READY Touch Up Veil Broad Spectrum Spf 15 - null
Not the same
I've used Bare Minerals for almost 3 years now & this is the first product I'm disappointed with. I was using the pressed touch up veil in TINTED before they came out with different shades & it was my holy grail, everyday, favorite product. It seems like the formula is completely different. It is chalky, doesn't go on the face as well & there is a lot of fallout. Also, it broke in my purse within a week. I've never had my tinted veil break. I will be searching high & low for the regular tinted shade.
"All Broke Up"
Loved this product when I first got it, was great to put in purse for quick touch ups. Did not last long in the palette, as it broke into many pieces and was then very messy. Rather than throwing away, I've placed into a container to break up into finer pieces to continue to use it in my mineral veils container... hate to waste it. Would not purchase this product again because of the breakage...
Better than loose mineral veil
After reading reviews, I purchased both the light and the medium - I wear the medium beige matte in the loose foundation and the Medium tan in the Ready Made foundation. I like both the light and the medium in this touch up veil, I think the light works best for me but I can get away with the medium as well. I don't use the pouf that came with it, I use a retraceable brush and lightly touch the compact. This is so much easier and less messy than the loose veil. I have not tried this with the loose foundation, only with the ready made foundation. I don't wear the loose foundation much anymore since I switched to the ready made foundation.
Great for touch ups!
I use this Mineral Veil mid afternoon when I need a quick touch up at work. I have oil skin and by 2pm my skin tends to be shiny and my pores look huge. I've always been a fan of Mineral Veil and put it on every morning but to have the READY version is awesome since I can have it in my make up bag to go. I've noticed that when I put this on, it completely takes away the shine and by 9pm I'm still shine-free. What's best is that my pores look smaller. I use a medium beige in the original foundation and bought the medium shade mineral veil. Works great! There is a smell to it that I don't like, that's why I give it 4 stars instead of 5, but other than that it's great!
Best powder ever
This powder is Amazing! I put it on over regular liquid foundation as well as the BM foundation and it makes my face look flawless all day long regardless of the foundation I chose that day. I am usually blotting my face by mid morning, but with this stuff I don't need to blot at all. I go home at the end of the day looking as good as I did when I first put my makeup on in the morning. Will continue to buy this for a long time
Mineral Veil Replacement
I know there are mixed feelings about this, but for me this works better than mineral veil. Mineral Veil would give me that beautiful air-brushed look and was awesome for evening out slight imperfections in my makeup application, but after getting this, I don't think I'm going back. I got the Translucent one so that I could compare to the Original Mineral Veil, and this gives me the same airbrushed appearance as MV, but makes my make up last longer and it seems to be holding moisture in better on my face (so maybe this is best for people with normal to dry skin).
It comes with a little application pad that fits inside the compact so you don't need to dedicate a brush to it, although some people may prefer using a brush. If you do use a brush though, be very careful on portion control - this is thicker than Mineral Veil. I usually just use the pad that came with it and brush it very lightly all over my face.
Planning to order a tinted one soon :)
Tried this since it was almost free with the "Your perfect pick face" I was in love with original ready mineral veil but this offers so much more. The tint is perfect ( get matched don't guess color seems to run a little lighter then what you may think) you aren't stuck with just a light version on veil. Which is great since my summer tan is fading and doesn't lighten up the Ready Foundation that I just applied :( my favorite parts is you have several color options to choose from and once you are done you can just take this with you for touch ups. As to before I'd have to take my Ready foundation, brush and veil. Now when I need a quick touch up I just grab this and good to go. The puffer that's included works well no lugging around multiple products. You get a nice even finish look with the veil and puffer pad. on days were I don't need to get all dolled up I can use the concealer ,this veil and I get nice coverage with the RIGHT shade for ME! Gotta love the convince and time saving it gives you.
I "like" it.
This is not like regular mineral veil. It goes on rather thick/caky if you go too heavy handed. You need the right brush for this also. You don't want to use a buki type brush or even the full flawless face brush. The regular flawless face brush will do or one of the sheer "heavenly" type brushes. A very little bit goes a long way. It doesn't give you the "air brushed" look like regular mineral veil does. It is very much for on the go "touch ups" that you made need during the day. If I was traveling, I'd take all my READY make-up but would also take my loose Mineral Veil (I'm using the Perfecting Light Mineral Veil right now.....can only get it at QVC). I'd recommend it for touch ups like the name of the product says but it is NOT a replacement for my regular Mineral Veil.
Thank you BE!
So glad you guys put some tint in this stuff! The translucent made my face look a bit pale.
Perfect Mineral Veil
I've struggled with finding a good mineral veil for some time. I have light skin, but some olive undertones. The translucent was always far too light and gave me a bit of a white cast, especially around the nose. The tinted worked great in the summer, but was too dark in the winter. I purchased the Ready Mineral Veil in Light and I love it. It's still incredibly lightweight and sheer just like the original, but it doesn't leave the white cast on my face. It does not deposit much color, you definitely need the foundation underneath, but it works as a great setting powder.
