Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner - null
Loved the old liner and always had compliments! Now the navy is dull and can't get that smooth creamy line like before. I am a die hard BE user and for the first time in years, having to look elsewhere for a liner like BE used to have! I miss Noon, seriously!
I really love how easy it is to apply and it is perfect for everyday. It is soft and smudges well, so it allows for a more subtle look, which is what I always go for. It does take a few passovers to bring the color out, but that gives me control over how dark I want my line. I have it in many colors, but my favorite is the copper color. It's a very pretty shade with just a bit of sparkle. All the other colors are great too, though!
I received a Round the Clock sample in the mail awhile back and had been using it religiously. I would get tons of compliments, even from strangers, on how black it stayed on my tear line and how long it lasted. Naturally, I was disappointed to see it that it has appeared to be discontinued. I order the Lasting Line thinking it would be similar and received it in the mail yesterday. Tried it out this morning and am so disappointed. I just double checked the color to make sure I ordered it correctly because it comes out more grey than black, and doesn't stick to my inner eye. The only redeeming feature is the "smudge brush" at the end. I am a loyal Bare Escentuals user and will now be forced to shop for eyeliner somewhere else. I would NOT recommend this to a friend.
Bring back Round the Clock formula!
I love the old formula eyeliner Round the Clock, which for my super sensitive eyes, didn't give me a headache or itchy eyes. This formula however burns my eyes all day and gave me terrible headache! Couldn't wait to wash it off. I tried different colors, exchanged them thinking maybe I got a bad one, but nope. Very disappointed! Please make an eyeliner safe for us sensitive girls!
This is the best eyeliner I've ever used. I've always had problems with eyeliner printing and rubbing off or smudging but this stays put - even through a gym workout!
Much better than Round the Clock
I'm really surprised at the negative reviews, but I guess you're either an LL person or an RTC person. I was disappointed when B&B was discontinued and had no choice but to use RTC. I had more trouble with that product, not just with sharpening it (and I even put it in the fridge), but it was just TOO easy to put on. I had no control over it because it glided so easily that I ended up smearing it. And I ended up with raccoon eyes, even using the eyelid primer. I have no problems with the LL, and even tho' I wish they'd still kept the B&B, the LL is a good replacement. It goes on very easily for me. Maybe it was a bad batch for people having trouble putting it on. Anyway, even unsharpened, the liner works for me because I always smudge the line. I like that I can sharpen it if I need a really thin line. I don't have any problems with the LL fading or smearing, but I should mention that I always use the eyelid primer. Both liner and shadow last all day and beyond with the primer as a base. All I can say is that I'm very happy with the LL.
I have worn BE for years and been very satisfied. I recently purchased the charcoal Lasting Line eyeliner, and it is neither lasting, nor can I get any kind of line. The product is so hard that it hurts my eyelids when I try to line my eyes. It takes so much tugging and I can't get a decent line, even when it's sharpened. Much too hard! And, sadly, it smears. I won't be buying it again or recommending it to others.
Not the same as it used to be!
This is my second eyeliner purchased after I ran out of my first one. I am going to have to find a different brand altogether because this one BARELY goes on my eyes/waterline. How disappointing! I'm not sure if BE changed their formula for eyeliner, but it's not what it was in the past.
I got this product for Christmas in the Macy's package where there was a variety of BE products and I have always had a love for eyeliner. As an asian, it's hard to find good makeup looks because we hardly have a crease (unless you're Michelle Phan and make your own but who has time for that?). But, with eyeliner, it's the best way to make an eye-opening look. Ive tried every kind of eyeliner-- pencil, crayon, gel, liquid, and marker. My favorite BY FAR was the marker-type applicator because it is so easy to apply, but I have ran out and I couldn't find it ANYWHERE. So, I decided to try this one out and IT WAS AMAZING. All of my gel, crayon, and pencil eyeliners always transferred to my lower lash line (props to asian eyes), but this one never does it! I always test throughout the day just to make sure nothing has transferred, and it's never there. So GO BE!!
All-Time Favorite!! Precise & Perfect!!
I too am surprised by the negative reviews. This liner is spectacular! I have been on a mission to find the perfect liner that is easy to use and this is it! I am always in a rush and don't have time to search for a pencil-sharpener and with this I don't have to search. It is there if I need it, but half the time I don't even need it. The automatic nature of the pencil allows me to elevate it where I need it. It is precise. I can put it right along my lashes and even in-between my lashes w/ ease. I love the smudger on the end too...Easy, Easy, Easy...looks great all day! I have all the colors from the sets. LOVE!
My favorite eye liner
Wow, I'm really surprised at all the other bad reviews. I LOVE this product. Because it has a sharpener, I took it on my two week honeymoon and didn't even end up needing to use the sharpener (I don't do a very fine line). The black stays on all day, doesn't smudge, doesn't give me raccoon eyes. I bought the black again once it ran out and bought it in the dark brown as well. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!
Don't waste your money!!!
In the past they HAD an awesome 24 hour eyeliner that would glide on easly and stayed on forever. I never had "Racoon eyes" by the end of the day. I was addicted to it.
Now I can't find them anywhere anymore except for this new garbage. It won't even glid onto my inner or outer eyelid!!
I agree with you all, it's very disappointing! :(
Not for me... :(
I am a FAB member and was sent a sample pencil for free a while back. (Thank you!) :) I love BE products but have had problems finding an eye liner that stays in place, and hoped this would be the solution. Unfortunately this one did not stay on nearly as well as the previous eye liner pencil BE had available. :(
My one and only BE disappointment
I have used almost exclusively Bare Minerals for probably 20 years or close to it. In my entire life I have never been able to wear eyeliner because I have deep set eyes and it always ends up on upper eye. Then you came out with Around the Clock and I was told it WILL stay on. In disbelief, I tried it and it was fantastic! Never before was I able to wear eyeliner for the whole day until I removed it at night but I finally could and was thrilled. Then you discontinued it. By the reviews I can see many many of us were more than disappointed.
I saw people mentioned it being soft or hard to sharpen but I keep mine in the fridge and it was the perfect solution. LL comes off in a very short time and ends up on my upper eyelid. I'm not sure what the benefit was for you to discontinue ATC but I can't imagine what would be so difficult about having an option for us. Please please bring ATC (midnight) back. Love BE except for this product.
I like the twist up, but the don't last long enough.
I love BE & have been using their makeup & skincare for 10+ years. I loved the Around the Clock pencils. Some of the colors were softer than others, so I had to learn how to apply them more carefully, but they lasted ALL DAY.
I was hoping this was a twist up version of the Around the Clock pencils, but they do not last nearly as long. I still use them as they are serviceable, and I've used up most of my Around the Clock stock. But, I WISH the pencils were still available. It would be great if BE would bring back the Around the Clock pencils as an alternative.
I was a loyal user of the Weather Everything Drops (I am rationing the partial bottle I have left for special occasions), and loved that it stayed on through rain, tears, showers, and snow. This new eyeliner is a distant second to the drops. The product is easy to apply and goes on smoothly with a nice crisp line (for those who want the liquid look). The initial look is perfect, however, it does not last. My eyes are smudged half way through the day and the lines are faded by the end of the day. Any tears, rain, etc. ruin the look. I still have high hopes that BM will bring back a liquid liner with the staying power that the Weather Everything drops had!!
Non-Lasting Eyeliner - Please Bring Back Round-The-Clock!!
I used the "Round the Clock" liners for several years and loved them. They were the only true "long-lasting" liner pencils I ever found at any price point. Now that they apparently are discontinued I assumed this product would be as good or better.....WRONG!!
I have used Bare Minerals brand for at least 10 years - foundations, make up, brushes - and love the quality as well as the look, feel, and positive effects on my skin. But, these pencils were a big disappointment and a total waste of money. Sad to say that I purchased them at Sephora, so I doubt I can return for a refund or exchange.
The two I purchased were the orchid and the charcoal shades and they will be thrown out. I tried them on bare skin with the same sorry result - thinking that maybe my moisturizer had caused the problem. I have tried the powder and liquid eyeliners as well, but the shape of my eyes plus the fine, crepey texture of my lids just doesn't work with them compared to the pencils.
To the Product Team at Bare Minerals: PLEASE BRING BACK THE ROUND-THE-CLOCK EYELINERS!!!
I absolutely, one-hundred percent, with all my heart LOVE BE. I absolutely, one-hundred percent, with all my heart LOATHE this eyeliner. The customer service has been great though. First one I received was broken and they replaced it ASAP. I can't make the horrid sharpener on the end work (maybe I'm just ignorant?) and, once it does finally sharpen, I've wasted the vast majority of the product. Application is TERRIBLE. It looks like my two year old son has done my makeup... and I've successfully used every other eyeliner I've tried IN THE CAR (powders, pens, pencils, liquids, gels, etc.); not this one. I can't make it look like I want even with perfect lighting and a great setup. This one is a BE fail; sorry, not sorry. I love you all so much and my eyes were the only reason I ever tried BE over 10 years ago - they're very sensitive and I tend to look as though I've used illicit substances if I use any other products. I don't know what to do now... I haven't had unlined eyes in several years. PLEASE FIX THIS!!! Side-note: I will forever be exclusively BE... I'm just a bit lost ATM. I don't daily rock the completely smokey look and I feel forced.
This eyeliner works good if you like to line under the bottom lashes, but it does not stay on the eye above the bottom lashes as well as the "around the clock" eyeliner.
Not quite what I expected
I was looking at this product for awhile, trying to decide if I should buy it if not. Overall, I like the eye liner, but it isn't quite perfect.
The application is very smooth, but I have to make multiple lines to get the boldness I am looking for. Even then, it doesn't last 12 hours, which I want. The blender isn't necessary because the pencil is so soft. Also, when I chose orchid, I thought it would actually be purple. Not so. It's more of a chestnut-plum. I like wearing brown eyeshadow with this eyeliner (better than purple shades). I'm making it work, even if it falls short of what I expected.
Best of both worlds!
I have been a fan of the loose liner shadows for a long time, but occasionally used the Big & Bright pencils. They had nice play time (enough time to smudge before they set), but didn't seem to last as long as I would like. Then I received some Round the Clock pencils with kits - great, long-lasting wear, but you'd better hope you put them on where you want them the first time, because there is no time to adjust or smudge or anything before it's locked in for the day. And sharpening them was a nightmare! I even tried sticking them in the freezer in an effort to firm them up for sharpening, but it didn't help. These Lasting Line pencils seem to be a great balance between the long wear of the RTCs and the smudge-time and sharpening ease of the B&Bs. I find that they go on easily and show up just fine (I have the black and navy), and they last all day (I do use the BE shadow primer). I find myself gravitating to these now even more than the loose liner shadows. I will be adding some other shades to my stash.
not nearly as nice as Round The Clock
I found that this liner drags across my powder shadow ... you have to press too hard and it hardly shows (endless orchid). No need for that silly smudging thing on the end... it already LOOKS smudged! For those who had trouble sharpening the round the clock... I had to go back and purchase one of the sharpeners... once I did I had no problem. and I had both the brown and the plum. I won't buy another one of these.
Another Great Powder Lost
Oh no! Yet another wonderful powder product has bitten the dust only to be replaced by a less effective pencil. The powder eyeliner was great but the eyeliner pencil leaves much to be desired. Powder is subtle but long lasting while the pencil is barely noticeable and doesn't last. Bring back the powder and don't mess with proven success!
Thank you, Bare Minerals, for listening to us!
As a lover of the Big and Brights, I was very upset when I found out they had been discontinued. I was lucky to live an hour from an outlet and stocked up and, thankfully, still have some!!! I tried the Round the Clocks and HATED them. Because of medications for an illness, I don't have a steady hand and the Round the Clocks are so unforgiving... And they aren't meant to smudge... I have some in my vanity with the plastic still on them that I can't give away. I don't personally know anyone who likes them. When I received this black Lasting Line in the mail to try, I stared at it on my vanity for a week or so. It is hard to part from the Big and Brights that I love. But I have three Lasting Lines now and purposely waited a few months to give it an honest review. I can say I do still prefer the Big and Brights, but I feel that this eye liner is more of an in between (very close to the B&B) the B&B and the RTCs. These seem to be softer and creamier than the B&B, but still has the smudger and comes with the sharpener built in. These smudgers are softer and shaped differently, having the point makes them easier to use. I have the Absolute Black, Always Charcoal and Lasting Brown. I, now, won't cry when my B&Bs run out and change to another brand for eyeliner because I seriously was going to before when I used and only had the option of the Round The Clocks. Those are some of the poorest reviewed products on the site and I am SOOO happy Bare Minerals listened to us. Please, in the future, if it isn't broken, don't fix it!!! If you want to introduce a product and try new things, please don't discontinue a popular and highly rated product until you KNOW you have come up with something better because WE have told you it is better. And why must you only offer one type of eyeliner and several types of mascara? Why can't we have the B&B AND the Lasting Lines???
Best eyeliner ever!
I simply don't understand the few reviewers that say the color does not show up. One quick swipe across the eyelid and my eyeliner is absolutely opaque and does not need any going over at all. Plus it's on until I remove it with BE eye makeup remover. Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner glides on smoothly for a dark, non-smear, tight or bold line.
I purchased the Orchid color and am getting the same issues with the color not being at all dark enough to actually wear. Had to go back to my old "go to" eye liner so I could go to work. Very disappointed in this product.
last try for me
I had good results with the Round the Clock eyeliner and was sad to find it discontinued. This product does not glide on well and so I have to push a lot to apply. I was surprised as this is the only product that I ever had problems with from BE.
With my old eyeliner, I was really having to press so hard to get any color, and it took forever to build the look I wanted. This liner is completely the opposite! It is super smooth and goes on really, really easily. This liner lasted over twelve hours with no fading (I used bare minerals eyelid primer). I bought the nonstop navy color, and will say that it is probably a bit darker than I was thinking it would be, but I wasn't bothered by that. Also, it seems that quite a bit of liner gets used when applying, but maybe that's just because I haven't adjusted to pressing less hard yet. I would recommend this to others struggling with their current liner and looking for a smooth, long-lasting liner.
I have always used Clinique's eye liner. It was the only part of my makeup routine that wasn't BE. I bought the Bare Minerals Birthday Kit at Ulta which included the Absolute Black Lasting Line Eyeliner. I can finely say that every piece of make up in my bag is Bare Minerals. This eyeliner goes on smoothly and stays on all day. I constantly rub my eyes and have not had any issues with the eyeliner smudging or disappearing through the day. I also love the built-in sharpener!
After being very disappointed with the Round the Clock eyeliner I am so happy that Bare Minerals listened to their customers and came up with this eyeliner. I love that it is twistable again and that it has the built in sharpener. All of the mess and of the Round the Clock is gone! It's easy to apply, stays put and comes off easily with make up remover. It is everything I want in an eyeliner. Thank you!!
