READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
I love this new foundation. All the benefits of the loose foundation, plus a bit more coverage for my melisma and acne scars. I think it's great!
In the original Bare Minerals foundation, I wear the Golden Medium. For the new Ready foundation, I wear the Golden Tan.
I must say that I did not think anything could be better than the original foundation. I stand corrected. For me, the Ready foundation is the best. It is perfect.
It takes me less time to apply the Ready foundation. My skin looks totally natural. I have received numerous compliments on my skin, within the first week of wearing the Ready foundation. From people I see frequently, I have heard comments like "Your skin looks great" ... and "Did you have a facial" ,.. and "Wow, you look really good/healthy". Of course I tell them about the Ready foundation.
Thank you for the great products.
Awesome Foundation - Just perfect
I have been a matte powder user for a year. I love the product, but, definitely liked a fuller coverage look. I found that I was going through my foundation too quickly. I had even considered going back to a liquid foundation (which I really did not want to do). So, when this came out, I figured that I would give it a try. WOW!
FIRST - Make sure you get color matched! As much as I thought I knew what color I'd be, I was WRONG! I got matched perfectly and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation. It is soooo easy to use and a lot neater than the loose. You definitely need to also have the proper brush. That is another huge key. I find that one swipe really is enough. And, it stays looking great even after a good workout at the gym. I love the flawless look that it gives me. There is NO liquid foundation that can even compare.
Love The Ready
Once I found my perfect shade, I love, love the Ready Foundation. I wear Fairly Light in the Original and tried several other shades since I thought I needed to go a shade darker. Then, I decided to try the Ready Foundation in Fairly Light and it is perfect for my fall/winter shade. I will use Medium Beige in the Summer. For me, I didn't need a different shade in Ready. I love the formula, the way my skin looks and the fact that I don't need to touch up.
GREAT Product!!! Make sure not to use too much....a light hand is best.
Some of the reviews of this product are not entirely accurate, or at least not for my skin. I am 28, fair skinned (usually use light or fairly light in the loose mineral foundation) and somewhat on the dry side (I have to moisturize immediately after cleansing otherwise my skin gets tight). Yes, this does apply a heavier than the loose mineral foundation, but not to the point where you cannot control it. Some of the women who work at the BM stores wear is as though applied with a pallet knife, so yes it can be worn very heavy. However if you apply it delicately there is just a subtle step up in coverage and it stays put for a good 8 hours or longer with the exception of cover on blemishes. It does not feel heavy or oily, so in that respect it is much like any other BM product. As I said I usually use fairly light but after reading other reviews I decided to purchase this in the Medium Beige tone. It is perhaps slightly too dark, but it has the nice effect of evening out my skin tone which is starting to show slight signs of broken blood vessels and overly pink cheeks. Overall I think this is a nice product and will eventually purchase it again.
My favorite BE foundation
After both reading some negative reviews plus loving my matte foundation, I didn't think I'd switch. The mess of the powder and travel non-friendliness empowered me to try, and I'm SO glad I did. I love this even more than my matte. I use less, it's easier and faster to apply, and (if this is possible with BE looking so natural), it's even more natural looking. My skin looks flawless, and I'm done applying in all of a minute. Another plus for me is I hardly have to use my concealer (BE powder concealer ) because this conceals so well. I find it even gets rid of my awful under eye darkness. Since I've read so many negative reviews, I thought I'd mention a few things. First, make sure your moisturizer and primer are totally dry. Next, you need the Precision brush because you need to PRESS, and being flat, this brush makes that easier to do. Next, oh my gosh do NOT swirl, tap, and buff and don't think you need to use as much. You'll make a mess and it will look awful. Just like the video, press, then apply long strokes. Then maybe another light coat. You don't want to see product on your brush or you've used too much. Also, if you like the original's non-matte look, you might not like this. It looks creamy and matte-- no glow. I spent the time writing this because I love the product and hope I can help others who perhaps used it incorrectly. Can't speak for breakouts here because neither matte nor Ready bothered me. It has different minerals in it so that's possible. I love it and my skin looks fantastic, which it is not without BE!
Not for me...
I have used BE for years and LOVE it, so I figured the new pressed foundation would be great, as well. This was the ONLY new product I used and after only two days, my chin started to break out in pimples. I upped my cleansing routine, but it didn't help. After stopping using the pressed foundation and going back to the original powder, my skin cleared up and I haven't had the problem since. I ended up returning the pressed foundation to the BE store and trading it in for my normal powder. I also didn't care for how much of the pressed powder I had to use to get the same coverage I normally get from the loose powder. I think I'll just stay with the original BE foundation powder. Why mess with an already perfect product? The only nice thing I did like was that it came with a mirror and was perfect for carrying in my purse...except it doesn't come with a brush, which still raises that problem when traveling.
If I had begun with this foundation, added the correcting concealer, the mineral veil and the blush...I would have no need for all the loose powders and brushes. The four above mentioned products and a moisturizer is all that is needed to make your day gorgeous. They are all I am taking on my trip to Florida next month. My suitcase will be so much lighter.
Love them all.
I so so so so wanted to LOVE this product! I LOVE my Original and was ready for the convenience of Ready, however, the finish looked terrible on me! I envy those who had a great review of this product because I believe it is great…for some skin types. I, unfortunately, have oily skin with dry patches and ugh…adult acne. It was a lot messier than I thought it was going to be…just as messy as the Original. The makeup looked cakey on my face and my pores seemed to be amplified. On my dry patches my skin was flaking off more so than usual and it really aged me. I'm 23 and usually have people thinking I'm 16…no joke. But this product probably made me look like I was in my 30s (little exaggeration).
Not my favorite
This is a good product with good coverage, but I still like the original best for its luminescence.
I have used the original loose powder forever. This last time I decided to try something different and buy the ready formula. When the makeup artist put it on me I loved it. It stayed on great and gave me a flawless complexion, and the little more coverage I was looking for. That being said when I got home and tried to recreate the skin I had instore I was disappointed. I was disappointed because instead of wearing off gradually, Ready cakes to places you are dry, or where you have hair (eyerows especially) and wears off dramatically in the places you want coverage (nose, forehead, chin). I also started using Bare Minerals becuase I wanted to be able to dust some make up on and look flawless and natural. I found that when applying Ready I had to put a full face of makeup on to look decent, and touch up my foundation constantly. This is not the product for a girl on the go. I love that it is ultra portable, but that is about it. I am almost done with Ready and I cannot wait to go back to the store and get the original formula loose powder!
love my READY Foundation! (Dark)
I have always been a Bare Minerals Foundation fan, both the loose powder and now this READY foundation has become my favorite.
I have pretty normal skin and on rare occasions it gets dry. For those with dry skin I think it's very important to moisturize and let it seep into your skin before applying the foundation.
Here and else I have read reviews where people complain about this foundation looking "cakey" but I have to say that has not been my experience. I think it's important to invest into the Precision Face Brush to achieve a smooth, flawless finish.
I went into Sephora to get shade matched and I was darker in this foundation than in the Orignal Loose Mineral foundation.
Overall, my experience has been positive. I like my skin to look smooth, blemish free and nice without looking like I have makeup, rather, foundation on.
I've even received compliments on how great my skin looks when I wear this foundation.
I reccomend going to a Bare Escentuals or Sephora store to check out the foundation in person and/or to get shade matched.
My New Favorite Foundation.
I have been using the Original Foundation for the last 10 years. I decided to try out the READY Foundation after seeing it on QVC, reading reviews, watching reviews on online, and hear what people had to say on Social Media. I went in to get shade matched and found that the Fair in READY actually suits me better than Fair in the Original. I LOVE this foundation. Using the new brush it just glides on. I still use the Original Foundation as a concealer, but use the READY as my everyday foundation. I work a long 10 hour day and it looks just as beautiful when I walk out of work as when I walked in. Watch the tutorials on how to apply it, get shade matched, and you will LOVE this product! =D
May not be for everyone, but it works for me!
As previous reviews have stated, you may need to go a shade up. I am usually Medium Beige and went up to Golden Medium. It's still a little light, but I just apply the Tinted Mineral Veil and it blends in well. I like that it's a pressed powder. As I get older, I feel I need more coverage, but LESS IS MORE! You don't need to apply a ton of product, a little really does go a long way.
I really tried!
I was so looking forward to getting this make up. I went and got color matched which was Right on. But, it is to much of a matte finish then I want. I like the way my skin looks with the original has more of a luster or something. My skin just looked so dry with the Ready foundation. And it was a bit more messier to me than the original.Just please never discontinue the original!! lol!
Like it but...
I decided to try new ready foundation and was happy with it. It took a little practice to apply, but once I mastered that it worked great.
My problem is that after only 3 weeks (and the compact less than 1/4 empty) the foundation 'cake' broke into two pieces. It took another week and It was unusable, it had crumpled so badly.I carry my make up in a makeup bag, inside my purse. It did not get dropped or treated roughly...
So, love the convenience, feel and coverage, but not the 'life-expectancy'.
I Hate this stuff
I have tried many ways of wearing the ready foundation; with primer, without, light coverage brush, full coverage brush. Each way is just terrible. The worst thing is it sits in my pores on my nose making it look like a beige twister board and it only gets worse the longer I wear it. It looks caked on even with the light coverage brush. I feel like I put my powder foundation in olive oil and smeared it on my face. Also its too dark, even though I bought the same shade I always buy in the powder foundation. Also the salesperson told me that it had the exact same ingredients as the powder it was just pressed. Wrong, it contains oil and a whole list of other things. Its awful, just awful.
I love READY!
I really love this foundation....but I didn't at first. So, for those of you unsure, play around with the application techniques and brushes and you will most likely fall in love with this! 1. Get color matched - this is critical. Unfortunately this was a painful process that resulted in multiple trips and exchanges before the "right" color was found. Granted this was at an Ulta as the BE Boutique near me wasn't open at the time this launched . I wear Fairly Light in the Original...and I also wear Fairly Light in the READY (most people have to go up a shade or two, but I didn't have to).
Less is more...I repeat, leas is more! Just a tap or two at the most and long strokes across the face and keep blending...you will soon see the coverage right before your eyes yet you don't "see" makeup, your skin just looks perfected! Do this again for more coverage. It is so easy to put too much on but please ease into it or you will not like the results. Also, make sure your moisturizer and/or primer is completely dry before applying.
I find this wears very well throughout the day and really love it!
Still up in the air...
First off, tapping once does not work for me. I seem to be using more of this product than of the loose minerals. It does give me a nice coverage once I get enough on there. I was hoping for a bit more moisture with this one as well. It is a great product for my makeup bag, less mess than the loose foundation, and as always, it has staying power!
It's in the color!
I tried READY foundation right away when it was released and I didn't like it compared to the Original loose product. I looked like I do when I'm not feeling well - sort of gray and lifeless. I was trying the same color as my loose match. Finally I went into a boutique and they matched me up a shade and it has been wonderful! I love this now! It is so easy to use, so light feeling, so natural and healthy looking, great for travel, I just can't say enough now that I have the right color!
Forever a bare minerals girl!
I have been using the original bare mineral foundation for the past 6 months. I absolutely love this foundation. I thought I needed a fuller coverage and tried many different liquid foundations. After much disappointment with each one I tried the new ready bare minerals foundation. I have completely fell in love with this new foundation. The coverage is amazing and natural. I have been given so many compliments to how great my skin looks and how clear my skin is. I honestly believe that ever since I started using bare minerals that my skin has gone from a 1 to a 5. Anyone who asks me about foundation, now gets refereed to Bare Minerals. I will forever be a bare minerals girl!
I've tried to like it!!
I am so frustrated with this product! When I first put it on, it was awesome! It had great coverage and looked so smooth and nice. I ordered it because even though I love the regular loose mineral foundation, it does make my face dry and settle in my fine lines. (I'm only 30, I don't have too many!) So after doing my makeup I left my house and didn't look in the mirror again for hours. I noticed a couple of people kind of looking at my face funny, and when I checked it out, I looked like a mess!!! It was completely caked around my nose and upper lip, and very settled in around my eyes. I did not get sweaty or oily...so I have no idea why it does this? Because, unfortunately, it does it every time. I have a flawless face brush that I use for application, and I really try to apply it lightly and how they tell you to. I am bummed to say the least!
I went to Sephora last week and lucked out. A Bare Escentual rep. from Indianapolis was there and helped me match the color. I looked best in what I normally wear in the summer. It is not as shinny as the original and not as matte as the matte formula which makes it just perfect. I also bought the new brush which I think helps a lot. A little bit goes a long way and the application technique is somewhat different, but when appllied correctly the coverage which is buildable is seamless.
Get a color match!
I ordered this online according to my regular color
choice in original. Big mistake! I normally use fairly
light, but had to go to medium beige in this formulation.
I never would have thought I should/could go that dark, but
the color I ordered would have looked terrible. I liked what
I saw when I switched. Still waiting on shipment to exchange
for correct color. Go darker (like light to medium) and know
your undertones if ordering online.
Only foundation I'll ever use again
I have used BE for years, but have bounced back and forth with other foundations because I felt I needed liquid foundation for better coverage--which usually just made me break out worse. I went in to BE right before coming back to school and thought I would give the new foundation a try. I was matched for color in the foundation, veil, blush, and bronzer. I got all 4. I was absolutely amazed with how flawless my face looked. I bought the new brush as well and when I came back to school my friends kept complimenting how great my skin looked. I am absolutely in love with this product and don't think I will ever change again!
Confindence in a Compact
The sales associate tested my skin and when she realized it was on the dryer side she recommended I try this foundation. She matched it to my skin (2 shades darker than what I had been using in the previous Bare Mineral foundation) and I was amazed at the difference. This make up made my skin look flawless. It covered my sun damage and made my skin glow. The next day at work I had several comments asking what I'd done differently. I felt like a new woman.
I've used Bare Minerals for ten years and loved it. I'm so glad they brought another product to make me feel like a million dollars.
Nothing like the original
The convenience of the compact is great but for me this foundation makes my face look very dry. I went into a boutique for a color match and they thought I should go with the same color I wear in the original (medium beige). Once I got it home and put it all over my face I really didn't like the color at all. It's hard to explain. It made my eyelids and under my eyes look bluish. Very strange. Too bad I was hoping I would love it
Wanted to love and I do but....
This product will clog your pores and may you BREAKOUT!! I have sensitive skin, which is the main reason I started using Bare Minerals. I needed new foundation about a month ago and decided to try READY. I wish I would have stuck with the Traditional that I have used for years. About 2 weeks after starting READY...I had the WORST breakout of my life. Had to be the foundation because nothing else in my skin care regiment had changed. I loved the coverage and the look of the foundation, just not the subsequent breakout. I am going back to the tried and true traditional and never straying again!
When I found out about the READY Foundation I was curious. I went and purchased some (after getting shade matched of course) and absolutely fell in love!! I know I've heard that you usually have to get a shade or two darker than your loose powder one but in fact I went a shade lighter than my loose powder. It is amazing stuff!! Quicker to use and less mess. Awesome!!
I love READY
I've worn BE for years. People didn't think I wore makeup. I wasn't exactly happy about that, even though, I love the natural look. I felt like I spend good money for these products and it needs to look like I have on foundation. LOL. I bought READY as soon as it hit the store. It is easier to put on and doesn't have the mess. I tried using my kabuki brush with it and I didn't like the look. I bought the precision brush ... it makes all the difference. My morning regiment was taking too long and this minimized it greatly. I see the look on people that I don't know face ... some will pay me a great compliment and some just have this WOW look. I tried not to use the veil compact but, it looks much better with it. You do have to be careful not to get too much of the Ready or the veil on. Too much is just that ... too much. The color variation for me was from the original of med tan to golden deep in Ready. If you are going to use Ready ... get the right brushes!
