bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null 4.2 5 427 429
Extremely Disappointed! Felt like a coating on my face with an unpleasant odor. The odor lasted all day. Toward the end of the day my skin was irritated (itchy). Unfortunately, I purchased the product and the brush, which was a waste of my money. I will never use it again! If you are going to try it, get a sample. Use it a couple times before wasting your money. I am sticking to the powder! 01/24/2015
ONE OF THE BEST FOUNDATIONS AROUND!!!! I realize that not all foundations work for everyone but I can truly say, this foundation is AMAZING! I have tried so many different foundations in my lifetime and many of them were not the right shade, did not have the best ingredients, and where just too thick!! Finally, someone has created a foundation that considers the fact that women come in so many lovely shades, just like flowers!!! This foundation is also good for people with sensitive skin, like me. Bare Minerals have so many lovely products, I really think they are truly worth a try. This line was recommend to me by an up and coming make up artist and I am glad she made the recommendation. I take great care of my skin and have done so all my life. If you love your skin and want to keep it in great condition....TRY THIS FOUNDATION. If you are allergic to anything, that's normal. Again, not everything works for everyone, but Bare Minerals stand by their products and this is also proof of their dedication and that the AWARDS they have received were deserved. KEEP UP THE FABULOUS WORK in making everyone women feel beautiful!!! 01/24/2015
Favorite Foundation of All Time This foundation has become my Holy Grail and I doubt I will ever reach for anything else! I know some have labeled it as cakey, and I will admit I experienced this. I was in a hurry, put too much product in the brush, just swiped it on and walked; but if you use small amounts at a time and really take the time to buff it in like they recommend I'm sure you'll be as happy with this foundation as I am. My acne has also decreased tremendously since I started using this foundation (I haven't changed my routine just my foundation). My co-workers and family members all comment on how jealous they are of my skin and I tell them its all in the foundation :) I do highly recommend getting color matched in a boutique, or if unable to get to a boutique really take the time to check the color against your skin tone in different lighting. The color I was reaching for was not even close to what ended up being a perfect match for me. The girl in my boutique was amazing though, and my color is Bare Shell. I have light skin w/ freckles, rosacea tinged cheeks, strawberry blonde hair, and I can get a faint "golden" tan in the summer (I've been told I'm a pain to color match lol). 01/24/2015
Mixed emotions I got this product about 2 month ago and i loved how it applies on; its like your putting nothing on. As a couple hours passed it starts to detirate in certain spots like by my nose and in the t-zone, so you will have to retouch throughout the day depending on what type of skin you have. Also it has a dewy finish so if you do not like that just throw their mineral veil over it to make it look matte. Overall i like the product and its very build able 01/23/2015
Made me breakout Thank goodness I tried a sample first - nice light coverage but all day it felt slightly slick to the touch & made my face break out in little bumps after a couple uses. If you've been using their powder foundation & are curious to switch to liquid, I recommend trying a sample first. I use Fairly Light in powder & tried Bare Neutral in this liquid which was a good shade match for me. I will not buy the full size of this formula & will stick to BE's loose matte foundation powder - at least the ingredients list for that stays true to their original motto of "makeup so pure you can sleep in it" (which I do with no adverse affects). 01/22/2015
Beyond impressed I had been wanting to try BareSkin for a while and finally pulled the trigger when my Original powder foundation ran out. I am beyond impressed! The coverage is amazing for my rosacea and minor breakouts, and it looks so beautiful and natural. I did learn that it looks best over an oil-free moisturizer, my BB with sunscreen was too sticky and it didn't lay right. Finished with Mineral Veil it lasts on my combination/oily skin most of the day. It rubs off on the nose and chin, but I think if I was better about touching up with Mineral Veil throughout the day it would minimize this. Overall, I am sorry I waited so long to try it, I don't think I'll ever be without it! 01/22/2015
LOOVE<3 I absolutely loove this foundation. It makes my skin looked soo natural. Sometimes i do like to add the mineral makeup over so that it makes my skin look amazing. This is definetly one of my faves!! 01/21/2015
Awwwwwwwesome! Singing the praises! This is my favorite foundation of all time. My skin is starting to look a little older (I'm 42), so the powder foundation was getting just a teeny bit visible. I put this kind on and was a little shocked at first because it is *so* correcting that my skin looked completely different. But after a few days of using it, I'm used to having nearly flawless skin again. My only complaint is that the SPF is a little heavy. But what are you going to do? Not wear SPF? I think switching to a non-SPF moisturizer is going to make this foundation utterly perfect. One note: your skin must be well exfoliated. Otherwise the makeup shows. 01/17/2015
Awsome new product I love the personal touch when visiting a store. I tried this product for the first time and loved the coverage. I have redness and a scar to cover. It worked great. I would continue using this product. 01/17/2015
Good, BUT... I love this product! But the bottle is a disaster! Wastes product by spewing all over the place for no apparent reason. This is very frustrating! If I'm going to spend $30 on foundation, I don't want half of it a wasted mess all over everything except my face! Please fix this, or I won't be purchasing again. 01/13/2015

I love this product. Not at first, but with more use am getting better. Also am using less product with experience. Just don't know if the Bisque is being wiped off as I apply the Bare Skin foundation.

Can this foundation be successfully applied using the fingertips? I do get tired of all the special brush needs ...I feel this might be a marketing thing to get us to spend more

No i would not recommend using your fingers because since it is a type of foundation that sits on top of your skin and not go into your pores it will probably leave many streaks and not go on evenly. The brush is very expensive, but i do use it all the time. But i feel it would be fine if you use a cheaper brush and it will apply just fine. Hope that helped!

Yes, I use my fingers because the "special brush" starts stinking if you don't clean it after every 1-2 times of using it. Fingertips work fine for me.

I usually buy brushes for my different kinds of BE makeups, but I use my fingertips for this. I think it goes on better and blends well by using my hands.

I would advise against using your finger tips and stick to a brush. I use a flat head powder brush to blend out my foundation which works beautifully with liquid foundations. The "special" brush does not work well especially if you're in a hurry to slap on your makeup.
Stick to a well designed, dense, kabuki or powder brush.

Brush is sold separately. I've used my fingers to get heavier coverage, but for whole face application the brush is necessary. I haven't tried a regular foundation brush yet, but that might also work.

The next shade lighter than Bare Natural 07 (a Medium shade with neutral undertones) is Bare Linen 03 (a Light shade with neutral undertones). It doesn't have any red to it. You can warm it up with some bronzer if it is a bit too light.

I absolutely love this foundation, except for the bottle. :( I love that a little goes a long way, but when product randomly oozes out and down the side, wasting DAYS of foundation, it's hard to convince me to purchase again. I haven't been able to figure out what causes it, as it seems random. I've tried shaking less, tried shaking more.... but it's just so frustrating to take off the lid and see foundation pouring down the side uncontrollably. PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS SOMETHING I CAN DO TO PREVENT IT.

I have had the same problem as you. I have pretty good luck if I open the lid a bit (like opening a soda) close it back up and then shake it lightly and tap the bottom on my vanity a couple times before I open it again. I also hold it at the top and shake it like you would ring a bell instead of shaking it like a can of spray paint.

This is what works for me!

This happens to me as well. After shaking, tap the bottle to try and shake out the air bubble. Sometimes this helps, other times not.

I've tried shaking it then let it sit for about 30 seconds. It helps some, not as much comes out on it's own.

This foundation is a liquid so it wouldn't stay on the kabuki as well. The kabuki is very absorbent so it would soak up all of the liquid and be very wasteful, plus the application wouldn't work as well. Of course I'd suggest going into the nearest outlet you can find, get matched and ask all your questions there if possible.
Personally I have such a specific color that this is about the only foundation that really matches, and I use it so much I honestly think that its worth buying a new brush if you do choose to get some.

Get on the website and find our powder foundation...is it the palest for neutral, cool or warm tones? Then go find the same shade in the liquid for the same undertone.....like I'm fairly light in the loose powder and bare linen in the liquid....same shade and undertone just different formulas. Hope this helps!!!

it all depends on your undertones, if you have a moe pinker undertone then try to find something that is fair with pinks. Personally I am that weird in-between when i have slightly yellow, slightly pink undertones and i use the Bare Linen 03 and its incredible, in foundations i am a light. I hope that helps a little :)

I am 59 and need to find a new foundation that won't make my facial wrinkles so obvious. Up until now the only foundation I have found that blends into my face color is Pink 2 by Shishedo (sp?). I am very fair and have pink tones compliments of my red headed dad..lol
I have wasted so much money on liquids, powder foundation, mineral ones and I can no longer afford to waste money as I am disabled and on a fixed income.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
betty

Pick the shade that best matches you and then get the one for cool undertones. If you have a boutique or an Ulta or a sephora close to you, you can go in and try the different types of foundations on your problem areas and see which one you like the best. The different formulas work slightly differently in my opinion and your skin may prefer one over the other.

Please shake the bareSkin® Pure Brightening Serum Foundation well for a perfect mix of ingredients. As for the very strong odor, this is not normal. We suggest to check with Ulta regarding their return policy. If they are not able to accommodate you, please call bareMinerals® Customer Care at 1-888-795-4747.
