READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
If I had begun with this foundation, added the correcting concealer, the mineral veil and the blush...I would have no need for all the loose powders and brushes. The four above mentioned products and a moisturizer is all that is needed to make your day gorgeous. They are all I am taking on my trip to Florida next month. My suitcase will be so much lighter.
Love them all.
I so so so so wanted to LOVE this product! I LOVE my Original and was ready for the convenience of Ready, however, the finish looked terrible on me! I envy those who had a great review of this product because I believe it is great…for some skin types. I, unfortunately, have oily skin with dry patches and ugh…adult acne. It was a lot messier than I thought it was going to be…just as messy as the Original. The makeup looked cakey on my face and my pores seemed to be amplified. On my dry patches my skin was flaking off more so than usual and it really aged me. I'm 23 and usually have people thinking I'm 16…no joke. But this product probably made me look like I was in my 30s (little exaggeration).
Not my favorite
This is a good product with good coverage, but I still like the original best for its luminescence.
I have used the original loose powder forever. This last time I decided to try something different and buy the ready formula. When the makeup artist put it on me I loved it. It stayed on great and gave me a flawless complexion, and the little more coverage I was looking for. That being said when I got home and tried to recreate the skin I had instore I was disappointed. I was disappointed because instead of wearing off gradually, Ready cakes to places you are dry, or where you have hair (eyerows especially) and wears off dramatically in the places you want coverage (nose, forehead, chin). I also started using Bare Minerals becuase I wanted to be able to dust some make up on and look flawless and natural. I found that when applying Ready I had to put a full face of makeup on to look decent, and touch up my foundation constantly. This is not the product for a girl on the go. I love that it is ultra portable, but that is about it. I am almost done with Ready and I cannot wait to go back to the store and get the original formula loose powder!
love my READY Foundation! (Dark)
I have always been a Bare Minerals Foundation fan, both the loose powder and now this READY foundation has become my favorite.
I have pretty normal skin and on rare occasions it gets dry. For those with dry skin I think it's very important to moisturize and let it seep into your skin before applying the foundation.
Here and else I have read reviews where people complain about this foundation looking "cakey" but I have to say that has not been my experience. I think it's important to invest into the Precision Face Brush to achieve a smooth, flawless finish.
I went into Sephora to get shade matched and I was darker in this foundation than in the Orignal Loose Mineral foundation.
Overall, my experience has been positive. I like my skin to look smooth, blemish free and nice without looking like I have makeup, rather, foundation on.
I've even received compliments on how great my skin looks when I wear this foundation.
I reccomend going to a Bare Escentuals or Sephora store to check out the foundation in person and/or to get shade matched.
My New Favorite Foundation.
I have been using the Original Foundation for the last 10 years. I decided to try out the READY Foundation after seeing it on QVC, reading reviews, watching reviews on online, and hear what people had to say on Social Media. I went in to get shade matched and found that the Fair in READY actually suits me better than Fair in the Original. I LOVE this foundation. Using the new brush it just glides on. I still use the Original Foundation as a concealer, but use the READY as my everyday foundation. I work a long 10 hour day and it looks just as beautiful when I walk out of work as when I walked in. Watch the tutorials on how to apply it, get shade matched, and you will LOVE this product! =D
May not be for everyone, but it works for me!
As previous reviews have stated, you may need to go a shade up. I am usually Medium Beige and went up to Golden Medium. It's still a little light, but I just apply the Tinted Mineral Veil and it blends in well. I like that it's a pressed powder. As I get older, I feel I need more coverage, but LESS IS MORE! You don't need to apply a ton of product, a little really does go a long way.
I really tried!
I was so looking forward to getting this make up. I went and got color matched which was Right on. But, it is to much of a matte finish then I want. I like the way my skin looks with the original has more of a luster or something. My skin just looked so dry with the Ready foundation. And it was a bit more messier to me than the original.Just please never discontinue the original!! lol!
Like it but...
I decided to try new ready foundation and was happy with it. It took a little practice to apply, but once I mastered that it worked great.
My problem is that after only 3 weeks (and the compact less than 1/4 empty) the foundation 'cake' broke into two pieces. It took another week and It was unusable, it had crumpled so badly.I carry my make up in a makeup bag, inside my purse. It did not get dropped or treated roughly...
So, love the convenience, feel and coverage, but not the 'life-expectancy'.
I Hate this stuff
I have tried many ways of wearing the ready foundation; with primer, without, light coverage brush, full coverage brush. Each way is just terrible. The worst thing is it sits in my pores on my nose making it look like a beige twister board and it only gets worse the longer I wear it. It looks caked on even with the light coverage brush. I feel like I put my powder foundation in olive oil and smeared it on my face. Also its too dark, even though I bought the same shade I always buy in the powder foundation. Also the salesperson told me that it had the exact same ingredients as the powder it was just pressed. Wrong, it contains oil and a whole list of other things. Its awful, just awful.
