bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
I am absolutely in love with this! It looks great, stays on all day and I can't feel it caked to my face! I work at an indoor pool that gets very humid in the summer, but it still doesn't budge. I tend to have fairly oily skin but putting mineral veil over it seems to do the trick. I will definitely buy it again!
Nothing like it!
This is my first time using Bareskin, but not the last. In past years I have used Original and then Ready, both of which I loved. When Bareskin came out I had to try it. What an amazing foundation! It is so simple to apply and covers beautifully. I find that four drops gives me plenty of coverage. It stays on all day and even seems to look better as the day goes on. It's important to get some help finding the best color for you. I had been using medium beige, but in Bearskin, I use Bare Latte 11. The only really minor things I would change are measuring out the drops, especially at first and being able to see how much is left so that I can buy more. Neither of these issues would stop me from continuing to use this fantastic product. I am 80 years old. It's never too late to try something new!
LOVE THIS FOUNDATION
This foundation is AMAZING!!! I have SUPER sensitive skin and am able to use this! My skin looks and feels so amazing now. Used to get lots of breakouts and now hardly get any! I actually was told one day that I had amazing skin! Highly recommend this! Do go in and get shade matched---its tricky to get the right shade!
I want to start this off by first saying that I have been a loyal Bare Minerals customer for years and I am always excited when a new product is released and cannot wait to try it. When I heard about Bare Skin (through a Bare Minerals employee who I am friends with) she couldn't say enough good things about it. I went to every Sephora to try to get it when it was released but they didn't have it yet. I also spent countless hours walking around the city looking for a boutique but apparently they are all closed? I was in Miami for work and went to Ulta where they had it and I was so excited! I used it the next day and it seemed to make my skin look flawless, I really liked how it felt on my skin and how it looked so smooth. I wore it for about 2 weeks and then I began to notice that it was barely lasting an hour before it starting leaving streaks all over my face. It was so blotchy one day that my boyfriend actually pointed it out to me, I was SO embarrassed! This product is great if you're indoors all day but as soon as you step outside in the heat, it runs right off of your face (and yes I had primer on). I will be returning, definitely not worth $60 (with the "special" brush).
I purchased this in shade Bare Natural 07, and I absolutely love it!! I was so hesitant to try a liquid foundation, I hate the heavy feeling and ‘cakie’ look it seems to give woman. To be honest the only reason I did even try it was because of the free sample they sent me with a previous purchase. I put a couple of drops on the recommended brush and put it on using a circular motion and kept blending until it was totally gone from the brush. I love the feel, its light weight and I use half as much as the powder foundation with the same amount of coverage. I highly recommend!!
Same As Pressed Powder Foundation
The hardest thing for me to have given up switching from drug store liquid to powder was how well the liquid stayed on. Powder is better for my skin, but because my skin is oily it's been a "live with" factor of how easily it wipes off since my switch.
I was hoping I would get some of that stay power back switching to this liquid from the pressed power foundation (which had better coverage than the loose), but several weeks in, there's no difference. It easily wipes/transfers after several hours of wear.
This liquid covers differently in the sense that if you have dry skin, those patches don' necessarily stand out so much as they do when applying the powder since you are buffing a liquid into that skin. However, even with use of the primer (which has made no difference, ever) I still have to be very careful about touching my face - like an itch, or napkin use during a meal - at the end of the day in the event I end wiping my foundation off. By the end of the day I can tell that I lo longer have foundation on around my mouth.
My skin has had very few breakouts since switching from drug store liquids and I've been given lots of compliments about my skin, but the one thing they could improve with this liquid is the longevity of wear.
So impressed and pleased with BareMinerals
I love this foundations. Its amazing but what I'm so impressed with is BareEscentuals customer service. I originally ordered BareLinen but when I received it the color was a bit too lite. I called Customer Service and they told me to keep the product I have and they would send me my correct shade for no additional cost. I'm not sure about anyone else but that has never happened to me while making an exchange. I've received product at no charge if there is a defect or something of that nature but never because it was the wrong color, etc. I will continue to purchase from BareMinerals not only because of the amazing products but also because of the outstanding customer service!!
Not Only Met, But Exceeded Expectations!
I really like this makeup, a lot!! I’m 33, with sensitive skin, and a busy mom of two boys-this makeup is decently priced, looks nearly flawless, is easy to apply, and makes me feel good about myself (even on those not so good skin days). I have to admit after using the same makeup for the past few years I was hesitant to change, but am so glad that I did. I think that what is important to remember is that makeup in general can be subjective and tends to work slightly different for each person (it can also take time to get used to applying a new makeup). I am a big fan of foundation and this foundation does not disappoint, it is fantastic (really)! I prefer medium-full coverage and by adjusting the amount of drops I use I can get the exact coverage I want. I would say one thing I’ve learned is to start with less and build as I go versus applying to much to begin with (it’s harder to apply then). I strongly suggest reviewing the Shade Finder as that helped me to find a shade that matches so well (even better than my last foundation), I use Bare Linen. I usually use anywhere from 8-12 drops depending on the day, but again that is because I prefer full coverage and do have some splotchy areas that I like to cover well. I also bought the brush (Perfecting Face Brush) which after using for a couple weeks now I think works better than my old foundation brush, it covers more evenly and glides on so you can buff it in (using a circular motion). After applying my foundation I put on the Mineral Veil over it and it looks like I’m wearing little makeup, yet it evens out my skin, has virtually no smell, great texture, and also doesn’t feel like I’m wearing much makeup. It also lasts well all day (10-14 hours, with maybe a slight touchup). This product is exactly what it is advertised as and then some! I highly recommend it and am so thankful to have found it!
Enhances dry skin
When I tried this product at a BareMinerals boutique, it looked fine even though it made my dry skin quite apparent. I thought if I tried tons of moisturizer and primer it would do the trick. It did not. It accentuates every tiny little patch of dry skin on your face.
Pros: very lightweight, decent coverage
Cons: don't use if you have dry skin
Great foundation alternative
I really like this product. I didn't invest in the brush though. I wanted to see if I liked it first, then I read the reviews and it seems the brush is not so great. I had good results with just putting a couple drops on the back of my hand and then using my little buki brush to pick it up and buff on my face. I'm not sure if this is a all in one foundation or do you follow with Mineral Veil. Either way seems to look good for me. My skin is neither oily or dry so that is no problem.
