Liner Shadow - null
Best eyeliner for sensitive eyes
I am allergic and sensitive to most eye products and this is the only eyeliner that I can wear. In fact, this is one of only two products that I can wear on a daily basis. I can't use eyeliner pencils or gel liner so this product is perfect for me. I found it messy at first but discovered that if you just dip an eyeliner brush into the powder that is sticking to the lid, tap off the excess and spritz with either water or a makeup fixing spray, it works perfectly and is mess free. You can easily build up the intensity of the color and I find it will last all day. I can only use matte shades - no glitter whatsoever - so I use the Soft Black shade and I love it! I see that some stores no longer sells this product - I hope that this is not an indication that it is being discontinued. I love this product, please keep it around!
THE WEATHER EVERTHING KIT!!!!
I AM NOT A FAN OF PENCIL LINERS. THIS TYPE OF EYE LINER WORKS THE BEST FOR ME
YOU CAN ADJUST IT TO ANY CONSISTENCY YOU WANT.
IT WAS EVEN BETTER WITH THE LIQUID SEALER THAT HELPED THE LINER STAY ON ALL DAY
**********PLEASE BRING IT BACK************************
When I saw this color online (Black Ruby) I thought "wow, that is beautiful and unique" I also knew that sometimes computers don't always display the colors correctly, but I thought I would take a chance since it looked so lovely. Well let me tell you it is even more beautiful in person and on your eye! In the pot it looks beautifully pigmented but a little more shimmery than the picture so I was a little worried because I was not looking for shimmer but when you get it on it's not. It's just a gorgeous color that you would be able to wear with so many different eye shadows. Looks great with blue eyes. Love, love, love these liner shadows and wouldn't think of using a different kind of eyeliner. I use them wet and dry. Please don't ever discontinue them, Please!
Love it! And trick to combat mess
This is the perfect liner! It can look very natural if used dry, or if wetted it goes on heavy which is perfect for me! I have the soft black and love it. ((What i did to combat the mess it can make is I used an exact knife to cut out only one hole and left the seal on the other three so I can get a lot with a couple shakes or a little and it works great))
I have officially converted from liner pencils
I always knew you could use eye shadows as an eyeliner...but I didn't realize how much of a difference it would make. I loved the look of liquid liners but could never find one that I could really deal with - either it would smudge, smear, and come off with just a touch of moisture, or it would be so waterproof that it was hard to get off with makeup remover. This is absolutely perfect. It lasts all day, will survive through a few tears if you're careful, and then comes off the same as my mascara when I wash my face at night.
I will agree with another reviewer that this can be messy - I always open the little container over my sink, just in case some powder falls out, because this is a little more intense of a color than normal eyeshadows so I don't want this falling on my carpet, clothes, etc.
Perfect but Messy!
I've been using this eyeshadow/liner for almost 4 years and I love it. All you have to do is add some water, grab an angle brush, and it goes on well and stays on all day. I will be using it forever, the only thing is when you open it, IT GETS EVERYWHERE! I usually have to open it up on top of a paper towel because if I don't, it gets all over my fingers and the table and it doesn't come off except with makeup remover! That is the only thing I don't like about it. If you're thinking about buying it, do it, just have a good makeup remover and a paper towel near you when you open it up.
Create any number of looks with the Liner Shadow!
I have this product in several shades. What I like most about it is its versatility. I can create a soft, natural look or a more bold, sassy look just by the way I apply it (dry or wet). Very easy to layer color if you want a heavier or smokey eye look. The only reason why I did not give it five hearts is because it can be a little messy sometimes.
Black Ruby - my new best friend
I absolutely love Black Ruby. Not only is it a great liner, but I have mixed it with a soft light shadow and used it in my crease for a great smoky eye. I have blue eyes and it just makes them pop! Its got just enough shimmer to glam up your eye. It stays put, what's not to love.
I have these in Black Ruby and Sugar Plum -- both are fantastic for setting off green eyes. I mix it with a dot of shadow liner, tap the brush to make sure there's no loose fallout, and I find it very easy to apply. I use an angled eyeliner brush, and I can do a thin line or thick. I love the colors -- they are really "there" and don't fade. Best of all, it stays put all day. This is better than any pencil I've tried, and better than liquid liner. In the future it would be nice to have in cake formula for travel, but I highly recommend liner shadow as is.
Dragonfly - BEAUTIFUL
I received a sample of the Dragonfly because I wasn't sure if I would like the color or not. It is a BEAUTIFUL color. The color shown on the web site doesn't do it justice. If you have ever seen a real dragonfly in bright sunlight, this is the exact same color. It is a deep sapphire color with tiny sparkles of other colors. I use it wet as a liner and then also brush it on my lashes after using the Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara. Next week when I get to the Boutique that my sister-in-law works at, this is going to be at the top of my list. Thank you Bare Minerals for such a awesome color!
Surprisingly versatile and long lasting
I had been alternating btw a liquid liner (Stila) and a gel liner (Mac) when I bought this. The other two products worked well, but one ran out very quickly (or dried up) and the other was drying up.
The beauty of this little jar of powder is that it won't ever dry out. One of the girls at a boutique showed me a nifty trick: Mix a bit of eye shadow primer with a tiny bit of this liner/shadow powder and the liner will stay on forever.
And I swear: It works as she said.
Using primer to mix the product, the liner cannot be easily rubbed off or washed off (it really stays on). One has to use an eye makeup remover. And one must wash the brush immediately (and maybe with special cleanser).
Alternatively one can also just use a drop of water (as suggested) to mix with the powder--it applies just as smoothly and stays on quiet long as well. The brush washes clean just as easily.
I can't imagine my life without this product.
I decided to purchase this on a whim and I am SO GLAD I did. This little jar has lasted me forever (over a year) even with daily use. I use coffee bean and it is the perfect shade. I use it as a brow liner as well as an eyeliner and it gives me the most amazing smokey look. I find it much easier to apply and way more forgiving than liquid or pencil liners. This product is a MUST HAVE. I want everyone to experience the absolute perfection that is this product. I mean really guys, over a year's worth of eyeliner and brow liner for $14?
I am in search of a replacement but unfortunately it looks like I can only get it online now. Ulta has stopped selling it and the boutiques I have visited do not carry it. PLEASE DO NOT GET RID OF THIS PRODUCT!!
Versitle & Great Color
I just bought my first Liner Shadow in Patio Party. It is a beautiful, soft black with a subtle gold flake. Not too glittery. (But it's not a color available on the website.) I put it on dry in the morning for a smugy line. I add a bold line, using it wet, before I go out for the evening. It's not quite as blendable as the other shadows, but is still blendable enough to get a great sheer look.
Soft Black Liner
I use this as a wet liner, dry liner, eye shadow and a brow liner! It is now no longer available at the Ulta Store, they tried to steer me to another brand, but I thought I would check here online first. So glad I did!
Website Color Representation
First, I love the powder eyeliners. Love that I can use it dry or wet, a little or a lot. However, the colors online don't match the colors in person. I suggest to anyone looking to buy a particular eye liner or eye shadow, to go to the store to look at the colors in person.
I loved the 'Turquoise Sea' eyeliner color online. Description reads, 'a green marble shade'. The online description and color really does look like a green marble color, but when I went to the store it looked more like a blue turquoise color like the sea. The color matched its name more than its description. It was not at all a green marble shade, I'd say its blue/green.
In result, I ended up looking at other colors that resembled the green shade I wanted. Good thing I didn't buy the Turquoise Sea online, because I would've been disappointed. Nothing disappoints me more than buying things online (& paying for shipment), waiting for it to arrive (time consuming), and its not what I wanted.
My favorite BE liners. Can be applied wet or dry. Lasts all day. Great color selection. PLEASE never stop making this product.
Love this liner!
Love this liner! I love that you can use it wet or dry. I use it with the angled liner brush. I have very sensitive skin and it doesn't both my eyes or skin. I bought both "now" and "legit" - "now" turns a little reddish on my skin (might be better as shadow), but "legit" it a really nice color to use as a liner.
SURE THING - perfect reddish-plum matte!
I have used Sure Thing as a shadow for 10 years, it was my first BE shadow in fact. I have medium reddish brown hair, medium brown eyes, a fairish/medium Irish skintone with pink undertone. Sure Thing is the perfect medium reddish-plum matte shade that is my daily go-to shade when I'm wearing brown, black, green, blue, turquoise or plum tops & sweaters...basically everything but red. This is not a bluish-purple, definately a reddish-plum. I don't wear it as a liner, I use it dry, with a soft, fluffy round eyeshadow brush over the entire lid and crease areas. Just a light coverage gives just the right amount of coloring that makes my brown eyes quite pretty. I have also gone over it with a heavier application just along the lid with a sponge applicator for nightime. I did try it once along the lower lash line as a liner but the color is too reddish there. I love this shade and will keep re-ordering as long as they offer it.
Note: as with ALL of the BE eyeshadows, you need to use a light, neutral light shadow as a primer over your entire eye area first. NEVER use BE eyeshadows directly on the skin, it ends up very splotchy. I have used Estee Lauder Sandbar Beige Matte for this purpose for years and highly recommend it.
Great as a brow liner too!
I LOVE using Coffee Bean as a brow liner, my face just isn't complete without it!
Love this liner!
I have 8 of these squirreled away so I don't have to worry about it being discontinued for years. Bark is a perfect color for me -- not black and yet not too brown either. A little powder goes a long way when you use this as a wet liner. Put small amount of powder in the lid and swirl it round with a wet brush to the intensity you want- the next time you use it, just wet brush and swirl it around the edges of the lid and you can apply without adding more powder. I travel for work and cannot touch up makeup as a rule -- this liner stays on until I go to bed. I recommend using a slanted liner brush. Great product!
Firefly: loving the name and color
Besides loving the name, I love the color. Got this in a kit and the coppery-brown description would have made me think it's unwearable on my skin tone. (Usually coppers or reddish-based colors aren't.) It's rather pretty and a unique color if you're looking for something different-- not too red at all. Applied dry, it goes on as a light to medium brown with a coppery-bronze sheen. Applied wet, the sheen and color are enhanced. It's not overly bright or dramatic though, and can still easily be worn for day. I like to use this on my lower lash line to prevent raccoon eyes when wearing a darker liner on top. Goes really well on bottom lashes with Coffee Bean liner on the upper lashes.
I have used many liner colors from BE over the last 10 years. They are very versatile in how you can use them. Add a teeny bit of water for precise lines and a more intense color. Use without water for a more smudged look. You can also use them as a crease accent for a "Smokey" effect. One of my favorite colors is Sugar Plum which is a great Purple color. I also really like Onyx which is a classic black. Play around with these!!! I love all the colors I have in the Liner Shadow line. =)
Lasts through anything
I've been using BE for about 8-10 years and this shade came in one of the first kits I bought. I'm lovin' it today as much as I did the first time I used it. It goes on beautifully, either dark and dramatic, or soft and subtle...and it goes with EVERYTHING! It lasts through sleeping, swimming and 14 hour work days. I wear Humor 3-5 times a week and I'm still using my original jar! I hope it lasts me another 8-10 years. This is the best stuff EVER!
