Suggested Usage Instructions

  • Hold the center of the pen and turn the bottom clockwise to start the flow of product. When using for the first time, turn approximately 5 times.

Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener 3.6 5 59 59
Couldn't Live Without It! I love, love, love this! I use this everyday before applying my eyeshadow and it hides the dark circles under my eyes so well. I thought it was a concealer but it is translucent and now I don't have to use concealer under my eyes. It brightens up my whole face and last all day. I use just a small amount each day, 2 clicks per eye is perfect. The only complaint I do have is that the lid is extremely hard to get off. So, I just lightly put it on and don't close it all the way. I am not sure if this is a problem with all of them or just this one in particular. I have ordered an extra just to have on hand when I run out, but with such a small amount needed, I think it will last a long time. I have used it over 4 months and have not used even a quarter of it. I love the BM products I have tried but I think this is my absolute favorite. 04/05/2014
Eye Marker Just one click, wipe on hand, use concealer brush to swipe/pat the liquid under the eye, then use the heavenly brush to blend into the skin. I also use my fingers at the end to press the liquid in just to be sure. I love this product. It's too bad there isn't much product in the marker style package. It doesn't crease at the end of the day like concealer. Ditch the concealer under your eyes. Say hello to this brightener! 03/28/2014
Love this brightener I do love this brightener for use under my eyes. However, when I first opened it I had to twist it more like twenty times to get the product to come out. I also feel that the brush is too stiff to use to apply the product under my eyes, so I have to dispense it on my finger and then pat it under my eye. I would like it better with a sponge applicator or in a squeeze-tip bottle. 03/10/2014
Love product but doesn't last long. I love this product, but you can't highlight those special areas on your face everyday. The product only last 2 weeks and it's too expensive to buy one every two weeks. Wish it had more in that big pen. Pen size is deceiving. It will have you thinking there is more in it than it really is. 03/09/2014
Needs more work on the dispensing I got the Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener on the advice of a consultant at my local BE botique. It took me a while to get the product to dispense properly and I never knew for sure how much was going to come out and especially if the tube was truely empty. It apparently has finished dispensing after only a week or two of use. Definitely not a value for my money! This is the only BE product I have ever felt unhappy enough about to write a negative review. I hope they will reconsider the packaging, the product is good, but not worth it in this form. 02/24/2014
Just what I wanted This stuff is great!! It's not a concealer ladies. So if you're wanting to cover really dark circles pick something else. This is just to brighten up that under eye area or other areas you want highlighted. It just gives you that little bit extra glow that is subtle but amazing!! Also it's so light so it doesn't sink into your fine lines. You will love this, it does exactly what it says it will do. 02/20/2014
Great product! The consultant at my Bare Minerals store recommended the liquid over the powder version of this product, so I went with this one. Truly a great product...I apply it under my eyes, right under my browbone and anywhere else I need a little magic. There is no shimmer or glitter so it looks very natural. It is most definitely not a concealer...this is the last thing I put on before walking out the door. 4 stars because the cap is a nuisance. If I push it down all the way I have a VERY difficult time getting it off. Leaving it slightly uncapped but still securely on has been a better option for me. 02/09/2014
I am the queen of dark circles... I'll admit, I was very skeptical. I have genetic very dark under-eye circles (thanks, mom!) that make me look like I never get any sleep...which, (who am I kidding?) is partially true. I had tried other dark circle cover-ups in the past with only minimal results. First off, this product is easy to put on and FAST acting. It only took about a minute, or two, to see a HUGE difference. I was amazed at how natural my eyes looked - and the best part was that my dark circles were practically gone! I am soooo glad I found this product! Once again, bareMinerals, you have wowed me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an under-eye dark circle fix that really does work - no gimmicks. 01/16/2014
Skeptical at first but surprised! When I was first shown this product, I was a little skeptical at first. When I first tried it, I thought it didn't work. Now I've used it everyday and it works wonders around the eyes. Having light skin my eyes look dark. I always used to use concealer to cover my eyes. Now I no longer need to use that much concealer. This product brightens up my eyes so naturally it looks amazing!!!! Thank you so much for this !!!!! 01/07/2014
Goodbye Sleepy Eyes! This product works really well for me! I have fair skin so dark eyes make me look deathly, and this helps boost the concealer I put over top of it! 12/07/2013

The first time I used the brightener, a white liquid came out on the brush. The five days since, no matter how many times I turn the base, it appears nothing is coming out.... or it's a clear liquid.

Is it clear, am I doing something wrong or did I get a faulty applicator.

When I first got it, I had to turn it a lot for the product to actually start coming out. You should be able to see the product because it isn't clear.

That is how my product is as well. I think this is intended to be a face 'illuminator' type product instead of an under eye conceal/highlight product #which is how it is advertised# which lends itself to the more white/neutral colored product.

The descriptions for the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener are nearly identical, and these are both new products. Can you please explain the difference between the two? Thank you very much.

The Well-rested is more of a brightener that adds shimmer and high lights the area, versus the eye brightener which does slightly more actual concealing

Even though both products serve the same purpose, I feel that the Stroke of Light has more tint to it than the Well-Rested pen after you apply it, but they both brighten up the face and under-eye area. I've tried both, and I would lean a little more towards the Stroke of Light.

Hope this answer helps!

Stroke of light functions as a concealer and well rested is a brightener/highligher only. Well rested is not meant to conceal. I didn't want to admit it at first like one of the ladies at the boutique told me, but you may need both. The well rested is amazing and doesn't sink into any lines you may have, the stroke of light is really only meant for where a dark circle may be, DON'T put it too close to the under eye area and DON'T put it near any laugh lines near the eyes. The well rested it great for inner eyes, brow bone, and especially cheek bones. I think the well rested is the more important product, and you could use a lot of other concealers for any dark circles... I haven't found anything like the new liquid well-rested as far as brightening and highlighting.

I just happen to have both of these products. The Stroke of Light Eye Brightener has a more pearlized look. I use it on my lids and under the brow. It is so pretty by itself but you can add eyeshadow. The Well-Rested Face has more of a creamy look. It still lightens the dark circles and minimizes the lines on the under eye area.

If you want coverage around your eyes the Well-Rested Face & Eye Brightener is not what you want. I use the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener or the new SPF 20 Correcting Concealer around my eyes and then layer the Well-Rested SPF 20 Eye Brightener LOOSE POWDER over it for a flawless finish. I bought the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and I absolutely hate it. It doesn't provide any coverage and it illuminates wrinkles around the eyes. Plus in my case it irritates my eyes and makes the water.

the pen is meant to be used as more of highlight on your face and to gee you a natural glow, while the eye brightener is more used to specifically cover dark circles and bring more light to your under eye area.

You pull the cap off to reveal the brush tip. Then, you hold the center of the pen itself and turn the base clockwise to have the brightener come up through the center of the brush tip. The first time, it takes 5-10 turns to come up through the brush. After that, just one turn, but each turn lasts a bit.

Hi Mrs. Y,
I hope that by now you have figured out how to use it, or at least still have it on hand.
Hold the product horizontal so that you can read the writing. Take the left cap off so you can see the brush. On the right you'll see the bottom of the product, which twists and makes a clicking sound every time you turn it clockwise one full turn. When using it for the first time, I suggest pointing the brush towards the ground and shaking the product so the liquid ends up near the brush end. Then turn the bottom of the product until you hear at least five clicks. Try applying the product via the brush. If nothing comes out, keep repeating the clicking and application until product reaches the brush and applies to your face. Hope this helps!

There should be directions! Pull the cap off and at the bottom of the wand is a twist portion. Turn that clockwise about 4 or 5 clicks. The Brightener drops out of the brush and is easily applied. I just love this product! Minimizes the dark circles and fine lines.

I had to turn it clockwise more than 5 times to get the liquid flow. Plus I turned it upside down. I think it had been stored upward.
