Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
I bought this concealer and it came with the full coverage brush. I was leery due to I have dark circles. I am really liking this concealer. It covers just right and it so easy to use. I apply it in a triangle shape under my eye and then apply my foundation. I am not old but not young so I'm in the process of trying to find products that dont make me look like i'm trying to hard to be young but then again do not want to look like a frump. I would recommend this concealer :)
Broad Spectrum Concealer (Bisque)
I have always needed to use creamy concealers (such as the Correcting Concealer) because although I have extremely dark circles (thanks to my family genes), I also have very loose skin/wrinkles under my eyes (at 23!) the powder concealers only accentuated that fact (which is why it has 4 stars instead of 5 - not the best for covering wrinkles!) I usually use it under my eyes after I use the Corrective Concealer.
However, this concealer is fantastic at concealing blemishes, dark spots, and redness! it feels so light, but covers really well. website says to use beforehand, but I usually use it after foundation (to cover what the foundation missed), with a quick swipe after the concealer to blend it seamlessly, and it works for me! You'll have to see which works best for you, before foundation or after.
Overall, it's a miracle concealer - you won't believe it until you try it.
Tip: It's all in the brush! Make sure you experiment with different brushes to find the one that blends/conceals the best - still looking for mine!
NOT FOR FAIR SKIN
I'm a bareminerals girl. I needed a concealer and thought this would work. The results were that it was too dark. I'm fair...PLEASE make this in a fair tone.
I used to try to avoid the extra cost of a concealer by just using the loose foundation under my eyes. Once I caved and purchased this product, wow, huge difference! I'm happy I tried this, it's a great product and I will continue to purchase it!
I have the lightest shade available and it's still too dark for me!? Now I'm not super pale, but still fair...love the coverage but the shade needs to be lighten! I would buy this product if they made it in lighter shades.
Not for fair skin
I am light skinned, but there are certainly people who are white than me walking around - I don't understand how so many make up companies have concealers that just don't work for fair skin. I have this concealer in Bisque, the lightest shade, and it is far too dark - it might work in the summer when I'm tan, but I'm going to have to wait about 9 months to find out. The correcting concealer is close, but I think has the wrong undertones for my skin, so I was hopeful that this concealer could work as an alternative.
In my low rating, am not saying the product itself is bad, but I don't really have the opportunity to find out.
My new go-to concealer!
I love how lightweight this concealer feels. I'm pleased with how it covers up my acne. It's not perfect, but then again, nothing is. Also, the shade fits is great - really, really close to my natural shade. I'm really happy with it and I would definitely recommend it!
Best concealer I've ever used!
In the past, I have used pencil concealers which caked or eventually wore off. This concealer, however, is perfect! It is so light yet it covers my blemishes, dark circles, and red spots perfectly! If I have a particularly troublesome spot I can just apply a little more concealer. Perfect coverage everytime!
I've been using Bare Escentuals for approx. 7 years. This is THE product I absolutely cannot live without. I am 65 years old and as I've aged, I have red spots, broken capillaries, brown spots, enlarged pores, dark under-eye circles, some old scars and wrinkles. Truly awful. The Bisque concealer actually ERASES all of it and gives me a smooth and even 'canvas' on which to work. A little Bare Minerals foundation in Light, a teeny bit of Warmth for blush, a light dusting of Mineral Veil, and I'm done. A bit of eye shadow and mascara and the transformation is complete. None of this would be possible or pretty without the Bisque Concealer evening out the skintones. This concealer works on red spots, brown spots, capillaries, racoon eyes, everything! This product is consistent over the years, works beautifully, and I cannot recommend it enough. It also lasts all day and does not come off. Imagine!! A product that does exactly what it says it will do, that retains its' high quality over the years, and at a decent price. What more could one ask for? This is one product that truly works and I highly recommend it. You'll be happily amazed.
I like the consistency of this product, and I like how well it covers. However, I bought the lightest shade and it was TOO DARK. I could MAYBE wear it when I'm at my tannest in summer, but right now, I'm in Denmark and I'm not getting much sun, so I've already paled enough to not be able to wear this for the rest of the season.
My favorite product
This is the only thing I use on my face. I don't need to use much. The reason I use it is because of the way it reflects light. The foundation is too flat and it looks terrible on me. I wish I could buy this in a larger container. I have to buy 2 or 3 at a time.
I.d. Multi-tasking Bisque is a must have concealer
I have used this concealer from I.d. Bare Escentuals for 8 years. I have fair skin and the color Bisque is by far the best concealer match for covering under eye, uneven skin tone, and minor breakout activity. I highly recommend this and never leave home without it.
A powder concealer for real? Yes and it is good!
This version of BE's concealer is really good. It stays on. If you aren't careful, you will find bright spots on your face where you'd applied it. But I have since learned to apply the concealer after I have put on a thin layer of mineral veil and to use the larger concealer brush. The mineral veil makes it easy to spread the concealer.
I still have my (two shades of) BE cream concealer, but, maybe because it is summer now, I can't imagine substituting this one with the cream concealer.
I have light-to-medium colored skin (and use Ready Golden Medium (and Light in the Original), and Summer Bisque is more than light enough for me. I believe there is a lighter version of this concealer, but if that is too dark, then maybe this line doesn't work for you.
IF YOU HAVE FAIR SKIN DO NOT BUY THIS
I BOUGHT THIS ONLINE ALL THE GREAT REVEIWS BUT I WAS SO UPSET I HAVE PALE SKIN AND THIS WAS SOOO DARK I KNOW A LOT OF GIRLS WANT TO LOOK TANNER BUT NOT ME I WANT THE RIGHT COLOR AND THIS WAS 4 SHADES TOOO DARK SO UPSET WASTE OF MONEY I CANT BELIEVE THEY DONT HAVE ANY COLORS FOR FAIR SKINED GIRLS!!!!!!!!
The only makeup I can't do without
I have the starter kit, but the only item I've replaced in four years is this. I am Puerto Rican / Italian with an olive complexion. Which has been turning red as I get older.
I never wore makeup because the one thing I could always count on was a blemish free, olive complexion that tanned fabulously in the summer and glowed in the winter...and then I turned 38. I started getting these little red bumps around my eyes and mouth (BTW, this condition is called perioral dermatitis--after three years my doctor prescribed Metronidazole Gel and it went away in two weeks, but I digress). At 40 I started noticing that my nose would turn bright red at times and I could see capillaries on my face.
This stuff works amazing for me. After I started using it my friends were like "what have you been doing? Your skin looks so great." I use the big blush brush over my nose, and spot brush if I have a blemish. I only wish they had it in a compact so I could keep it in my pocket. I really love this stuff.
That said, they do need to make lighter shades. I use the bisque and my skin is medium toned.
Summer Bisque Concealer
I was skeptical about trying this. I have dark spots just below my cheeks and dark circles under my eyes and some acne scars. I really didn't think this would cover at all. I thought it might do the same thing that all the other products did, like get into my crows feet and little lines and actually "enhance" what I was trying to cover, but BE did it again! I love this concealer!! I use it by it's self sometimes if I'm in a rush and it works!! Hope you never discontinue this, it's amazing to be sure!! Thanks!
Great for covering RED imperfections!
Before I bought this concealer, I debated whether I wanted to get this or the Well-Rested Eye Brightener. I finally decided on this one because I read a few reviews that said that it worked for their red blemishes AND the dark circles under their eyes. Well, this is NOT the case for me. Perhaps it is the olive undertones of my skin, but this concealer makes my dark circles WORSE and brings attention to them. I work nights, so the darkness of my circles can vary quite a bit, but I've never gotten this to successfully cover them while they're at any level of dark. I've tried applying it in varying levels of heaviness, but it goes from not enough to cover/brings attention to them to way too much/caked-on/still doesn't get rid of the dark color. I'll have to break down and buy the Well-Rested Eye Brightener to take care of those!
But this product is WONDERFUL for red blemishes! It covers the broken capillary on my face flawlessly, camouflages my little red pimples perfectly, and masks any mark that is based in the red family!
Remember: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT 100% EFFECTIVE FOR DARK CIRCLES UNDER EYES.
I had purchased this online in summer bisque awhile back, and it did not really match my skin tone (I am of mixed heritage Caucasian, Asian, Spanish) . I have to use mineral makeup on my skin and ONLY mineral makeup due to harsh chemicals making my skin break out. Although the minerals keep your skin healthy, they do not offer any coverage and worst of all - they don't match certain skin tones. I went to the actual shop yesterday, and purchased bisque (the lightest), and it is still too dark. I have some acne scars that are a deep shade of red, and all this concealer does is make them even more visible as it is too orange. All the shades are either too pink or orange. It also does not blend well at all. I suggest trying the well rested concealer instead; it looks like it may actually cover if you are paler, and are looking for a simple spot treatment. However, if you have acne I suggest you just wear the mineral matte foundation and nothing else, because the concealer will just make it look worse.
Bisque Concealer.. not a fan
I switched over to using Bare Minerals about a year and a half ago. The foundation felt amazing on my skin so I have been dying to try their concealer for my blemishes, under eye, and blood vessels that have burst. Unfortunately, I have found the concealer doesn't really cooperate as such- the only thing I can successfully cover is the small red spot where I have a burst blood vessel on my forehead. Even caked on, this concealer does not cover my dark blemish spots when they pop up. When I layer the foundation on as a means of a second concealer, this helps a little but not much more. (I use the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush.) I was disappointed with this product and would suggest to others to consider the new creamy Correcting Concealer as it may provide better coverage (which I have not used but was considering). Alas, I will keep searching for my perfect concealer out there.
Just what I've been looking for....
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I have oily skin on my T-zone and redness around my nose and under eyes. I hate putting thick, cream concealers on my face...it always feels so heavy and goopy. I LOVE this concealer! It's lightweight and doesn't increase the oiliness and it covers the redness and lasts all day! Perfection.
I love it, truly do. But I have dark under eye circles and this helps it blend in but doesn't fully cover these nasty circles...I love it because it helps greatly with no harsh chemicals...I think I need something a bit stronger but nonetheless it's a great product.
Change the packaging!
I love this product, but hate the new packaging! Like the other viewers, I agree that you can't get all the product out so therefore, you have to throw some of it away! Such a waste!
I bought this product yesterday and could hardly wait to try it. Having very sensitive skin especially around the eye area, I was hoping that this would not irritate that area. Have recently had a bad eye make-up experience which resulted in contact dermatitis and now that that has cleared up decided to give a mineral product a try. Only used a slight bit of the product under the eyes, slightly on the lids and in the corners closest to the nose just to give it a trial run, so to speak in case it turned out I was allergic to the product. Washed my face in the usual manor and much to my horror, 30 mins. later my eyes felt a little swollen and much to my horror I have terrible dark bruising in the areas that I had applied the summer bisque concealer! My eyes look as if I have been struck in both eyes. Cannot believe this but read a review by another person who described an issue very similar to mine as she stated that the dark area under her eyes were worse AFTER using the product. Don't know what I can do to eliminate the "bruising" but will be returning the product ...that's for sure! Wish I had not had this type of reaction as I really liked the coverage.
Amazing product that conceals EVERYTHING!
I received a mini size with my trial purchase to see if I would like this product. After only 2 uses, I was in love! This stuff is awesome! I have freckles, blemishes and even red marks on my face. This concealer blends effortlessly into my skin and covers everything naturally! I call it my "disappearing act" because its that great! I sometimes will wear just this with some blush and it works great! Highly recommend this product
Can't Beat It!
This concealer has saved me so many times. I use it to cover the dark circles under my eyes on days I don't get enough sleep. It is my lifesaver in the summer to help control shine in the t-zone. I wear summer bisque concealer and medium to medium beige foundation.
Used this for years before switching to the new correcting concealer. I give this one only 4 stars because it's not as good at "micro" concealing as the new correcting concealer (good for under eye circles, but not blemishes). In addition, more shades need to be created for this, as I did not have a good shade match with any of these options.
Need to go back to older style package
The newest container is awful. You can't get all product out. This makeup is good but costly, so being able to utilize all of it is important. Also, with the new packaging, there is less makeup as well. Please correct this packaging issue, so that all product can be used.
I am 47 years old and was given Bare Minerals by my mother. It was kit that she ordered and decided to pass on to me and my daughter. I could not believe this concealer, it was the best I have ever tried. It complete covered these small veins around my nose and when I have red spots it is flawless. I love all the Bare Minerals makeup , I am totally impressed , I normally wear Mary Kay but am slowly switching over. I am a breast cancer survivor and used this product when going through chemotherapy too as you start to look a little pasty.
A Bit of Magic
I use this in Bisque as an all over foundation when I don't want to wear a lot of anything. I have some redness and this tones it down. This is my "Go To," concealer when I use my Ready Foundation. I have tried others and I should just stop because this has lasted longer than anything else I purchased.
Not for Fair skin shades -- please add a shade!
Let me start by saying that I truly love almost all Bare Minerals products, been using them for several years, and have seen remarkable changes in the appearance and texture of my 39 year old face. I use the Matte foundation in "Fair", oddly enough combined with the Ready foundation in the lightest shade as well. Not sure if anyone else uses this combo, but the "Fair" shade in the loose foundation is actually a little dark for my skin, so a very little amount of the Ready foundation helps to lighten it up. My skin is very pale, and I happen to like it that way. Embrace who you really are, right? I also use the cleansers, moisturizers and skin treatments, primer, eyeshadow, etc., but I digress.
Anyway, I was looking for a concealer to compliment the foundation I wear on a daily basis. I have very fair skin, but tend to get dark circles under my eyes from genetic predisposition. I also have some redness around the creases of my nose that are not sufficiently covered by the foundation without caking it on. Then I run into the makeup looking heavy and actually accentuating my fine lines especially around my eyes instead of diffusing them. So my search was on to find a concealer that I would hope cover these areas without caking. I found this product and even though it didn't list a "Fair" option, I figured I would give the "Light" shade a shot. Unfortunately this didn't work out so well. While the texture and coverage of the product seemed good (which is why I gave it 3 hearts), and looked as if it would conceal, the shade for my skin tone was completely wrong. It made my eyes look as if the darkness underneath was worse instead of better, and the redness around my nose was replaced with dark patches. I tried to see if putting my fairest foundation over this concealer product would work, but it didn't. The "Light" concealer is way too dark for my face and I have not found a way to make it work for my fair skin tone. I think I would love this product if only it was made for me!
One more caveat -- I can't even enter "FAIR" in reviews that include skin shade! Again my closest choice is "light". If "fair" became a choice for not only this product, but also a criteria for writing a review and selecting your skin shade, I might be able to more accurately judge appropriate products for my skin shade. There is a HUGE difference between "light" and "fair", and I would like to know if colors and shades would work for me without being too dark or overpowering.
To the powers that be -- Thanks for reading, and please please please take more consideration for those of us with the fairest of fair skin tones. I also wouldn't mind if the Original and Matte loose foundations came in a fairer shade than "Fair".
