Liner Shadow - null
I have these in Black Ruby and Sugar Plum -- both are fantastic for setting off green eyes. I mix it with a dot of shadow liner, tap the brush to make sure there's no loose fallout, and I find it very easy to apply. I use an angled eyeliner brush, and I can do a thin line or thick. I love the colors -- they are really "there" and don't fade. Best of all, it stays put all day. This is better than any pencil I've tried, and better than liquid liner. In the future it would be nice to have in cake formula for travel, but I highly recommend liner shadow as is.
Dragonfly - BEAUTIFUL
I received a sample of the Dragonfly because I wasn't sure if I would like the color or not. It is a BEAUTIFUL color. The color shown on the web site doesn't do it justice. If you have ever seen a real dragonfly in bright sunlight, this is the exact same color. It is a deep sapphire color with tiny sparkles of other colors. I use it wet as a liner and then also brush it on my lashes after using the Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara. Next week when I get to the Boutique that my sister-in-law works at, this is going to be at the top of my list. Thank you Bare Minerals for such a awesome color!
Surprisingly versatile and long lasting
I had been alternating btw a liquid liner (Stila) and a gel liner (Mac) when I bought this. The other two products worked well, but one ran out very quickly (or dried up) and the other was drying up.
The beauty of this little jar of powder is that it won't ever dry out. One of the girls at a boutique showed me a nifty trick: Mix a bit of eye shadow primer with a tiny bit of this liner/shadow powder and the liner will stay on forever.
And I swear: It works as she said.
Using primer to mix the product, the liner cannot be easily rubbed off or washed off (it really stays on). One has to use an eye makeup remover. And one must wash the brush immediately (and maybe with special cleanser).
Alternatively one can also just use a drop of water (as suggested) to mix with the powder--it applies just as smoothly and stays on quiet long as well. The brush washes clean just as easily.
I can't imagine my life without this product.
I decided to purchase this on a whim and I am SO GLAD I did. This little jar has lasted me forever (over a year) even with daily use. I use coffee bean and it is the perfect shade. I use it as a brow liner as well as an eyeliner and it gives me the most amazing smokey look. I find it much easier to apply and way more forgiving than liquid or pencil liners. This product is a MUST HAVE. I want everyone to experience the absolute perfection that is this product. I mean really guys, over a year's worth of eyeliner and brow liner for $14?
I am in search of a replacement but unfortunately it looks like I can only get it online now. Ulta has stopped selling it and the boutiques I have visited do not carry it. PLEASE DO NOT GET RID OF THIS PRODUCT!!
Versitle & Great Color
I just bought my first Liner Shadow in Patio Party. It is a beautiful, soft black with a subtle gold flake. Not too glittery. (But it's not a color available on the website.) I put it on dry in the morning for a smugy line. I add a bold line, using it wet, before I go out for the evening. It's not quite as blendable as the other shadows, but is still blendable enough to get a great sheer look.
Soft Black Liner
I use this as a wet liner, dry liner, eye shadow and a brow liner! It is now no longer available at the Ulta Store, they tried to steer me to another brand, but I thought I would check here online first. So glad I did!
Website Color Representation
First, I love the powder eyeliners. Love that I can use it dry or wet, a little or a lot. However, the colors online don't match the colors in person. I suggest to anyone looking to buy a particular eye liner or eye shadow, to go to the store to look at the colors in person.
I loved the 'Turquoise Sea' eyeliner color online. Description reads, 'a green marble shade'. The online description and color really does look like a green marble color, but when I went to the store it looked more like a blue turquoise color like the sea. The color matched its name more than its description. It was not at all a green marble shade, I'd say its blue/green.
In result, I ended up looking at other colors that resembled the green shade I wanted. Good thing I didn't buy the Turquoise Sea online, because I would've been disappointed. Nothing disappoints me more than buying things online (& paying for shipment), waiting for it to arrive (time consuming), and its not what I wanted.
My favorite BE liners. Can be applied wet or dry. Lasts all day. Great color selection. PLEASE never stop making this product.
Love this liner!
Love this liner! I love that you can use it wet or dry. I use it with the angled liner brush. I have very sensitive skin and it doesn't both my eyes or skin. I bought both "now" and "legit" - "now" turns a little reddish on my skin (might be better as shadow), but "legit" it a really nice color to use as a liner.
SURE THING - perfect reddish-plum matte!
I have used Sure Thing as a shadow for 10 years, it was my first BE shadow in fact. I have medium reddish brown hair, medium brown eyes, a fairish/medium Irish skintone with pink undertone. Sure Thing is the perfect medium reddish-plum matte shade that is my daily go-to shade when I'm wearing brown, black, green, blue, turquoise or plum tops & sweaters...basically everything but red. This is not a bluish-purple, definately a reddish-plum. I don't wear it as a liner, I use it dry, with a soft, fluffy round eyeshadow brush over the entire lid and crease areas. Just a light coverage gives just the right amount of coloring that makes my brown eyes quite pretty. I have also gone over it with a heavier application just along the lid with a sponge applicator for nightime. I did try it once along the lower lash line as a liner but the color is too reddish there. I love this shade and will keep re-ordering as long as they offer it.
Note: as with ALL of the BE eyeshadows, you need to use a light, neutral light shadow as a primer over your entire eye area first. NEVER use BE eyeshadows directly on the skin, it ends up very splotchy. I have used Estee Lauder Sandbar Beige Matte for this purpose for years and highly recommend it.
