Frame & Define: Brow Styler - null
Agreed. I too loved the powder, so much so that I've been searching for the same color in an eye shadow to work as my Ash brow powder. Tried a few, but really its not the same.
I LOVE this product
This eyebrow pencil is easy to apply and lasts all day. I've tried many other brands and this is my all-time favorite. It looks very natural when you use the spiral brush after applying the pencil.
Could have been a "5"
Similar to other reviews, I LOVE how this pencil works on my brows but am super DISAPPOINTED in how quickly the product depletes. The brow powder lasted me a long time and this pencil lasted a fraction of the time. If this product could last even somewhat close to as long as the powder, I'd give it a "5" rating because I do love the way it works for my brows. Fortunately, I do still have some of the brow powder left but am not sure what I will do when I run out of that. I can't justify the cost of buying a new pencil every 2-3 weeks (literally, that's how long it lasted me).
This product works
I am shocked at how many bad reviews their are on this pencil, maybe it's because BM discontinued the powder and left many customers unsatisfied and having to switch to a new unfamiliar product that can be a little tricky.
I have medium brown eyebrows, and I use the universal light brow pencil. This product works wonders! not only does it fill in my brows for a more fuller effect but the brush on the end of the pencil really gives it that natural look.
How I use it...
1. Take the end of the pencil (this would be the brush part) and brush your eyebrow hairs up. You will be able to see where you need to fill in, take the pencil and roll it up just a little bit (if you roll it up to high it could break). Then go in with LIGHT strokes up, you don't have to fill in every bare gap in your brow because, after you've filled in most of the bottom portion your going to use the brush end again and brush up.
2. You can do the same step with brushing your hairs down as well if you feel like it, I normally don't because I don't like my brows looking to overdone. Now i just brush my hairs out in my natural shape and fill in lightly over the parts that need it, and lastly use the brush again and brush it all out.
tip with the brush...this is going to be the part that really gives your eyebrow the full natural look, it spreads the makeup out better please use the brush !
end result...natural, beautiful brows.!
Hope this helps xoxo =)
Almost didn't buy it because of the reviews
I almost didn't buy the universal light eyebrow styler because of the reviews, but I am glad I did anyways. I have been using the bare minerals eyebrow powder for over a year and liked it, very natural. But I like the pencil better, it is natural looking and I have more control over the shape of my eyebrow. I can get a nice sharp edge at the end of the brow. And it does not make your eyebrows look reddish. Glad I bought it.
Could be 5 stars but...
I originally was using the brow powder like most BE customers and was pretty happy with it. I never used the gel to water proof it- because being someone with hardly any brows, I really didn't want to spend all that extra money on a gel and add ONE MORE step to my already tedious process of getting ready in the morning.
The powder lasted me nearly two years before I stopped using it (I STILL have it, amazing!) But I noticed like most brow fill ins, the powder would wipe off or fade easily.
The pencil however- wow. Gives me the most natural, easy to sketch in and play with finished brow I've ever had. Using the end of the brush along the brow is fantastic to smooth out the product and fool everyone into thinking my brows are all my own.
BUT!!!!!! God forbid you forget to twist it closed and it touches something- snaps off a tiny bit- you've wasted a weeks worth of eye brows- literally! For $15, there isn't enough product in this pencil tube.
I say bring back the powder, continue the pencil, but make give your loyal customers more bang for their buck with the brow styler!

Sad, disappointing but not a total waste
I was sad to hear that the powder was discontinued. I loved the powder. I have to say the pencil is not terrible but it goes a lots faster than the powder did. The pencil breaks easily so you have to be careful when using it to not twist it up too much. I would love to use the powder and the pencil together to define and then fill. Please bring it back!
Really miss the brow powder
When BE came out with the new brow pencils I had some brow powder left and it never occurred to me that they would get rid of the brow powder. So, very happy with my powder, I just ignored the new product and kept using the one I loved. Had I known that the brow powder would be removed from all the boutiques I would have run in and stocked up! The pencil streaks and is gloopy (that's not a real word but I don't know how else to describe it). It doesn't look right. The powder was the PERFECT shade for my coloring. It was honestly one of those products that I never thought about or even worried when I got low, I just picked up another and continued about my day. I miss it, I am sad that BE would discontinue a product people have relied on for years. I understand wanting to expand the line and that there were probably many customers asking for a pencil, but why does it have to be one or the other? Please consider bringing back the powder.
No brow powder?
Very disappointed to find that the brow powder has been discontinued. The brow powder was one of the best around. Brow pencils don't come close. I was also disappointed that my favorite eye liner pencil has been discontinued. I'm reading a lot of reviews about this subject and hope the company goes back to the drawing board and brings back the products we love!
What a disappointment!
I agree with a fellow reviewer about the Brow Powder that after years of searching I too was beyond happy to finally find a something that makes my brow look their most natural. It colored and filled to perfection. I am disappointed with the brow pencil. Please, please consider bringing back the brow powder.
