READY Touch Up Veil Broad Spectrum Spf 15 - null
What happened to Tan color
I love the product, but am very upset they don't have tan available. Will be finding a substitute product.
I've used and loved this product for a long time. It's especially good when used as the
'finishing touch' over Complexion Rescue moisturizer. But I have the same complaint as
several other reviewers: About half way through the compact, the powder breaks up into
little pieces -- very annoying and makes application difficult. My biggest complaint today
is that it's not available in medium color! I cannot wear any of the other colors, so I'll be
searching for a substitute brand.
Breaks easily into chucky pieces
I love having a compact in my purse for powdering a shiny nose on occasion. However, within two weeks of purchase, the powder broke into pieces and fell out every time I opened the compact. Had to throw it away.
Works wonders over BB cream
This came in my surprise beauty box and it is one of my favorite products. I wasn't sure what to do with it originally, but as I was experimenting one day, I put it on top of my BB cream (unfortunately not a bare minerals BB cream) and it was like magic! It helps keep me from getting oily and make the BB cream last longer.
Velvet like magic!
I really appreciate this product more and more each time that I use it. For someone who can be lazy about applying make up, especially in very hot, humid weather, this is a wonderful powder/veil to use!!! I love the way that it makes my skin feel, when I touch my cheek with the back of my hand, and find it astounding that my skin feels so smooth!!! I highly recommend this product to any and everyone!
Excellent quality product. I will be upset if you ever stop making and selling it!!!
I really tried to use this powder but couldn't due to the odor.
I bought this powder at a Bare Minerals store. I really couldn't believe how terrible it smelled when I first used it, chemical odor and also some mildew, I think. I did not want to try to return it to the distant store, so I washed the puff several times. No decrease in the smell. Using a brush with the powder didn't help, the smell is in there too. Since the powder is applied to the nose, this is a pretty big problem. It is not often I throw new purchases away, but I can't use it.
Takes away the oil!!
If you have skin thats oily or slightly greasy, this product will nip that in the bud. I have a compact I keep at work and dust a bit on in the afternoon to soak up the oil. It makes my skin look more matte and clear. If you are planning to go out after work and don't want to wash up and start your makeup over, just use this to clean things up and refresh. Highly recommend it!!! Keep one in your purse or work bag, too!
The best powder I ever had
I am so happy that I bought this product, since it does what it promise. At my age, my skin really need make up which is benefiting instead showing the not anymore youthful "texture". I am very skilled in choosing my product and know what I need. There are tons of powders on the market, but each of them have always something why I did not like it. Until now. This is the VEIL I was dreaming about. I would recommend it to all of you.
Thought I'd give this a try and bought it more for portability and ease of use when not at home. Wow, I should have gotten this sooner because the staying power on the ready products are the best. I live in Hawaii and the humidity can get bad, so the shine on my face always needs a touch up. Well, with the ready I notice less shine sooner and less touchup. Great, and I do notice this too on the ready foundation.
Get rid of those nasty puffs!
I had the same experience described in the review by Maggie Mae. Got a sample size (the "Ready Illuminating Touch-Up Veil") and could not believe how bad it smelled. Petrochemical type odor. I knew it was probably from the soft black plastic on the back of the puff. I discarded that immediately and left the compact sitting open on a windowsill. But more than a week later the scent was still in the product! No way I want my face to smell like that, to me or others! I scraped all the powder out, hoping to at least salvage the nice little silver compact for alternate use. Unfortunately, the odor still remains, though much less strong. It seems to be concentrated in the black plastic surrounding the silver product tray, so it would probably be best to get rid of that material, too. I would expect this kind of thing to slip by QC with drugstore junk, not Bare Minerals.
