush again.
Got this brush with the bareSkin on QVC and so glad I did. I have tried applying bareSkin with my fingers and other brushes, but nothing compares to the application you get with the Perfecting face brush. I was worried it would take forever to apply the foundation because the brush is so small, but it doen't at all. The only downfall is that you definitely have to wash your brush more but it is totally worth it!!!
Excellent brush for liquid makeup but...
This brush works very well with the new liquid foundation. I have no complaints about that. The fact that it's synthetic rather than animal hair is a big plus, too. My problems are with how difficult it is to get clean and how long it takes to dry, which is two full days (for me). I think the very reasons this brush works so well (i.e., densely packed, synthetic bristles) are why it's not easy to clean or dry. I suggest having two so that one can dry while you use the other.
It all goes on my face not in the brush!
I haven't cleaned my brush yet but it will be interesting to see how much residue washes out. I use one drop at a time of the liquid serum foundation and the brush doesn't even look used like ALL the serum is being deposited on my skin instead of being sucked into the brush. This means quick application without a messy brush! Love it!!!!
