READY Touch Up Veil Broad Spectrum Spf 15 - null
Takes away the oil!!
If you have skin thats oily or slightly greasy, this product will nip that in the bud. I have a compact I keep at work and dust a bit on in the afternoon to soak up the oil. It makes my skin look more matte and clear. If you are planning to go out after work and don't want to wash up and start your makeup over, just use this to clean things up and refresh. Highly recommend it!!! Keep one in your purse or work bag, too!
The best powder I ever had
I am so happy that I bought this product, since it does what it promise. At my age, my skin really need make up which is benefiting instead showing the not anymore youthful "texture". I am very skilled in choosing my product and know what I need. There are tons of powders on the market, but each of them have always something why I did not like it. Until now. This is the VEIL I was dreaming about. I would recommend it to all of you.
Thought I'd give this a try and bought it more for portability and ease of use when not at home. Wow, I should have gotten this sooner because the staying power on the ready products are the best. I live in Hawaii and the humidity can get bad, so the shine on my face always needs a touch up. Well, with the ready I notice less shine sooner and less touchup. Great, and I do notice this too on the ready foundation.
Get rid of those nasty puffs!
I had the same experience described in the review by Maggie Mae. Got a sample size (the "Ready Illuminating Touch-Up Veil") and could not believe how bad it smelled. Petrochemical type odor. I knew it was probably from the soft black plastic on the back of the puff. I discarded that immediately and left the compact sitting open on a windowsill. But more than a week later the scent was still in the product! No way I want my face to smell like that, to me or others! I scraped all the powder out, hoping to at least salvage the nice little silver compact for alternate use. Unfortunately, the odor still remains, though much less strong. It seems to be concentrated in the black plastic surrounding the silver product tray, so it would probably be best to get rid of that material, too. I would expect this kind of thing to slip by QC with drugstore junk, not Bare Minerals.
I really like the feel of this product. It produces a very nice polished effect, to complete the makeup application, also adding some protection to go with it. The only thing that I have had problems with is the compact powder coming loose, rather than staying compact and together as it should. This occurs after several applications have been made. At first, I thought it may be just a fluke. However, I've purchased several since and have the same issue. There is a point when the compact powder comes loose and separates, which means then, though you can still apply, it is not as smooth or easy to place on your skin, and it is messy when you open up the compact itself.
I continue to use because I like the way the mineral veil feels, and the comfort and ease when all is working properly. I may, however, go back to the original mineral veil, the non compact version, after this. Has any one else had this particular problem?
Very Disappointed w/ BareMinerals
I have fair/light golden sensitive skin. I thought of using BareMinerals because I had heard how great it was for sensitive skin. I love natural products so I thought I would give this particular powder a shot. The price seemed a bit excessive but I was willing to pay for good quality. As soon as I put this powder on my skin felt like it was burning. I literally had to wash it off right away so my skin would stop itching and burning. After giving this powder several different tries after the first horrible experience, I noticed that the heat made it worse... I tried to see if I could wear it but it seems impossible even if it is cool outside...
Also, regarding the color and how it matched my skin I thought this powder did a very poor job. I have worn cheaper powders before and they matched my skin tone much better than this one did. It was not necessarily that it looked fake or unmatched, but more that it gave my face sort of a "ghost/dead" look.
All in all, very disappointed. DO NOT buy this if you have SENSITIVE skin...it will literally make you wanna tear your skin off.
Love with disappointment...
I love this product, hate the way it smells! I got a "sample" size with an order (it was only .5 oz) and I'm not sure why - but as soon as I opened it, it smelled like some type of harsh chemical - hard to describe exactly. The smell has not diminished since I've had it either. However, I love, love, love how it goes on and refreshes without having to get my full mineral veil powder out. Anyone else have issues with the smell?
I was using a setting spray until i discovered...
Okay so I've been a bare minerals/escentuals addict since high school so that would be about 4 years now. I never touched this stuff because I always thought powdering my nose and wearing POWDER as a setting formula could never work, it'll crease and diminish throughout the day. Well I was WRONG. This veil in deep has been pretty much the ying to my yang. I still love my hydrating Kat Von D setting spray but this right here...this veil right here.. it beats all odds. I'm between complex climates as well from California to Missouri, so stagnant beautiful weather to HUMID AWFUL AWFULNESS. lol ..
I love this, thanks to Jessica at the St. Louis Galleria Mall, I most likely will only use the other setters if I swim or something. Also This setting veil reduces the amount of sweat on my face. It's pretty much perfect, and compact.. fits everywhere. And I love the little plush powder pad that comes in it. Cute.
Great to touch-up after work
This works very well to refresh my make up after work. Makes me look less tired!
I wish there was a replacement cartridge instead of just tossing the container and buying a new one each time.
READY Mineral Veil
I just purchased this yesterday. I'm not crazy about it at this point. We'll see. I would like to see this one come in the Hydrating formula and in a Brightening formula unless I overlooked this one. I have been a BM user for about 12 years and generally love the product line with the exception of too many shimmery eye shadows. I would like to see a few more that are matte and one that have a very subtle shimmer.
