Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
Great as an eye shadow primer
I received this as part as kit and found that it settled in my wrinkles. I am 38 with fine lines beginning to form around my eyes and mouth. While it did not work as a concealer for me, it works great as an eye shadow primer. I apply my foundation, then I sweep this product over my eyelid form lash to brow. It gives me a great neutral base and helps my eye shadow stay put.
Good coverage, awful choice of colors
This concealer works well to cover blemishes, but the lightest color ("Bisque") is a joke. Like many of the other reviewers on here, I actually have light skin, and this concealer is several shades darker than both my skin and the matte foundations the bisque is paired with in the makeup kits. Sure, it looks fine in artificial light, but as soon as I step outside into natural sunlight, it's obvious that this concealer makes my face a weird, orange-brown, blotchy mess. I've had to go back to using other concealers that do have light color options because this one is so drastically mismatched.
Bare Escentuals--please stop ignoring your many customer reviews about this issue!
I've recently gotten into bareMinerals, I've had it a week and I'm all in. I've bought a lot and I'm just waiting on it to come in. ANYWAY, I didn't know how to apply most of it. So I called customer service tonight and my awesome helper helped me apply my makeup. Holy smokes. Bisque, used with the Perfecting Face Brush, gives me the most amazing coverage. I could use this as my foundation to be honest. I have redness and blackheads and my whole face is just perfect thanks to Bisque. My absolute favorite product!!!
This covers well. I switched from this concealer to the BE cream concealer when my skin was extra dry. Now that my skin has evened out, I alternate. Both offer great coverage for dark undereye circles.
I have redness on my cheeks and nose that is passable- but the chin area is SO EMBARRASSING! This is the first concealer that actually conceals the redness that really bugs me to the point of insecurity(it looks like a red soul patch! YIKES). I put it over my liquid or bare minerals powder foundation with my bare minerals brush and there isn't a TRACE of redness. Thank you
LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!
I ACTUALLY USE THIS UNDER MY FOUNDATION BECAUSE I FEEL I NEED A LITTLE MORE COVERAGE THAN FOUNDATION ALONE. WHEN I AM APPLYING BOTH THE BISQUE AND FOUNDATION, I USE THE LONG HANDLED KABUKI BRUSH WHICH GIVES ME , IN MY OPINION, THE BEST COVERAGE BECAUSE OF THE DENSITY OF THE BRISTLES.
I started using this approximately 1 year ago after I had been on chemo for four months I was not feeling very good about myself and decided to get a makeover at a department store. this was the best thing I could of done for myself. I had always used liquid foundation and basically didn't know any better. WOW what a surprise I had, I couldn't believe what a difference this product is from what I had used for forty plus years. everyone to this day says that my skin looks so much better than it use to. I am fifty eight years young and when people find out my age they are floored. This is the best product on the market as far as I am concerned.
I Love This Concealer
This concealer is the best one I have ever used. I purchased the color bisque and just love it! The coverage is excellent and goes on so nice. It doesn't look heavy or made-up and makes application for the foundation just right. I think I have found a winner!
I really like this concealer for dark areas and for blemishes or acne scars. It is too dry for under eyes and doesn't conceal under eyes enough for me. I do use it to set a more creamy concealer under my eyes. It does not completely cover dark spots, but greatly reduces the look of them. It hides redness around the nose well. This is the one Bare Minerals product I would for sure purchase again.
Best I have ever had, can't go without it
I had bad acne and when I saw Bare Mineral commercial and seen there reviews I knew then I wanted to try it. But I was worried about my acne/scars showing because I suffered badly. I had already spent so much money in Mary Kay, Cover Girl, Sheer Cover etc. So when I called and talked to a representative she was incredibly nice an helpful. She wanted me to describe my skin to her. Well when I told her that I suffer with acne an acne scars she automatically said " you need the concealer "...so I added that on to my cart . I absolutely LOVE it , you cannot tell at all that I have scars or acne. I am very satisfied an so thankful. Love the makeup!!!!
I have a problem with purple areas under my eyes and usually have trouble covering this area. I tried this product, suggested by a sales associate in the store where I shop, and I am very happy with this product. It totally covers my problem areas. I highly recommend this concealer if you are having trouble with coverage also.
I am new to Bare Minerals and I have just gotten my starter kit. I have been reading the reviews about how the color of the lightest concealer has changed without warning; it is now too dark for light skin. This concerns me because I wanted to reorder it. The other thing is that the concealer in my kit has one name but on the bill it has another. I don't know what I have and wouldn't know what to reorder. maybe one of them is the new darker color the other reviews were talking about. On the concealer it is labeled- Mineral Beige N20, matt SPF 15, foundation, (not concealer). On the bill it is called- S SPF 20 bisque, (01) V2. Is it SPF 15 or 20? Is it Mineral Beige or Bisque? Is it a foundation or a concealer? I don't care what it is called, but I do care about getting the same product IF I reorder.
Better than the cream concealer!
Definitely like the powder form better. Doesn't cake and looks light. I wasn't even aware that concealer could be in powder form until I found this product.
Formula Color Changed Without Warning, Now The Lightest Shade is Too Dark
I've been using Bisque for years. Now the color is different. I even got a replacement because I was convinced that it must have been labeled wrong. It wasn't. The second container was too dark also. I use Fairly Light foundation and the Bisque (the lightest color available in a concealer) is now too dark. It actually GIVES me dark circles under my eyes. It's darker than my foundation! So sad! Because there is no lighter option. I could try going for the very lightest foundation shade and use it as a concealer. I have the Well-Rested for eyes but it is very yellow and not a good choice for touch-ups all over the face. Photo shows my foundation color on the left, and the two samples of Bisque next to it.
WE NEED FAIR BISQUE! We are FAIR not light skinned!
Why is it that darker skin tones have multiple choices for bisque, but regular bisque, which is LIGHT is supposed to be good enough for fair skin tones‽ if I use it alone I have dark splotches all over my face because it is 2 shades darker than my skin tone. I have to buy a light cream or off white eyeshadow and make my own fair bisque which is costly and never consistent. I have used be since 2003 and have been BEGGING since 2005 for a fair version of bisque. With the plethora of shade options they've added you'd think Fair Bisque would've been one of them but no! PLEASE I know I'm not alone here and that they're are many others with Snow White skin needing thus product last year. Please give us the fair bisque we've been very patiently waiting for. Wow, Fair isn't even an option for my skin tone in the drop down menu of this form!
I've been using this since I was a freshman in high school! It's truly timeless and works great! I've only had one problem with this product and that's when the temperature are very high, it will melt right off, but even then it doesn't clog my pores! Great product overall, I recommend this to many of my friends and family!
No "fair" or even "light" available now
I last used this several years ago and the lightest shade sold ( sadly, I don't recall the name ) was perfect for me. While I have very dark red-brown hair I have the palest skin, porcelain is the term I usually hear, and not a freckle in sight. When returning here to purchase the concealer I was troubled by both the name, "Bisque" and the photo. It seemed *so* dark, but as it was the only color recommended I decided it was my faulty memory and/or my faulty screen. Not the case; I ordered 3 jars and they will be on the way back. I did try it, but even the lightest application had me looking like an orange-ish clown. With a dirty face. And too much make-up :( I'm once again on the hunt for a different brand with a shade for truly pale people. LOREAL made one I like called True Match Naturale, in 2 light shades, but I can no longer find theirs, either. I've always used just a bit of concealer and a light brushing of Mineral Veil which worked wonderfully, even at my age (64), so perhaps before I return all 3 jars I'll try mixing something and see if I can make this usable.
Pretty good concealer
This concealer goes a long way, covers well, feels silky and is non-irritating. I use the "Bisque" shade and am a "Medium" on my foundation shade. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have used something I like better: the Correcting Concealer by Bare Minerals. I know that some people apply concealer after foundation too, but I don't want to do it twice. It seems as though a bit gets brushed away when applying your foundation, but I don't have that problem with the Correcting Concealer. Overall, it is still far better than any other brands I've ever tried.
I have dark circles and dry under eyes and have been using the correcting concealer, but throughout the day the concealer would settle into my fine lines and look really bad by the time I got home. Embarrassingly bad. I didn't think I would find anything that wouldn't settle into my lines and not irritate my under eye skin until I found this! A little goes a long way and it stays on all day! Highly recommend for under eyes!
Works well but colors are limited
Please make this in a lighter color, as others have said!
I like how this product covers and blends but unfortunately there isn't a shade light enough for me. I need a light cool tone and I have no problem finding that in the Bare Minerals foundations which I have worn for years and love, so I don't understand why they don't make this concealer in matching tones, including lighter tones. I tried the creamy concealer (Correcting Concealer) in Light 1 and while that was a little better color-wise than the lightest color in this product (which is Bisque), I couldn't wear it under my eyes because it turned into numerous fine lines/creases within an hour or two.
I've been using bisque for maybe 8 years +? and I have yet to find anything that covers as well and as light as the Bare Minerals bisque. I even remember when this was just a late night infomercial product. My skin doesn't get greasy afterwards like it does with other products. It covers for hours and leaves my skin feeling soft. I don't EVER break out when I am wearing this. I only wish it were bigger because I apply this to my whole face and run out so very easily! The Bare Minerals foundation just doesn't cut it with coverage. I recently found out I had rosacea and this is a+++.
Doubles as a Foundation
I loved this product, but the color has changed. It used to match my skin tone exactly. now it's too dark and too pink. It worked for me because I have a number of spider vein clusters on my face, and this concealer covered them well as it matched my skin tone very well.
I hope BE puts it back the way it was, I would be very happy
Love it! Doubles as foundation
I have been using Bisque for years now. I have very light skin with pink undertones but I have red blotches, freckles and a few scars. The Bisque works great at covering imperfections and I now use it as my foundation. It is lightweight and feels great. Plus the container is smaller and fits nicely in my makeup bag!
I bought this in Bisque after trying and loving the Original Foundation. I find that it does not blend well with the fair foundation. It seems much darker than the fair tone and it is quite noticable. I think it covers well, but I find using the foundation over blemishes works just the same if not better. I don't think it was worth the money and I will not repurchase again.
Broad Spectrum Concealaer
I use the Summer Bisque AFTER I put on the Matte Foundation in Medium Beige. It works wonderfully to cover all my "trouble spots." Next, I lightly blend it with the foundation brush (still with some remaining foundation on it). To finish, I use the Original Mineral Veil with SPF all over to set my makeup.
I love this product
Bisque is the most wonderful concealer I have ever used! I cannot do without it and there is no way I would ever go back to the liquid or cream makeup and concealer after using Bare Minerals. I have used this product for about 13-14 years.
This is a great product!
I wear the lightest foundation you have. It looks a little paler than my skin, which is shocking cause I wear pale ivory in other brands. I almost took the pale foundation back, when I got the idea of using the Bisque on top of my foundation to give me a pinker look. I LOVE THE LOOK! The Bisque over my foundation saved the day! That's the benefit of being able to mix various powders.
Covers all my red spots!
As a sufferer of adult acne I have tried a lot of different strategies for curing/covering it up. This concealer when used with the concealer brush is amazing! Never thought my red areas could be covered so well by a powder, but it works! I use it under my eyes too, which tend to be dark after being up with my baby. This concealer does not fall into the fine lines and is nice and light. Plus the SPF is an added bonus.
I love that this concealer is not cakey, but is more light and fresh with coverage
This didnt work for me
I decided to try this powder instead of the ready made concealer and wow there is a difference. This powder did not conceal anything for me at all. I tried to even add some on top of my foundation to see if it would help but it didn't so i ended up using the ready made creamy concealer from bm that i had been using. Just didn't work for me.
