Q & A

Mineral Veil - null 4.6 5 211 211
love it Perfect finishing touch. I wear the original mineral veil 05/22/2015
tinted mineral veil I love regular mineral veil and have used it for years. Thought I would try the tinted. I don't like it at all. It's very orange. I look like an Oompa Loompa. 05/07/2015
One of my favorite bare mineral products Live this, it really finishes my makeup routine. Have used this for many years. I rarely have to touch up, unless I'm going out in the evening. The longer it's on my skin the better it looks, wouldn't be without the tinted mineral veil. 04/19/2015
illuminating mineral veil has that special glow I like the "illuminating" because it gives you that little bit of sparkle. It's not like you dusted glitter all over your face or anything, not that at all, it's just that little extra special "glow". It brightens up your face whereas the regular mineral veil does not. 04/08/2015
On the fence I am a little on the fence about this. The texture is the same like original mineral veil. I thought I may be able to use it without the foundation if I didn't want to put on the whole system. The pigment is not quite right for me without the foundation. I am not sure it really adds anything to the foundation powder by having a pigment. I think the original may be more luminous. 04/02/2015
Product is great, packaging is not I love the powder - pretty much hate the container. I so hope they address two issues with this product: the size is WAY TOO SMALL for everyday use -- it is a waste of plastic when you have to keep reordering. Not good for a company supposedly concerned about overall health and being conscious about the environment. There's a disconnect here. Secondly, it is very hard to operate the "filter level" with the tiny holes to get the product. It takes so long to get to the powder, especially toward the end when there's not much left. But you get so little of the powder originally, I feel like I want to use all of it. Please redesign this product packaging! And please make available the 28g size, which I got in some "special offer" and could not get again. So frustrating on many levels. But as I said, I love the product and how it is actually healthy makeup. That is the reason I am committed to this product and the other loose powders. 03/22/2015
Great, but not a good touch up powder... I absolutely love this product to finish any make up look and adds the most healthy glow while keeping things matte. However, it tends to look a bit cakey if I use it to touch up throughout the day. A great product! 03/19/2015
LOVE I love this product as it helps my makeup stay put and doesn't allow me to get shiny. 03/09/2015
I love Hydrating Mineral Veil This product makes my skin feel much more hydrated this winter with the cold temps and harsh winds. It also gives my skin a glow. 03/02/2015
Wonderful product Great product that can be used to set your serum or to set your whole look when finished without being too heavy 03/01/2015

I just finished up a HUGE container of "Tinted Feather Light Mineral Veil" that my mother in law gave me years ago. I immediately stopped using my regular Mineral Veil once I tried it. It has a subtle sparkle and gives truly, utterly flawless coverage over my medium beige powder foundation. I want to replace it, but there isn't a Mineral Veil by the same name. The new "Tinted" Mineral Veil is described as "feather light," but the "Illuminating" Mineral Veil is described as having that subtle sparkle. Do I need to use both to achieve the same look as my old Mineral Veil?!

Have you tried Mineral Veil? I use it as a last step because it seems to pull your face together and just kind of perfect it! Like airbrushing or filter effect for your complexion. I don't get that same result from Radiances. Those are more like a highlighter, give more of like a glow which I like but wouldn't call it a can't-live-without. MV definitely is!

I have VERY oily skin and I'm still in high school, so it's embarrassing to "casually" wipe the excess oil on your nose or forehead. (I get oily mainly in the "t-zone"). How long does this product mattify you're skin and what's the best way to use this so the mattification lasts longer?

I also have oily skin, so i have found that after i use my primer i buff on this mineral veil then my foundation then the mineral veil again. i usually have oily problems through the day at my hair line, and around my nose, but it seems to help keep it at bay. but remember honey, every one is different. i would atleast give it a try, but for me it seems to work all day.

I've tried the tinted and it left a dull layer on my skin. I then tried the illuminating mineral veil and really loved how it left a glow, but the glow is very light for my medium to tan complexion. Any advice? Should I try to mix the two together?

Try putting a quarter into the grove on the back lid. Pry it up and put product in, place the lid back down and carefully push it into place.

I've tried this before and wouldn't recommend it. For some reason it doesn't work very well with the Bare Minerals foundation overtop. Plus, it looks gorgeous as a finisher!

I would still recommend using a primer, but yes! Applying Mineral Veil under your foundation will really help keep oily shine away for the day.

Yes, you can apply it before the foundation. I like to do this in the Summer months as an extra oil barrier.

I've had many sales associates at the boutiques suggest using the mineral veil (either ready or original) as a FIRST step before foundation esp if you have oily skin.

What happened to the very light weight, colorless, hydrating Mineral Veil?? It was awesome! Because it was so light weight and colorless, you could do quick touch ups all the time without worry of "piling it on".

I use the fairly medium, which is the lightest of the medium colors in the matte foundation. The tinted mineral veil IS darker, but if you use it with smaller flawless face brush, it does not go on heavy at all. If you are heavy handed you could wind up with your face looking very dark.
I would say the color is very close to the MEDIUM matte foundation. I use tinted in a flawless face case as a touchup to absorb midday oil and provide light coverage.

I use medium beige foundation, and tinted looks just fine with my skin tone. If you're unsure, try to find a boutique to go in and try it.

If you're referring to the tinted mineral veil then the picture makes it look darker than it actually ends up being on your face.

I mix mine with a little AOFC bare radiance and it's perfect - I use fairly light foundation.
