Full Flawless Face Brush 2.8 5 95 95
Not the best This brush was actually from a friend, that didn't really use much makeup. I highly doubt she would have passed it along knowing the quality. I didn't even realize this was a BareMinerals product until I looked it up! When I think of this brand I think quality first, but I would not buy any of the brushes after my experience with this one. The bristles are constantly coming out and sticking to my face, and it's difficult to get them off without wiping off applied makeup. Definitely not anywhere near worth the price. It has gotten me by for now, and I only keep using it until I can find a replacement. 04/25/2015
Good Brush This is a replacement, even though the brushes last a long time, there comes a time you need a new one. Have used this brush for years, I'm a long time bare minerals user. 04/19/2015
Best finishing brush I always use my flawless face brush as the last step in my bareminerals makeup routine. I only use bareminerals moisturizers and makeup on my skin!!! I first apply moisturizer, then my complexion rescue or bareskin (depending on what type of coverage I want), then loose mineral foundation in original or matte (also depending on coverage I want and whether my skin is very shiny that morning or not) and lastly, I apply my mineral veil that I apply with my flawless face brush. Sometimes I do apply my mineral veil with a kabuki brush but then I always follow up with the flawless face brush. This brush finishes my face! I use the brush with or without makeup on the brush to smooth out the makeup that I already have applied. This brush is vital to pull the makeup all together! 03/22/2015
Awful brush - sheds so much, I'm surprised it still has hairs attached I figured bare minerals would have high quality brushes since the foundation products I use are great. But this brush never stops shedding. I've been using it a little over a month now and every day the bristles get all over my bathroom sink, my clothes and my face. Haven't had a chance to find a better brush supplier yet so that's why I'm stuck using it still. If this was a $5 brush, this quality MIGHT be okay but since it was $28, this is unacceptable. Would NOT recommend to anyone. 03/13/2015
Straw broom! This is the worst brush I have ever used. I thought I was being overly critical, but I'm glad to find others were having the same issues with this brush. I was SO excited to try this make up. I've been using the drug store versions of the mineral powder, so I thought I'd try the original... This brush literally felt and sounded like a straw broom being raked across my face. The brush didn't allow the powder to be spread well. I am very fond of the EcoTools brand of brushes. They are great brushes at a great price. I think I'll be keeping them! 03/12/2015
Works well for a while This brush works well the first few times you use it but sheds quite badly and can get itchy after some time. I've had the bristles fall in my eyes while running it over my face. Not very pleasant. 02/13/2015
Not worth the money. From day one, this brush has always made my skin itchy. At one point I thought I was allergic to the make-up, and just thinking of that made me sad. If you find that your face is itchy and you want to scratch it off, switch it up and use the Soft Focus Face Brush. So much better! 02/04/2015
Horrible I really can't believe they are still selling this brush, it's that bad. It is too large and dense and PAINFUL for full face powder application. No matter how you wash it it never softens and when you use it it scratches your skin. Oh and it sheds. Really dislike this brush... will probably be throwing it away soon, not sure what else to do with it. 12/28/2014
Full Flawless Face Brush I purchased this great brush almost 6 months ago. It is soft and fluffy, picks up my foundation well, buffs on wonderfully. I have to say that there have been many reviews that say it sheds, but I have not witnessed any shedding from this BE brush or any of my other BE brushes for that matter. 10/13/2014
Fairly Awful I got this brush in the getting started kit. I did not realize that it was made out of goat hair. I am allergic to goats. Which would explain why I get itchy when I put the foundation on. Now I realize that it isn't the foundation's fault. It also sheds. And when you wash it, it smells awful. Like wet goat (as would be expected). Don't buy this. You could probably buy something much cheaper that would work much better. 08/20/2014

I have had the same issue when I first bought the kit. I think it has something to do with the amount of brushes that are made for the kits. When I bought the full size version, the shedding did not occur.

Don't buy this one. It provides good coverage, but sheds everywhere and feels rough on your face.

Try searching the md formulations collection and search for products for acne. Bare Escentuals has a way of improving skin, so using md formulations would be great for your skin. Foundation wise, I would use a precision concealer brush. It's smaller than the max coverage concealer brush so you get to have more "precision" on those small or tricky spots on your face.

This brush is very irritating to me. Go buy a softer brush. You'll be happier. I did.

Make sure you're cleaning your brushes when you can. Also when you do the swirl tap and buff motion, you don't have to press too hard or swirl too vigorously. Less is more because you really wanna buff the product into your face good. Depending on how much you use your brushes, you can use the quick change shampoo for your brushes or you can use the well cared for shampoo and let your brushes soak BRISTLES DOWN and when you clean them, make sure the bristles are always pointed downward. Don't dry them with a blow dryer, let them lay flat on a face towel on a flat surface and let them naturally dry so make sure you are doing this at a time where u know you won't be wearing makeup the next day because I usually wash mine monthly because I don't put on makeup that much. I work with kids so they could care less how I look usually lol. The brushes to me are fine and if the brushes feel rough, you can always put primer on your face or a nice moisturizer so that will counteract how it feels against your skin.

My brushes from the Get Started Kit lasted me around 6 years with everyday use. If you notice your makeup is not covering the way it once did, that's how you know you need a new brush.

I asked a BE rep about this last month and she told me that after 5 years, it may be time for an upgrade on replacing your items. The brush shampoo works well. Once a month cleaning it is good unless you use it a lot then I would wash it twice a month. I don't use makeup much, so I used my Full Flawless Application Face Brush a few times and then years later I felt I need to wear makeup again because my youth is gone at the age of 26 already and I'll be 27 later this year. I like the Handy Buki Brush for foundation coverage. Try it...you should like it. It's smaller than this brush, but I'm able to control how much I put on and I feel the makeup has a better chance of being applied evenly and flawlessly.

Hey,
So, I believe that it all depends on the type of brush, how you take care of it, and how long you have had it. It sounds like you take care of your brushes, just make sure to be gentle when washing them. I think Leslie has a video on how it should be done. It sounds like you need a new brush. If it is not giving you the same coverage it used to maybe it is time for another. Hope this is helpful! Good luck!

It depends on how often you use the brush. I've found that when I was the brush with the bareminerals shampoo, I use an eyelash comb thingy to comb it out and then shape it with my fingers and let it air dry. My brush lasted about 3 years.
