Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara
The sales associate raved about this product but when I tried it at home it did exactly what she claimed it wouldn't: clumpy, spidery lashes that felt heavy and crusty. Will be returning this.
Love and hate this mascara
I absolutely love how this mascara goes on and how it looks on my lashes! The applicator is perfect. It is dark and glossy. But there is a major problem; this mascara just doesn't dry! It smudges and smears throughout the day. I have to continually wipe it off my lids and under my eyes. And even though it easily strays out of place, it is very difficult to get off! Like I said, it doesn't seem to really dry so it is still tacky when I want to take it off. I really love how this mascara looks so I hope a formula is created that produces the same look but not smeary and tacky.
Lash Domination 10 in 1 - Great, but smudges
I bought this product and used it in various scenarios, wedding, all day, at night, during the heat, etc... This works as well as it said, but the only problem is that it smudges under the eye within 2 hours.
This would have gotten 5 stars if it did not smudge so badly. Please think about revising the formula where no smudging occurs.
LOVE the applicator, HATE the formula.
The applicator for this product is probably the best mascara wand I have ever used. It is AWESOME. The formula is clumpy, smudgy, and flakey, though I liked how pigmented it was. So sad.
Leaves much to be desired
This mascara was great the first couple of times I used it. However, after a few uses the formula thickened and little flecks formed in the tube, which causes massive clumping and the undesired "spider leg" lash look. I have to comb my lashes repeatedly with a spoolie brush in order to separate the clumps before it dries. This is not what I expect from a mascara with this price tag! It's a shame because the volume and jet black color were incredible the first few uses. Also, it is very difficult to remove. My usual eye makeup remover was no match for it, despite being powerful enough to remove previously used quality mascara formulations. I am left with raccoon eyes after the first attempt to remove it, which is not good since I try to avoid tugging at or disturbing my eye area as much as possible.
Definitely the best mascara I've ever used.
I bought this because the saleswoman told me it wouldn't clump, wouldn't smudge, and went on smoothly. It was awful. Very, very clumpy, and at the end of the day, I had raccoon eyes. Very difficult to get off. The brush is so thick and clumsy, that you can't' get to the corners of your eyes. I hate it. Going back to my old mascara.
I made the switch!
I received a sample of this mascara with a starter kit about 2 months ago- wow! When my sample ran out I tried to switch back to my drugstore mascara and could not deal. I literally got in the car as soon as my mascara was dry to go pick up the full size Lash Domination. I love that it gives my skimpy lashes volume and length while keeping them soft. They never look crusty or crunchy and they really pop with a curler! Best part is I've been able to scrap my eye makeup remover all together- this mascara washes off with a little coconut oil and a wipe at the end of my cleansing.
My only whisper of a complaint is that it takes a little longer to dry so I have to really wait a while to curl my lashes. Other than that, it has held up in humidity and rain without transferring- a huge deal with my oily skin!
One product at a time bareMinerals is making me switch- this is just the most recent in my growing collection! (Seriously my bathroom looks like a bareEscentuals boutique...)
Normally I do not wear mascara that isn't waterproof, but I LOVE Lash Domination!
I received a sample with an order and tried it and loved the look and feel of the mascara. I'm a redhead, so my lashes are practically invisible, but with this mascara they shine! It took a use or two to get the hang of proper use of the wand, but once I did my lashes looked amazing.. unfortunately I did have problems with raccoon eyes. I found Locked and Coated waterproofing so I ordered it along with a the mascara and haven't had a problem since!
Mascara To Avoid
I bought this product after I went in to a boutique to see if they still had the travel size combo pack of flawless definition and flawless definition volumizing mascaras (which I LOVED). Since they were discontinued, the sales girl highly recommend this as a replacement.
It's among the worst of the mascaras I've tried.
I found both the full size tube and the travel size to have the same issues: the formula is so thick it clumps easily, glues lashes together and goes on too heavy. The more you build up coverage trying to remedy the issues, the more caked on it looks. There is no separation, thickening and lengthening. Also I found that after switching from the pressed powder to the liquid BE foundation, this mascara began to transfer to the skin under my eyes when I squeezed my eyes shut, like during a sneeze. I experimented with not using any liner/shadow/mascara on my lower lashes to see if that was the issue, and it still kept transferring. I thought I was getting sick - no, it was this mascara. If you watch any of the video tutorials when they use this mascara, you can see the issues I'm explaining here - the lashes are glued together, clumpy and too heavy with product. Furthermore I found if something were on my lashes, like a hair, fuzz, etc, when trying to remove the foreign object I would inadvertently glue those lashes together because the formula is still gooey, hours later! (I'm thinking this is why it transferred). I use cleansing cloths at night to remove make-up and it took forever to get all the mascara off.
I've since ditched this formula and went back to the flawless definition.
