Rated 5 out of 5 by Surprisingly Effective Product I am almost 20, with acne and a face that is pinker than the rest of my body. I'm constantly trying different medications and remedies and I thought this would be nice to try because it wouldn't make me break out more. Surprise! I got a yellow-toned foundation and it easily covers even the most pigmented acne and looks so natural, even my critical, perceptive mom's been complimenting me on my clear skin. It just looks better if you take a nap in it or wear it the whole day, and my acne has actually improved since I started using this product. I've only had it a month, but I don't think I'll go a day without it again. Plus I haven't even made a dent in the amount of product! This is a wonder/miracle foundation for me, and I'm shocked I didn't hear about it until now and there isn't more stuff like this on the market. 06/15/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stunning Ladies, listen up. I am 68 years old and when I go out wearing my Original Foundation, men are still checking me out. And I don't mean the ones my age. I mean men much younger than me. Which is why I am, and will always be, a life-long fan of the Original Foundation (plus, I can mix two shades to get a perfect match). 06/13/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love Love Love My sister suggested this makeup a long time ago, I was afraid of change. I was so use to wearing thick full coverage foundation that made it obvious that I was wearing makeup. I was afraid to touch my face, and I was also nervous to hug people for fear of getting makeup on their clothes. I love this makeup, the coverage, and I am not afraid to touch my own face anymore. It takes much less time to put this makeup on than any other foundations I have ever used. One other thing I love, I have light skin with freckles, and this foundation matched my skin very well. 06/12/2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Feels like I'm not wearing makeup This goes on so smooth and feels like I'm not wearing anything. It makes my skin look flawless but still very natural, no overly madeup. 06/04/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Weightless Foundation I love this foundation. It gives great coverage and finishes without feeling heavy or flaky. I look and feel natural after using this. I like to wear makeup, but what I love about this most is that it looks like I wear very little makeup. It does weigh me down or melt away in the heat like other foundations. 06/01/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best I've found This is the best foudation for my type of skin. I tried the liquid ones but always come back to the original foudation. I love the light feeling that I get when I wear it. 05/22/2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Please Add More Colors!!! I absolutely love the formula of this foundation but PLEASE come out with more colors!! I usually wear Fairly Light (which is too light for me). I have a neutral undertone and have tried the Medium Beige color but it is way too dark for me! I wish that there was a color for light to medium skin tones with a neutral undertone. 05/16/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is better than the best! I started using Bare Minerals years ago and I love the new color Golden Tan. I was using Medium Tan and Tan depending on the time of year - because neither fit me year round. That being said, when I walked into the store and was color matched with Golden Tan, I was more than thrilled! Thanks for such a great product! 05/01/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love love love This product... My gosh. You need this in your life. I absolutely hate liquid foundations, all of them seem to make my face super oily and patchy, even though my skin is not oily at all. They also feel so heavy on your face and I hate that cakey look. I was going and spending 45 plus dollars trying to find a good foundation that didn't look super cakey but still had enough coverage and someone recommended this to me. I never even thought of buying this foundation because it was powder but I thought why not and gave it a try. This stuff is my favorite seriously! It makes my skin look so beautiful and natural and covers up what it needs to cover. It doesn't look cakey. It looks like my skin but better which I love! 04/23/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Been using this product for years I've used the Original foundation in the lightest shade they make for well over 10 years for my very fair skin. It's the only foundation I'll even use anymore. I can't stand the cakey feeling of liquid and cream foundations that are never fair enough for my skin any way. Especially when my skin is extra sensitive, like when I've over exfoliated or I'm breaking out, this foundation has always been very gentle. I think it has great coverage for the cost. 04/19/2016

I absolutely love the way bareMinerals Original Foundation makes my skin look, but it's already fading 4-5 hours later. I use a primer and Mineral Veil after applying the foundation, but that doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to increase the longevity of this makeup?

Answer:
I went on a website and it shows for me that the light beige in the Diorskin is next to the Ivory. The Ivory and the Light Beige are very light colors, buts yours just has some neutral undertones to it compared to the Ivory. Since I do not have a picture of you, my guess would be to try the foundation called Fairly Light in bareMinerals.

Fairly Light gives the description of being for porcelain-to-light skin with neutral undertones. Just like your Diorskin Forever foundation. I hope that helps!

I have extremely dry skin and put my moisturizer on about 15 to 30 min prior to my foundation. I seem to get cakey spots on my face. I noticed that even with out using moisturizer I get the spots, just not as bad. I thought it was because it's a powder, but I had the same issue when using a liquid foundation from cover girl. That was why I switched to bare minerals. What can I do.
P.S. I ordered your bareskin several days ago in hopes that it would be better for me.

Answer:
Is there a reason you wait 15 to 30 minutes between moisturizer and foundation application? It has been my experience that you should put your foundation on immediately after moisturizer. It helps the foundation set and stay put.

I suspect that the bareskin moisturizer will be very helpful for your skin dryness. I love it on my skin. Please try applying your foundation immediately after the bareskin and see if that solves your problem. I'd be interested to know if this helps!

Answer:
Hey Hun,
Gotta say, I feel you. In my experience when you get the Cakey spots from make up, your moisturizer might a) be the wrong type for your kin, or b) you might be using too much. If it option a, then try switching brand or moisturizing types. If it is option b, try applying about a dime sized dollop to your whole face And down your neck. Most people don't think to ply thier moisturizers anywhere but the face, when they should apply under the chin and down the neck as well.
Hope this helps!

With the the foundation that you just ordered make sure you are swirling it on to your face and it the cap because before you may have been layering your skin which would give it a cakey look. Trust me you will love bare minerals. I have been using it for 7 months now and i love it

I am trying to find out what the difference is between Original and Matte foundation?

Answer:
Matte is going to give you more coverage. Think about a matte photo...its flat versus glossy. In no way does the original make you have a glossy look, but using the matte foundation will give you more coverage.

Answer:
original is slightly luminous. it has somewhat of a shimmer. some notice, some don't, but the matte is just that. no shimmer, and seems to absorb more oil without going shiny

Answer:
Original has a natural luminous finish that will enhance those with combo/dry or dry skin types. The matte helps to absorb excess oil, and leave a matte finish instead of a luminous one on the skin. The best way for you to decide is to first consider your skin type. Then visit a boutique, Sephora, or Ulta and allow them to put you in the foundation that best suits your skin needs.

I really want to love this and sometimes it looks good but often it looks heavy in places and very shiny esp on my nose. Or at times I see all of the pores on my nose. What am I doing wrong?

There are a number of questions I need to ask you before I can help give you the advice you seek. Of course, the best answer is for you to visit a boutique and have a BM makeup artist work with you to perfect the look you want. Here are the questions I would ask you. 1. What is your skin care routine and are you consistently doing it? 2. What is your skin type and are you using the right products for it? 3. Have you tried the Prime Time primer underneath the foundation? 4. What brushes are you using to create your look?

Answer:
It depends. Do you want additional coverage or just a setting powder? If additional coverage is wanted you can use the mineral foundation on top of your liquid. If you just want a light setting powder than Mineral Veil is perfect!

I find it hard to get all of the product out of the container with the sifter cover. With the old cover, you could remove it to get the rest of the product out. Is there a way to remove the sifter portion of the container?

Answer:
I have used a needle nose pliers to remove the sifter cover. You can grab the cover from the edges or put it in the sifter holes. It sometimes tears the cover a little so it will come out in pieces. It is difficult to do, but not impossible. Good luck and watch out so you don't spill the product in the process!

Answer:
You can mix in a tiny bit of an All Over Face color to help make the Fairly Light a little darker. Warmth is a great color, but there is also a color called a Touch of Sun. Warmth is darker and the Touch of Sun is more subtle. In the winter, you can mix in some of the Light foundation to make it work for you. The great thing about mixing is that it makes your regular foundation last longer. Good luck!
