Well-Rested Eye Brightener Broad Spectrum SPF 20
Not sure about this stuff
Based on the reviews, it seems that people really like this stuff, but for me, it looks freaky around my eyes. It goes on too white, and it makes me look really tired and puffy. It does not look
natural at all to me. I have tried it on top of the bare minerals cc eye primer. I don't know how
to make it work. So far, my most favorite concealer is the bisque. It looks natural and it goes on so fast! When I use the cc eye primer, it takes me awhile to get it on right. If I just use the bisque, over a silicone based primer (not the cc eye primer) it goes on very quickly and lasts all day. I save myself a lot time in the morning and when I look in the mirror during the day, it looks much more natural. I think that I will stick with the bisque.
Great for pale girls with yellow undertones!
I wear bare minerals original foundation in "Fairly Light" and this works perfectly with it!! I am one of those rare people that has pale skin that actually can tan really well, only I choose to protect myself from the sun and stay fair. The only problem with that is usually it's so hard to find shades that match my skin! But this concealer does. It seems like everything made for fair skin has pink undertones, since fair people usually have skin types that burn in the sun. But since I have yellow undertones it can be very frustrating to find things light enough to match me since people assume that if you have yellow undertones you
must love to tan because you can. Anyways, this has full coverage of my under eye circles and is slightly lighter than the Fairly Light foundation so I also can use it as a very subtle highlighter on the bridge of my nose and top of my cheekbones. Works best with the Bare Minerals concealer brush, if you don't have that already you should get it, that brush is amazing too. This also doesn't settle into any lines and lasts all day, doesn't rub off easily. I have combination type skin. I hope they never discontinue this product, best concealer I have ever used and my makeup doesn't look perfect and complete until I use it.
Sorry this didn't work out for me
I don't know quite what to do with this product. I thought it might take some of the redness from my eyelids, but it is just a yellowy white shadow. I have green eyes and reddish skin tone. Just not working for me. will put it in my box of cosmetics to give to my grandaughter, hopefully it will be good for her.
Not for me
I just didn't have any luck with this product at all. Every time I used it people told me I looked puffy. Or tired. I can look puffy and tired for free! Thank you tho
For Fair Skinned People.
I'm not too sure if this is the right way to use this item but this is how I use it. I put it under my eyes and on the eye lids before I put on my foundation. Only because I find that it is pretty yellow if I put it over the foundation to get that 'well rested' look. It certainly works well that way however, I guess it would become more like a concealer.
I am really FAIR skinned so if I put it over top of the foundation it looks terrible. Just in case there were any other fair skinned people looking at this item.
Too yellow for fair girls
I was so excited to try this product that I bought the full size. It is far to yellow for fair skin with cool undertones. I tries using a precision brush and applying it only over blue under eye circles...and it still showed up "yellow" next to my skin. It is unwearable.
Love Bare Minerals
I use well rested eye brightner to cover red splotches on my face and it works great. I also use it to cover bags under my eyes. I've used bare minerals for several years now and love the products. I do sometimes get caking if I have hot flashes and perspire a lot, but I think that would be true of any make-up.
Does not crease, looks natural, works well with the original and matte foundations. I wouldn't recommend this for trying to cover really dark circles.
Doesn't work for my under-eye darkness
I don't like this as an under-eye concealer for a few reasons. I find that even with a moisturizer and primer, this really settles into fine lines. I wear fairly light foundation and like a lot of fair-skinned people my dark circles are very noticeable. This doesn't cover well enough in that area. It's great for coverage of red spots elsewhere on my face though or if you want to brighten your eyelids. I got somewhat better under-eye correction from an eye-shadow called Lemon Freeze which is less gold than this. Unfortunately, it was only sold in a discontinued collection. I've just tried a sample of the correcting concealer that's a cream rather than a powder and it provides substantially better coverage than any of the powders. It's almost enough to make me want to try the liquid foundation which is something I swore I'd never touch after switching to BE over 10 years ago.
I love this BM product
I have glaucoma and the eye drops I have to use have discolored the area around my eyes. Plus, I have Rosacea which causes red splotches on my face. I'm also very allergic to most cosmetics, even some that are hypoallergenic. I searched for many years and spent tons of money trying to find a product that would really cover my skin discolorations. About 3 years ago, my daughter gifted me with an introductory gift of Bare Minerals. I liked it so well that I began to experiment with other BM products, Well Rested being one of them. I used it around my eyes and on all red splotches and it covered perfectly. Plus, I'm not allergic to it! I love this stuff and will not do without it!
