Coverage!
I'm actually a little shocked at how many negative reviews this product has. I have had a mostly positive experience and quite enjoy this primer. I have only ever used the newer formula so I can't compare the way some other users have. My skin is on the oily side and this primer keeps it at bay for much longer than without. I put 1-2 pumps on and let it dry for a minute before applying my foundation. I have used both the Original and the Matte versions and have had great results. I find that my coverage is much better when using this primer, especially with Matte, who gives me a bit of trouble occasionally. I top it off with Mineral Veil and my complexion looks beautiful.

YAY!
i finally found a primer that works perfectly for me! its not greasy, solid, and keeps my skin from oil and that awful shine you get mid-day! plus makes my foundation flawless!

I will not be using this product
I am sad to say that this product does not work for me. I have worn the Bare Minerals Original Foundation (loose) for a little over a year now. I love the easy, natural looking coverage. I have very oily skin, and thought that this primer would help the foundation to look even better. I purchased this from an Ulta store and used it twice. Both times, I felt that the foundation did not go on very well on top of the primer (there was not good coverage at all). I have put the foundation on top of a moisturizer in the past and it went on MUCH better. Today I was in an Ulta store in a different town, and got to talking with an employee about my experience. She said many customers have had the same complaint, and she explained that the primer is silicone-based rather than water-based. The primer provides a silky smooth face, but for liquid foundation. With the silicone-based primer and the loose powder foundation - well, she explained that the loose powder just falls off. NO WONDER I kept thinking that the coverage was not that great. I never would have known that if she had not told me. I will not be using this product again.

Formula must have changed - primer is AWFUL now
I have used this primer for awhile now with amazing results. But recently, I went to repurchase a new bottle, and discovered it no longer works. Over time I noticed my skin was no longer smooth, silky, and oil free - it is now a slimy, oily mess. The worst part is, my beloved Bare Minerals make up has lost its consistency and flawless finish! This primer is nothing short of disgusting - and the the formula has DEFINITELY been changed. I'm glad to find these reviews and be assured it's not just me. What a waste, BE! Please fix your product - I'm now going to look through these reviews for alternatives created by other companies.
Don't waste your money on this product - it is a fail and you will be so unhappy using it.

Miss the old formula.
It seems the old formula has been changed. I tried both of the new primers, including this one, and did not like either. Other reviewers are correct when they say this does not feel or work like a primer. Had to go with smash box oil free. Wish they had kept the old formula.

Not even close.
I liked the original primer enough, but but I have combination skin to extremes. My dry patches have oil slicks, don't ask me how it's possible it just is. So when I saw the improved product that promised to control oil and shine, I thought that would make a great product just about perfect! I should have fed my twenty dollars to a goat, at least I would have gotten a laugh. This is not a primer. It's a watery feeling film that makes your skin feel slimy and clogged up, without actually holding on to any powder. You end up using twice as much powder as you should because there's no PRIMING effect from the primer, and it actually makes the shine worse. I was NOT happy with this product, but I like the original and I will be using that in the future.

hard to use
I hate this stuff. I've read a few reviews saying the old formula flaked off their face, which is what mine does, so I don't know if I have the old formula or what, but I just got it a month ago, and I've hated it every day. You have to rub it in very quickly before it dries and starts flaking, and if you rub it in too much, you start rubbing it off. It did nothing for my oil, and it made my makeup look chalky where I didn't rub it in right.

Like using nothing at all...
I love BM and use the foundation, concealer, and bronzer so I figured I would love this product. Wrong! It is like using nothing at all. Definitely not oil control, not sure that works as a primer either. I went with MAC BB cream prep+prime and love it!

Great primer!
I'm a 50 year old woman who has always had oily skin and am now suffering the indignation of peri-menopausal acne! This primer controls the oil (although my nose still gets a bit shiny), keeps my makeup fresh, and does not aggravate my acne! I LOVE it and won't put makeup on without it.

Little oil control
I have tried the old version of this and it would flake off my skin before it even dried. I was excited to try the new formula. I have not yet found any way to keep my skin from getting oily and i was hoping this was it. First of all, the improvements of skin texture and pore minimizing are minimal compared to the regular Prime Time. I had to touch up my powder after an hour. I tried applying less primer and less makeup but the oil didn't change. I thought it may have been due to my (oil control) moisturizer and tried without it. I feel duped.
