Tips & Tricks

    NATURAL BEAUTY
  • To create the look of naturally lush lashes, dot eyeliner in between upper lashes, working color right into the base of lashes. Blend lightly with smudge tip for fuller-looking fringe.

  • FINE LINE
  • Start with a freshly sharpened pencil. Hold eyeliner at a 90-degree angle and slowly apply along upper lash line for ultimate precision. Begin at the inner corner of eyelid and follow the lash line to the outer corner of the eye for a crisp, clean line.

  • UP IN SMOKE
  • Master the art of the smoky eye. Apply eyeliner at a flat angle along upper and lower lash lines, beginning at the inner corner of eye and working your way out, for a bold, thick line. Blend with smudge tip for a smoldering blur of color.

Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner - null 3.3 5 81 82
Disappointed. I use only BE products. Until now. Now I use another brand for eyeliner. Horrible,HORRIBLE product. I will never use this eyeliner again. 04/11/2015
So sad Loved the old liner and always had compliments! Now the navy is dull and can't get that smooth creamy line like before. I am a die hard BE user and for the first time in years, having to look elsewhere for a liner like BE used to have! I miss Noon, seriously! 04/06/2015
Great Liner! I really love how easy it is to apply and it is perfect for everyday. It is soft and smudges well, so it allows for a more subtle look, which is what I always go for. It does take a few passovers to bring the color out, but that gives me control over how dark I want my line. I have it in many colors, but my favorite is the copper color. It's a very pretty shade with just a bit of sparkle. All the other colors are great too, though! 04/05/2015
Disappointing I received a Round the Clock sample in the mail awhile back and had been using it religiously. I would get tons of compliments, even from strangers, on how black it stayed on my tear line and how long it lasted. Naturally, I was disappointed to see it that it has appeared to be discontinued. I order the Lasting Line thinking it would be similar and received it in the mail yesterday. Tried it out this morning and am so disappointed. I just double checked the color to make sure I ordered it correctly because it comes out more grey than black, and doesn't stick to my inner eye. The only redeeming feature is the "smudge brush" at the end. I am a loyal Bare Escentuals user and will now be forced to shop for eyeliner somewhere else. I would NOT recommend this to a friend. 04/01/2015
Bring back Round the Clock formula! I love the old formula eyeliner Round the Clock, which for my super sensitive eyes, didn't give me a headache or itchy eyes. This formula however burns my eyes all day and gave me terrible headache! Couldn't wait to wash it off. I tried different colors, exchanged them thinking maybe I got a bad one, but nope. Very disappointed! Please make an eyeliner safe for us sensitive girls! 03/31/2015
Best Eyeliner This is the best eyeliner I've ever used. I've always had problems with eyeliner printing and rubbing off or smudging but this stays put - even through a gym workout! 03/04/2015
Much better than Round the Clock I'm really surprised at the negative reviews, but I guess you're either an LL person or an RTC person. I was disappointed when B&B was discontinued and had no choice but to use RTC. I had more trouble with that product, not just with sharpening it (and I even put it in the fridge), but it was just TOO easy to put on. I had no control over it because it glided so easily that I ended up smearing it. And I ended up with raccoon eyes, even using the eyelid primer. I have no problems with the LL, and even tho' I wish they'd still kept the B&B, the LL is a good replacement. It goes on very easily for me. Maybe it was a bad batch for people having trouble putting it on. Anyway, even unsharpened, the liner works for me because I always smudge the line. I like that I can sharpen it if I need a really thin line. I don't have any problems with the LL fading or smearing, but I should mention that I always use the eyelid primer. Both liner and shadow last all day and beyond with the primer as a base. All I can say is that I'm very happy with the LL. 02/28/2015
So Disappointing! I have worn BE for years and been very satisfied. I recently purchased the charcoal Lasting Line eyeliner, and it is neither lasting, nor can I get any kind of line. The product is so hard that it hurts my eyelids when I try to line my eyes. It takes so much tugging and I can't get a decent line, even when it's sharpened. Much too hard! And, sadly, it smears. I won't be buying it again or recommending it to others. 02/25/2015
Not the same as it used to be! This is my second eyeliner purchased after I ran out of my first one. I am going to have to find a different brand altogether because this one BARELY goes on my eyes/waterline. How disappointing! I'm not sure if BE changed their formula for eyeliner, but it's not what it was in the past. 02/24/2015
GREAT I got this product for Christmas in the Macy's package where there was a variety of BE products and I have always had a love for eyeliner. As an asian, it's hard to find good makeup looks because we hardly have a crease (unless you're Michelle Phan and make your own but who has time for that?). But, with eyeliner, it's the best way to make an eye-opening look. Ive tried every kind of eyeliner-- pencil, crayon, gel, liquid, and marker. My favorite BY FAR was the marker-type applicator because it is so easy to apply, but I have ran out and I couldn't find it ANYWHERE. So, I decided to try this one out and IT WAS AMAZING. All of my gel, crayon, and pencil eyeliners always transferred to my lower lash line (props to asian eyes), but this one never does it! I always test throughout the day just to make sure nothing has transferred, and it's never there. So GO BE!! 02/23/2015

I would guess that it's because it's a waterproof product. I've only used on upper lid.

If you are referring to trying to use this liner on your lower water line, then I would say that you are doing nothing wrong as I've had the exact same problem. It does not seem to go on well in that area, and even if you get it on it seems to fade in less than an hour. I'd recommend using a different liner for water lines because this one just doesn't seem to want to go there.

I wish it'd auto-sharpen. The "built-in" sharpener is a tiny useless plastic thing that slides out of the end. It's connected to the smudger.

Unlike the other two who answered this question, I've had the exact opposite experience from them. This liner literally will not go on my lower waterline at all. I have used a lot of other liners for my waterline and have not had an issue with them (so I don't think I am completely doing it wrong haha). Basically the one time I actually got this liner to finally smooth on my lower waterline, it faded in less than an hour. I only use this liner for non-waterline purposes because of this.

I just posted my review on this. THAT is exactly what I love about this product. It is the ONLY eyeliner that EVER stays on my waterline.

The trick is to pull down the lower lid with your finger, blink once or twice to get away any wetness (it needs to be dry to apply), then apply as usual and you're good to go. Works all day for me!

I find this to be VERY creamy, but lasting! I find it to go on smoothly and without much tugging at all. I dont think you would Need to use moisturizer, but you could.

I've applied it both after moisturizer, without moisturizer, AND on top of dry/powdery shadow and it works great.

I do find this liner pretty creamy. Go into the store and try it. I'm 67. The only thing I found is that the sage color isn't very visible unless you layer it on top of a darker color. The best way to know is to try it.
