Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
The only thing I would change is adding a lighter option to your list. I love this and wear the Bisque but would also like to purchase a lighter option too. I wear it over my lids for an easy way to add non-migrating sun protection to my eyes and a very natural quick shadow or base. I also like to apply it to the area below my eyes in the inner area when I don't get enough sleep. Gives a great natural brightening to any purple shading I get there now and then. I apply it lightly with a brush and just leave it without touching. Works perfectly.
Love it! Covers great, matches skin color perfectly.
I've tried several concealer and most end up looking funny on a blemish. This concealer works great and goes on light and smooth with full coverage. Some concealers look heavy or fake tone, but this concealer blends right in. I use it under my eyes too (with a little all over face primer or complexion rescue). I only use a very small amount to cover but keep the naturally beautiful skin look.
Summer Bisque Concealer
I tried several concealers to cover acne scars, blemishes, and rosacea and the Bare Minerals concealer offered the best results. I keep it with me at all times and even helped out a coworker who was going on her first date. She had a skin reaction on her nose which left a bright red rash. I used Summer Bisque to cover it and it beautifully covered up the redness. FYI...she got a second date! I'm a believer!
I have to say, even though I am just shy of 64, summer bisque is my daily concealer for my eyelids, under the eye as well as just spot concealing.
I find that this works far better for me without enhancing the lines in my face. I believe less is always more, especially as you get older.
I'm not one to use foundation daily, but this, a little eyeliner, brow powder and mascara are my daily go to. It doesn't take more than 5 or 6 minutes to be done.
Of course there are days when I want it all.. BE has the absolute best foundation. I thought I would like the matte better, but the regular powder works best for me.
I find any liquid or cream products, including BE (with the exception of the highlighter, that I use occasionally) enhance the lines on my face. The powder can be applied so lightly that your not filling them (lines) in but rather showing a more youthful look.
I know it's all about preference and that is mine.
This is the BEST!!!!
I only use this under my eyes with a light brush on the delicate skin there. it is wonderful!
Covers blemishes well, covers my dark under eye circles; works awesome for my skin tone, especially with the "Fairly light" original foundation!
Not for Mature Skin
I don't know how I got talked into this one. The idea of needing a concealer that is darker than your skin didn't seem right. And then when I tried it at home, it just clung to my under eye wrinkles and made them pop out more.
I am an older user, 65. When I do my makeup right I can pass for more than a decade younger.
Not with this stuff! Wrinkles and powder are a bad idea. On the upper lid also.
Good coverage concealer!
I received the shade summer bisque in a mystery bag I ordered, and it's a little too light for my tan complexion. However, it does provide good coverage when wanting to conceal. It could also work as an eye brightener if the shade is too light or as an eye shadow if it's too dark. Pretty versatile!
Too dark for very fair skin
This is a really good concealer, and a godsend for those with sensitive and/or super-oily skin. It doesn't melt off like liquid and cream concealers. However, even the lightest shade, Bisque, is much too dark for someone like me who has very fair skin. (To give you an idea, Original Foundation in Fair is barely light enough for my skin; Fairly Light is much too dark.) I wear this as an eyeshadow, as I can't use it as a concealer. It makes a great transition shade for me, so at least it doesn't go to waste.
I have to use 2-3 heavy layers of Original Foundation in Fair to cover spots and discolorations.
If BareEscentuals put this out a couple shades lighter, I would purchase and give 5 stars. I'm sure women at the other end of the spectrum, with very dark skin tones, which appreciate some options as well.
Bare Mineral Powders and Concealers
My first Bare Minerals purchase via online was not a perfect match to my skin tone. However, love the ease of application of their mineral powders without having to spend hours applying make-up.
Best advice to all who have been disappointed, going to their stores beforehand (if possible) and trying on various products to get perfect and personalized color match. Once you have your exact colors, buy online. Live and learn! ;)
