Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Concealer - null
I like the consistency of this product, and I like how well it covers. However, I bought the lightest shade and it was TOO DARK. I could MAYBE wear it when I'm at my tannest in summer, but right now, I'm in Denmark and I'm not getting much sun, so I've already paled enough to not be able to wear this for the rest of the season.
My favorite product
This is the only thing I use on my face. I don't need to use much. The reason I use it is because of the way it reflects light. The foundation is too flat and it looks terrible on me. I wish I could buy this in a larger container. I have to buy 2 or 3 at a time.
I.d. Multi-tasking Bisque is a must have concealer
I have used this concealer from I.d. Bare Escentuals for 8 years. I have fair skin and the color Bisque is by far the best concealer match for covering under eye, uneven skin tone, and minor breakout activity. I highly recommend this and never leave home without it.
A powder concealer for real? Yes and it is good!
This version of BE's concealer is really good. It stays on. If you aren't careful, you will find bright spots on your face where you'd applied it. But I have since learned to apply the concealer after I have put on a thin layer of mineral veil and to use the larger concealer brush. The mineral veil makes it easy to spread the concealer.
I still have my (two shades of) BE cream concealer, but, maybe because it is summer now, I can't imagine substituting this one with the cream concealer.
I have light-to-medium colored skin (and use Ready Golden Medium (and Light in the Original), and Summer Bisque is more than light enough for me. I believe there is a lighter version of this concealer, but if that is too dark, then maybe this line doesn't work for you.
IF YOU HAVE FAIR SKIN DO NOT BUY THIS
I BOUGHT THIS ONLINE ALL THE GREAT REVEIWS BUT I WAS SO UPSET I HAVE PALE SKIN AND THIS WAS SOOO DARK I KNOW A LOT OF GIRLS WANT TO LOOK TANNER BUT NOT ME I WANT THE RIGHT COLOR AND THIS WAS 4 SHADES TOOO DARK SO UPSET WASTE OF MONEY I CANT BELIEVE THEY DONT HAVE ANY COLORS FOR FAIR SKINED GIRLS!!!!!!!!
The only makeup I can't do without
I have the starter kit, but the only item I've replaced in four years is this. I am Puerto Rican / Italian with an olive complexion. Which has been turning red as I get older.
I never wore makeup because the one thing I could always count on was a blemish free, olive complexion that tanned fabulously in the summer and glowed in the winter...and then I turned 38. I started getting these little red bumps around my eyes and mouth (BTW, this condition is called perioral dermatitis--after three years my doctor prescribed Metronidazole Gel and it went away in two weeks, but I digress). At 40 I started noticing that my nose would turn bright red at times and I could see capillaries on my face.
This stuff works amazing for me. After I started using it my friends were like "what have you been doing? Your skin looks so great." I use the big blush brush over my nose, and spot brush if I have a blemish. I only wish they had it in a compact so I could keep it in my pocket. I really love this stuff.
That said, they do need to make lighter shades. I use the bisque and my skin is medium toned.
Summer Bisque Concealer
I was skeptical about trying this. I have dark spots just below my cheeks and dark circles under my eyes and some acne scars. I really didn't think this would cover at all. I thought it might do the same thing that all the other products did, like get into my crows feet and little lines and actually "enhance" what I was trying to cover, but BE did it again! I love this concealer!! I use it by it's self sometimes if I'm in a rush and it works!! Hope you never discontinue this, it's amazing to be sure!! Thanks!
Great for covering RED imperfections!
Before I bought this concealer, I debated whether I wanted to get this or the Well-Rested Eye Brightener. I finally decided on this one because I read a few reviews that said that it worked for their red blemishes AND the dark circles under their eyes. Well, this is NOT the case for me. Perhaps it is the olive undertones of my skin, but this concealer makes my dark circles WORSE and brings attention to them. I work nights, so the darkness of my circles can vary quite a bit, but I've never gotten this to successfully cover them while they're at any level of dark. I've tried applying it in varying levels of heaviness, but it goes from not enough to cover/brings attention to them to way too much/caked-on/still doesn't get rid of the dark color. I'll have to break down and buy the Well-Rested Eye Brightener to take care of those!
But this product is WONDERFUL for red blemishes! It covers the broken capillary on my face flawlessly, camouflages my little red pimples perfectly, and masks any mark that is based in the red family!
Remember: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT 100% EFFECTIVE FOR DARK CIRCLES UNDER EYES.
I had purchased this online in summer bisque awhile back, and it did not really match my skin tone (I am of mixed heritage Caucasian, Asian, Spanish) . I have to use mineral makeup on my skin and ONLY mineral makeup due to harsh chemicals making my skin break out. Although the minerals keep your skin healthy, they do not offer any coverage and worst of all - they don't match certain skin tones. I went to the actual shop yesterday, and purchased bisque (the lightest), and it is still too dark. I have some acne scars that are a deep shade of red, and all this concealer does is make them even more visible as it is too orange. All the shades are either too pink or orange. It also does not blend well at all. I suggest trying the well rested concealer instead; it looks like it may actually cover if you are paler, and are looking for a simple spot treatment. However, if you have acne I suggest you just wear the mineral matte foundation and nothing else, because the concealer will just make it look worse.
Bisque Concealer.. not a fan
I switched over to using Bare Minerals about a year and a half ago. The foundation felt amazing on my skin so I have been dying to try their concealer for my blemishes, under eye, and blood vessels that have burst. Unfortunately, I have found the concealer doesn't really cooperate as such- the only thing I can successfully cover is the small red spot where I have a burst blood vessel on my forehead. Even caked on, this concealer does not cover my dark blemish spots when they pop up. When I layer the foundation on as a means of a second concealer, this helps a little but not much more. (I use the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush.) I was disappointed with this product and would suggest to others to consider the new creamy Correcting Concealer as it may provide better coverage (which I have not used but was considering). Alas, I will keep searching for my perfect concealer out there.
