Q & A

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Works great, but product fell apart after a couple months of use To date, this is my favorite brightening product, and I've tried a lot. I like the consistency, it feels super light on, blends perfectly with my skin tone, and doesn't cake or settle into any fine lines. As others have said, if you're looking for something with more coverage, this isn't it; I'd check out actual concealers. But, if you're looking to brighten up some light to moderate dark under eye circles and give a pop of brightness to other areas of the face, then this product is perfect. The one major drawback to this product, however, is that it's packaged in such a way that even being very careful (having read other reviews warning of this beforehand), I still ended up unable to salvage/use the last 1/4 of it, which irritates me to no end. The product is basically just as pictured...long, thin, tube-shaped. What you can't tell from the picture, however, is how delicate it is. I knew ftom the outset that it was prone to the end just breaking off, if not careful. Thus, I'd twist out just a tiny bit and use a brush to apply, so I was essentially putting no pressure on the product itself at all. Nonetheless, when I had about a quarter tube left, I twisted it out one morning to find it had somehow broken off in the tube (don't carry around, just sits on my counter, so no idea what happened). It was still usable for a bit after that, but then started to dry out and kind of just crumble, soon becoming a dried out, smooshed mess inside the tube, so had to toss it. Disappointed with that. :-( I next tried the Stroke of Light eye brightner, thinking that since it's a liquid, I wouldn't have the issues I did with the Well Rested eye primer, but didn't like it at all. I don't think it really brightens in the least, and it also doesn't blend as well for me. I can tell where I've applied it no matter what I try to blend it in, and that's a no go for me. So back to the Well Rested I go.... 03/27/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well Rested Eye Primer...So Good You Can Wear It Alone I actually use this in place of the concealer I was purchasing. You get a lot more of the product than with the Correcting Concealer & it is easier to apply. I received it in one of the Surprise Grab Bags and I absolutely love it. Sometimes I only use the eye primer and apply my mascara and go; or I wear it under my complexion rescue for a more finished look. I love the way my eyes look when I am on TV and in pictures! The Well Rested CC Eye Primer is my 1st choice when it comes to making my eyes look rested and youthful! 03/05/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great with brush!! This is the perfect under eye concealer despite all the bad reviews stating it breaks off and is cakey.... it's meant to be used with a brush!!! Not rubbed directly on your skin... If you use a small concealer brush and don't twist it up high you can gently brush the product and then apply it under your eyes- it makes the perfect lightweight coverage. Not greasy so it doesn't melt throughout the day and when used on your eyelids it holds eye shadow and eyeliner in place. I love it and highly recommend it!!! My only complaint is the price... 12/27/2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good product, preventive packaging I bought this on a whim because I'm trying to find a replacement for a questionable-quality tinted under eye roller that I've used for years. I love the product, but it's almost impossible to use unless you store it in a refrigerator. I keep it at a normal room temp, and it just keeps breaking off. I won't buy it again for this reason, but I'd love to see it formulated better or with new packaging so it doesn't break off. As far as the product itself, I use it under concealer for some added coverage and staying power on my oily skin. I like it for that, but it just isn't a standout in the market, so I'll probably move on and try what the next brand has to offer in this department. 11/10/2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by great with some added changes. I am 49 yrs have been using this product for over a year. People are correct in saying it breaks up. I found that it was to stiff for the delicate skin under my eyes.. so I broke off chunks and blended it with my eye cream. Keep in a sealed jar. If start to dry out add more cream. It works great. I seal it with well rested powder. So I'm getting double the benefits by adding my eye cream, and making it smoother more blendable. Covers better 10/12/2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Doesn't measure up I'm usually impressed by Bare Minerals products, which is why I was tempted to try this despite some negative reviews. I'm sad to say, now I agree with them. I was surprised at how thin the coverage was - it doesn't cover the thin skin around my eyes and you can still see my veins/blood vessels clearly. It's almost like a very sheer primer - definitely NOT a CC. And then it falls into creases under my eyes as the day goes on, which I was horrified to find makes it look like I have wrinkly eyes. I won't be buying this again and would not recommend it. 07/31/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best product ever! I'm 47 with hereditary bags under my eyes. I have tried so many products to reduce puffiness and cover the dark circles with no luck until this magic product. The first time I used it the color correction was perfect (I'm neutral tone medium) and it felt great. Today I noticed a significant reduction in eye puffiness, so much so that I took my mirror outside to double check. I've been using it for about a week. I'm amazed. I will always have this product in hand. 06/23/2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Use brush to apply This works fine, but I do feel like it accentuates my fine lines a little bit. I recommend applying it with a brush, since other users have complained that it is sticky and breaks. 06/18/2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by It Breaks... I like almost all of the bare minerals products that i have used, including this one, but....it breaks every tube that I buy. When it gets near the end of the stick, as careful as I am, don't wind it up very far and use my finger and dab it, it still breaks. 05/25/2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing I was very excited to use this under my eyes to help cover any darkness or uneven skin. I'm 28 years old and have a few fine lines under my eyes. When using this, the fine lines are exaggerated and look deeper. The product itself goes on smooth, but becomes quite sticky if it sits for very long, which makes it difficult to blend in. Also, one day while I was putting it on, the tip of the product broke completely off!!!! It's a chunk about the size of what is shown in the picture. So now I have the already small amount of product broken. The small piece that broke off, I've been using with my hands because I don't want to waste any of it since it's not cheap. But then every time I use it, I remember why I don't often use it. :( Very very disappointing as I LOVE my ready foundation and mineral veil and all of my other face products from Bare Minerals. 05/22/2015

Answer:
I think it does. It goes on with a cooling effect which soothes puffiness and it helps camouflage it. On one of the demo videos, a BE makeup artist uses it under the BE correcting concealer. My friend has a LOT of puffiness and when she borrowed it from me, she noticed a difference right away.

Answer:
The Well-Rested CC Eye Primer DOES have a pleasant cooling sensation but for super-puffy eyes, you may need to deflate them by other means before employing the help of the primer. When I wake up with big under-eye bags, I throw a couple of spoons in the freezer for a minute or two and then use the back of the spoons on my eye area to deflate. (Make sure the spoons are clean of course!)

Answer:
Yes, it helps tremendously! I have tried many products and this is the 1st one that gives me the natural look I want. It does not leave creases or look cakey or thick. I sometimes use it alone under my eyes or in combination with the complexion rescue. I really love this product!

Answer:
I use this product to cover my dark circles and it works wonders. I don't even use the concealer with it. However, if your skin is darker, I'm sure that putting the powder concealers over it would work, or just using your foundation.

Answer:
CC means Color Correcting which this product definitely does. I use it under my eyes and on my lids, blending with my finger. It balances my purplish under eyes and brightens the whole eye area. I usually apply this before my foundation (Bareskin). After applying foundation, I apply Stroke of Light in a little triangle on my cheek below my eyes to highlight and brighten the area further but I think the Well-Rested CC Eye Primer is more than adequate without any other color-correcting concealers.
