Q & A

Prime Time Oil Control Foundation Primer 3.6 5 56 56
1-day facelift! I've had this in my stash for about a year. I just ran out of my other BB cream, so I tried it. It actually tightened my skin! Everything was lifted up! You have to keep rubbing in & upward until it dries. It takes approx 15 seconds to dry & you automatically see & feel the difference! I'm 50 years old & by the way my friends acted, I looked 35! They assumed I'd had a facelift! I'm now ordering all I can afford! I'm scared now they will quit selling it! If you need tightening, oil control, help with swearing this product will help!!!! I love it!! 11/06/2015
Bare Minerals missed the mark on the one I have been a religious BM user for over 5 years. This product has been the biggest let down. It goes on sticky and doesn't seem to be absorbed by my skin. Halfway through the day, the product peels off and makes my skin look flaky. I have oily skin and can't tell the difference between primers for regular skin and this product. Other primers I have used in the past go on smooth and leave my face feeling soft and smooth all day with no flaky peel off. Not this one. There are much better primers out there. Don't waste your time with this mess. 10/13/2015
Perfect prep I've been using this for a couple of years now and really notice the difference when I run out/forget to apply. The product is lightweight and helps makeup apply even more flawlessly. My skin is prone to feeling oily mid-late afternoon and this helps to minimise if not remove completely on warm days. 09/18/2015
A must have! I love the oil control primer for my oily and sensitive skin! I apply one pump all around my face mostly focusing on my t-zone area where it gets the most oily. The product is very thin and smoothes on instantly. I think it helps provides a nice base before applying my foundation. 07/23/2015
Disappointed I have oily skin so I thought this would be the perfect primer; however, that was not the case. The primer itself is weird feeling when putting it on and by lunch time my face is more oily than it would be without the primer. 06/18/2015
Love this product I order this for my daughter as a gift/stocking stuffer for Christmas and she loves it. Says that it's the best of all others that she has used or tried! 10/29/2014
Amazing Oil Control Primer I have used both the original primer and the oil control primer. I like both, however, I think the oil control is the better of the two. Its light on my skin and it leaves my face feeling fresh. I definitely recommend it. 09/03/2014
Perfect bottom layer! After I wash and dry my face, I apply Oil Control Prime Time. It is the only face "base coat" that doesn't make my skin break out. It almost has a bit of a moisturizing affect for my skin. And, of course, it keeps my makeup in place! Highly recommend to anyone, especially those with problem/sensitive skin! 05/26/2014
Works Well but Packaging Does Not I really like this product, and do feel a difference when I apply it. In combination with other products, it does keep my oil at bay- which I love! However, with this packaging it is SO difficult to control how much comes out of the pump. Sometimes the mechanism does not work, and I get way more product than I need, so I feel like I am wasting it. Would give it five stars if the packaging was changed to make the amount more controllable! 05/07/2014
I love this product! Keeps away oil and shine! In combo with bare minerals matte foundation makes my skin appear flawless! 04/16/2014

I have applied an oil control moisturizer and then the oil control primer and had success. I would try both out and then if you feel that it's too greasy, just use the oil control primer since it has spf in it. I would just be sure to moisturize at night.

I'd use the Primer alone to see how it works. I have the same skin & only use my moisturizer, then primer before my foundation

It sounds as if you are putting on too much. I had the same problem my 1st time. I use a drop or 2 at a time & made sure I kep moving it in an upward motion as it dried. If you put it on as a moisturizer, it won't work. Take small areas at a time. It tightens as it dries so don't overuse it.

Is this product okay for people that have acne prone skin and any ingredients that might be pore-clogging. Also I was wondering what other products are good for acne prone skin?

I think yes because I'm very acne prone and haven't had an issue.

I have acne prone and sensitive skin and this product has never broke me out. I even asked a makeup specialist at the store (bare escentuals) and she told me that it wouldn't break me out. I was concerned with this issue myself as I did not want to spend this much money on something that was going to break me out. I've used it many, many times over this last year and have never had a problem. Also, it seems with me that anything that has any type of "paraben" in the ingredients ends up breaking me out, so I don't buy stuff that has that in there.
