Really miss the brow powder
When BE came out with the new brow pencils I had some brow powder left and it never occurred to me that they would get rid of the brow powder. So, very happy with my powder, I just ignored the new product and kept using the one I loved. Had I known that the brow powder would be removed from all the boutiques I would have run in and stocked up! The pencil streaks and is gloopy (that's not a real word but I don't know how else to describe it). It doesn't look right. The powder was the PERFECT shade for my coloring. It was honestly one of those products that I never thought about or even worried when I got low, I just picked up another and continued about my day. I miss it, I am sad that BE would discontinue a product people have relied on for years. I understand wanting to expand the line and that there were probably many customers asking for a pencil, but why does it have to be one or the other? Please consider bringing back the powder.
No brow powder?
Very disappointed to find that the brow powder has been discontinued. The brow powder was one of the best around. Brow pencils don't come close. I was also disappointed that my favorite eye liner pencil has been discontinued. I'm reading a lot of reviews about this subject and hope the company goes back to the drawing board and brings back the products we love!
What a disappointment!
I agree with a fellow reviewer about the Brow Powder that after years of searching I too was beyond happy to finally find a something that makes my brow look their most natural. It colored and filled to perfection. I am disappointed with the brow pencil. Please, please consider bringing back the brow powder.
Bring back the powder
I have very light brows and loved the powder, finally found after years of searching for something that looked natural. So disappointed it is discontinued. Will not even consider switching to a pencil. Have not liked a lot of your changes, and am thinking about moving away from Bare Minerals altogether after years of it being my ONLY makeup line.
Not the same
This pencil is not a good replacement for the brow powder! PLEASE put the eyebrow powder back into production. The pencil is difficult to use and the pigmentation is not a great as the powder.
Best brow pencil!
I love this product. I have tried every pencil, powder and gel, and none of them worked on my sparse, wiry brows. This pencil is the best. And the 'universal dark' matches my hair color better than any other brown. Other pencils are either too red or too black.
I really don't understand all of the negative reviews, especially the ones that state they never used the product and never will. It doesn't seem fair to count those in the overall rating.
Really Great Product!!!
I loved the brow powder too, but when I saw this brow pencil I just had to try it and I've never gone back to powder. I just follow Leslie's suggestion to draw light lines - like individual hairs - wherever I need coverage. I find that applying the product in this manner provides a more natural-looking brow - instead of one that is shaped with an eyebrow stencil. I have black brows and I find that the light color blends in better and produces a more natural brow. After spending years and years plucking my eyebrows - and sometimes removing more hairs than I should have - this product covers my mistakes and lets me have the beautiful brows I was aiming for all along.
Missing the Strawberry Honey Blonde powder!
The brow color powder was perfect and natural looking. Especially enjoyed the Strawberry Honey Blonde color.
Using Shadows Instead
I'm giving this 2 stars based on other reviews, and the fact that I have always hated eyebrow pencils. I haven't tried it and don't plan to. When I first started using Bare Minerals years ago, I wasn't using anything on my brows, but during a visit to Sephora I tried the brow powder, and was hooked! Now I go to buy more (it lasted forever), and find Bare Minerals has removed it from their product line. What?!?!?!?!?!?! Im so disappointed. I can only hope that with all the negative reviews of the pencils, and the pleas to bring back the powder, BE will bring them back. In the meantime, I decided to try using some of the dark browns I have in my palettes and collections (7 Ways to Bare). Today, I used Boardroom in the Ready 8.0 Power Neutrals collection, and it's beautiful! I actually like it better than the Auburn brow powder I had been using. So, just in case they don't bring the powders back, and if you're currently looking for something else that you like as well as the brow powders, try eyeshadow! I would think with the range of light to dark colors BE has, blondes to dark haired ladies can find something that works. Good luck!
Bring Back brow POWDER!!! please
The brow powder was prefect-many of my family, close friends and co-workers never even knew I used anything on my brows, because the powder looked natural. This pencil does not.
Plus I have really sensitive skin and never had a problem with allergic reacations with the powder.
Many of the new products I am finding I am allegric to; like the ready foundation, and ready blush and the around the clock eyeliners.
I have been a faithful customer snce 1998 and I am now worried I will need to find a new brand. Before Bare Minerals I had to stop wearing make up all together since Almay and Clinque I still reacted too.
Please do not forget your repeat customers.
