High Shine Eyecolor - null
I love the High Shine Eyecolor!
I first bought Moonshine and Rose gold! I LOVE IT! It's easy to put on, I use the applicator it comes with. For me, I put it on in the morning before school or work, and it stays all day. It doesn't crease or smudge. it lasts all day! I wear these almost every day and i absolutely love it! the shine isn't overpowering for school or work and it looks great to go out with friends!
I have this in product in Luster which is a mix of gold and silver. I love the color combination because it can go with both warm and cool colored shadows. The applicator is spring loaded, which can make it hard to apply straight out of the bottle. Typically I use a smaller eye brush and dip it on the sponge tip and then place it on my eye. These do have a lot of fallout in the container and when they dry. Over all these are convenient and pretty, but may require a bit too much clean up to have them replace my everyday READY shadows.
I was disappointed with this purchase, I was highly excited to try it and when I put it on it looked great however within an hour it seemed to developers a mind of its own and migrated where I did NOT want it, it also creased. Sadly I have only worn it once! Bummer!! If it is improved I would give one more go....-Rebecca
This is the best eyeshadow I have ever bought
I bought the "Gold Medal" eyeshadow and it is flawless!!!! It goes on your eyes really easily and is not too much color. It is the perfect shine and the color really looks nice! I really recommend everyone to get this. I got the last on at the store I bought it at, so that means a ton of people bought it/loved it! Hope this helps!
Awesome All Days Stay BUT very messy
I absolutely love the quality of this eyeshadow... I use the Moonshine, Luster and Frost. My favorites are Frost & Luster.. than again they're also alot easier to clean away than the Moonshine (A deep purple). When I use the Moonshine I put it on the outter edge of my eyelid. After applying it, I look like I just got into a brawl lol and now I have 2 black eyes. It's very time consuming to clean up.. Especially since the eyecolor is meant to STAY.. That's where I'm not so favorable about this product.. so I've learned that with any deeper colors of this line, apply your eye color 1st!!! And do the rest of your face after. Or you will end up either A- Doing your make up twice. (which we all know that we cherish every single mineral of our make up so we don't want to waste it ;) ) B- Looking like you just got knocked out lol C- Spend countless minutes trying to get it off your cheeks and under your eyes (Probably making you late to work or where ever you are going) And Last but not least.. D- YOU ARE NOW IN A BAD MOOD... lol And we don't want that. So as we have all encountered some kind of flaw in such an awesome eye shadow, We can all help each other here with our own personal tips & tricks used to avoid these bad experiences. One thing that has yet to fail me on this is to apply inwards not as you would normally but starting from just say "Nose to ear" direction.. I go backwards now and no longer dread using my favorite eye shadows anymore. And have actually purchased more since mastering the application process.. wish you ladies the same luck!!
I love these
I went to the Bare Minerals boutique and bought some of these. I asked the lady at the store to actually show me the best way to use them. So she told me the best way was to tap the top of the lid down a couple of times, then if you have a loose eye shadow lid nearby put a tap a little bit of it into the lid and apply it with an eye shadow brush, then you won't have a mess. So that's how I applied mine and I never had any kind of a mess at all. I also don't do over my entire eye. I apply my eye shadow and the do a small line of it below my bone.
Like nothing else out there.
I bought one of these colors and was not sure that I like it,but you know what I looove it. I have bought just about every color in the group, I actually think they should make more. I don't have any problem with fallout. I type off any access and you a eye shadow brush to blend in the color to give me a lite from within look, and it looks great. I can use it day or night and it is quick and easy to apply, once again BE makes another great product.
I have 3 colors love it
I wear a primer so that might be why it never smudges or smears. I put a little on my lid and blend with a brush. I am about to order another color. I use this a lot of days for work they blend beautifully with each other or other shadows.
Love the color, hate the mess!
I got this a while ago and had a love/hate relationship with it. I loved the color (golden copper). It was beautiful and lasted throughout the day. The only problem was the applicator was terribly messy. I had to tap (and the word tap is putting it lightly) the applicator to remove the excess a lot. My husband was willing to drive me to the store and buy me another eye shadow to get me to stop using this because he hated listening to the excessive "tapping!" Still after trying to get the excess off of the applicator, I would end up with a couple of tiny drops of shadow on my cheeks after application. Those tiny drops go a LONG way. If I tried to just wipe it away, the shadow would be all across my face. It was awful. That was before I finally gave in to putting my eye make-up on first followed by face make-up because I would have to re-do my face every time! Pro (like all BE shadows) it applies and stays. Con it is terribly messy and not a tiime-saver at all. Will not ever buy again.
Does exactly what I'd hoped
I'm in my 50's, so a high shine product is not my best look except for the inner eye corner to provide illumination and brightness. I've been using a competitor's product for that purpose with great success, and this works just as well if not better. With the color I chose, which is Ice, you don't see any color per se; it's a neutral frost (although darker skins might actually see the pink cast). I would never use the sponge applicator; it's simply too big and applies too much product, which is why I knocked off a star. I use my own brushes to control the application, and I suggest starting with the tiniest possible amount as this packs quite a wallop in shine. If you're going to use this where you want it to be obviously there (e.g., across your brow bone or lid), I'd use a clean sponge applicator to control the powder and prevent it from getting all over under your eye. I was taught long ago that the really frosty powders apply better with a sponge on the eyes and have found that to be true.
