bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
Best liquid foundation out there
I've avoided using a liquid foundation in fear of it causing break outs as well as appearing fake or feeling too heavy. This is, without a doubt, the only liquid foundation that I've been pleased with. It applies smoothly, evens skin tone, and lasts all day (when paired with a finishing powder). I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for natural yet total coverage. Your skin will look beautiful if you have the proper shade!
i bout this last week and have fallen in love! im shade matched to golden fair in the original and light in the ready and shade 1 bare porcelian in this! so as you can tell i have very light skin! during the winter i bought josie marans serum foundation in fair/light and i like this soo much better i like it just a bit more than the original! but its very close! they both give a glowy effect which i love since my skin is dry! i start off with the pt brightening primer and then this with about 8 drops for my desired coverage since im young and do breakout sometimes. i do set with the ready mineral veil just to keep it in place.even though its summer time i try to stay out of the sun so i doubt ill need to get a darker shade! i will be buying it for my mom and fiances mom! i highly recommend for those with dry skin. if it doesnt work for you try different things everyones skin is different!
Amazing glow, evenness, pores smaller, dewey
My face looks amazing with this foundation. It looks glowing and flawless in pictures. I use it with two drops of the antioxidant or BB primer, and I use more drops than recommended of the foundation. Maybe about six drops.
Vibrant Silky Smooth Look
I love how this product feels on my skin and the best part of it is that you really only need about 2-3 drops to have great coverage. The foundation lasts about 6-8 hours; lasts a bit longer if you use mineral veil to set the foundation. Note that I have combo skin. I have to say that I actually feel that I look younger when I have my foundation on. Makes me glow!
bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation
OMG.... The name of it says it all. It brightened up my face and made my skin look pure (flawless and youthful) again. If you read the directions and use the amount that it says to (one-two drops), it will not look "caked on". I used to use another foundation by a different makeup brand, but this tops it for sure. I will be using this product for a long time. It's quick and the coverage is excellent. I laughed when I saw that one drop is supposed to cover your whole face.... but believe it or not, IT DOES. I start with my problem areas and move in a circular motion around my face. My mother also purchased it and it covered her dark spots and she has never been more confident. I definitely recommend this product. Love Love Love!
Great Product that was Worth the Wait
Ever since I heard about bareSkin, I couldn't wait to get my hands on them to try. I've been a long time Bare Minerals user from the Original to the Ready Foundation but have always preferred a liquid foundation. I purchased mine when it was released and have been using it since. I followed other people's suggestions to use a primer and really a few drops goes a long way. I use the Perfecting Face Brush to apply and buff the product in and my skin looks and feels great. I am in between shades so I actually have both the Bare Linen and Bare Natural and when blended it is a perfect match, or it works just as well at a hint lighter or darker. I do think the "secret" is the primer and also to really buff the product into your skin for a natural look. My skin doesn't feel like it's wearing make up at all, and what girl can keep a secret?!?…I dragged my sister into the nearest retailer so she, too, can pick up her supply of bareSkin.
Good coverage with some caveats
First off, I actually like this foundation better than its powder counterpart. I feel it covers my skin better (even though the sales lady said it was supposed to provide less coverage) and creates a truly even look. It conceals the redness from old blemishes very well, unlike the powder for me.
It stays all day, even if I'm running up the stairs! Just make sure to blot your sweat instead of rubbing your sweat off your face because otherwise you'll rub the foundation off. Set it with mineral veil and it's a really comfortable makeup even for my sensitive skin. Other liquid foundations would provide coverage, but would make my face dewy and sweaty after a short while. I have combination skin.
It does accentuate any dry patches, but most foundations do. I don't really have wrinkles but I suspect it may settle into those. I don't think it would set well without mineral veil either. And I believe the brush is a MUST for application; I tried putting samples of product on the back of my hand and rubbing it in with my fingers, and it was way too heavy and settled into every crease very badly, which didn't happen when I got home and used the brush on my face the next day.
Last tip: match the tone (cool, neutral or golden) with your old powder foundation. I was between porcelain and linen inside the store, and the sales lady thought porcelain looked better on my hand, but I stuck with linen because I'm a neutral tone, and it's a good match for tone, if not a tiny bit light. A bit of tinted mineral veil makes it work perfectly without making my face look too pale :)
Love this product!!
I'm was so happy to see Bare Minerals launch bareSkin Pure Serum Foundation! It's hard to believe that 2 tiny drops will provide adequate coverage - but it does! I have not used liquid foundation since I started using Bare Minerals about 10 years ago, and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful shade match and the silky feel on my skin. I will definitely use and order this product again. Hopefully it will become part of the Club :-) My Ultimate 6 items would truly be the "ultimate" if I could replenish every 4 months as follows: 1 original foundation, 1 bareSkin serum foundation, 1 mineral veil, 1 purely nourishing moisturizer, 1deep cleansing foam and 1 intense black lash domination!!!
NOT FOR OLDER SKIN
I stopped using liquid makeup when I began using Bare Minerals and SWORE I would never go back. I thought a Bare Minerals product would be different. After spending $50+ just for the makeup and the brush, I found that the liquid remained liquid on my face. It never settles and I end up putting the original Bare Minerals over it to make it set. I tried using it all different ways to make sure it wasn't the way I was using it. Disclaimer: I am 50 years old. It looks great in the A.M. but by the P.M. I can see every wrinkle! I settles throughout the day into every crease and pore on your face. YIKES, I looked horrible by the end of the day. I will be returning to the original Bare Minerals and not be tempted by their claims again.
I love it!
I love this foundation, it last all day, doesn't break me out, lightweight and easy to apply. I have combination oily skin, so I saw that you can apply with or without primer. The first few times I tried it I used moisturizer than primer, it lasted all day with my mineral veil and looked great even after 12 hours. Than I tried it without primer and I did have the effects of caking and being very oily/shiny. I bought the brush to apply with, but I haven't used because I've been using the synthetic flawless brush from BM which works great and still gives me a flawless look and easy application. I'm contemplating returning the brush for this product, but maybe I will try it out. I did try the brush in store, but it gave me a cakey look, but I bought anyways thinking maybe it will better when I used a veil, so we'll see.... Also, I only use 2-4 drops and it gives me great coverage and I barely have to use concealer only on my darkest acne scars
