Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Concealer - null
Used this for years before switching to the new correcting concealer. I give this one only 4 stars because it's not as good at "micro" concealing as the new correcting concealer (good for under eye circles, but not blemishes). In addition, more shades need to be created for this, as I did not have a good shade match with any of these options.
Need to go back to older style package
The newest container is awful. You can't get all product out. This makeup is good but costly, so being able to utilize all of it is important. Also, with the new packaging, there is less makeup as well. Please correct this packaging issue, so that all product can be used.
I am 47 years old and was given Bare Minerals by my mother. It was kit that she ordered and decided to pass on to me and my daughter. I could not believe this concealer, it was the best I have ever tried. It complete covered these small veins around my nose and when I have red spots it is flawless. I love all the Bare Minerals makeup , I am totally impressed , I normally wear Mary Kay but am slowly switching over. I am a breast cancer survivor and used this product when going through chemotherapy too as you start to look a little pasty.
A Bit of Magic
I use this in Bisque as an all over foundation when I don't want to wear a lot of anything. I have some redness and this tones it down. This is my "Go To," concealer when I use my Ready Foundation. I have tried others and I should just stop because this has lasted longer than anything else I purchased.
Not for Fair skin shades -- please add a shade!
Let me start by saying that I truly love almost all Bare Minerals products, been using them for several years, and have seen remarkable changes in the appearance and texture of my 39 year old face. I use the Matte foundation in "Fair", oddly enough combined with the Ready foundation in the lightest shade as well. Not sure if anyone else uses this combo, but the "Fair" shade in the loose foundation is actually a little dark for my skin, so a very little amount of the Ready foundation helps to lighten it up. My skin is very pale, and I happen to like it that way. Embrace who you really are, right? I also use the cleansers, moisturizers and skin treatments, primer, eyeshadow, etc., but I digress.
Anyway, I was looking for a concealer to compliment the foundation I wear on a daily basis. I have very fair skin, but tend to get dark circles under my eyes from genetic predisposition. I also have some redness around the creases of my nose that are not sufficiently covered by the foundation without caking it on. Then I run into the makeup looking heavy and actually accentuating my fine lines especially around my eyes instead of diffusing them. So my search was on to find a concealer that I would hope cover these areas without caking. I found this product and even though it didn't list a "Fair" option, I figured I would give the "Light" shade a shot. Unfortunately this didn't work out so well. While the texture and coverage of the product seemed good (which is why I gave it 3 hearts), and looked as if it would conceal, the shade for my skin tone was completely wrong. It made my eyes look as if the darkness underneath was worse instead of better, and the redness around my nose was replaced with dark patches. I tried to see if putting my fairest foundation over this concealer product would work, but it didn't. The "Light" concealer is way too dark for my face and I have not found a way to make it work for my fair skin tone. I think I would love this product if only it was made for me!
One more caveat -- I can't even enter "FAIR" in reviews that include skin shade! Again my closest choice is "light". If "fair" became a choice for not only this product, but also a criteria for writing a review and selecting your skin shade, I might be able to more accurately judge appropriate products for my skin shade. There is a HUGE difference between "light" and "fair", and I would like to know if colors and shades would work for me without being too dark or overpowering.
To the powers that be -- Thanks for reading, and please please please take more consideration for those of us with the fairest of fair skin tones. I also wouldn't mind if the Original and Matte loose foundations came in a fairer shade than "Fair".
I have 3 concealers now, they are expensive and better of all concealers wich I know, but I forgot about them after the purchase of this product of BareMinerals. This one is the best! This covers the very dark circles under my eyes, it's not dry the skin and does not accentuate the wrinkles. Also I use this for lightening of my upper eyelids and as a basis for the shadows. Moreover it is good hides the pores, also perfect conceals any redness, dark spots and other blemishes of the skin. I happy that I discover this powder-concealer for myself
Best concealer I've found for aging skin - takes a little practice to use it correctly but once you have the hang of it it's wonderful - excellent coverage, no creasing, no smearing. Blends well with foundation, etc.
Now that Bare Minerals has a Matte foundation, they need to make a Matte Bisque concealer to accompany it. It looks odd to only have shimmer under my eyes and over blemishes while the rest of my face is matte. I love this concealer and I love that it's a powder but PLEASE make a Matte version!!!
Concealer that really lasts
I am able to use this concealer ALL day with no touch ups. It is the best I have ever used and does not look clumpy.
Blessing in a Little Jar
I've been using the Honey Bisque for about six years now. My grandmother started my on the product, especially being a cheerleading and dancer it's a great tool to have when going through puberty. My face had instantly cleared up and now I receive compliments daily on how great my make-up looks.
This will be the only concealer I ever use again!!
