Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer in Brightening Pearl
After figuring out how to apply Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer in Brightening Pearl, I found my two ring fingers work best, it works wonders! It really highlights the eye. I like to mix and match my colors daily, and found that this is the perfect foundation for most of my color combinations. It lightens your base color of eye shadow powder, which for me is great! It gives a more luminescent look to the eye. It brightened the corners, and gave a more overall youthful look to the eye. It also helps the eye shadow stay put all day long. I love this primer!
Only bad thing, once it dries, there is no removing it easily. So, make sure it's where you want it, before it dries. It's not hard to remove, if it's still damp.
How did we ever live without this product!
Brightening Pearl is such a soft and delicate color. Eye shadows stay in place with no creasing for easily 18-24 hours. I like to use this color as a shadow and put a soft shade in the crease and poof, I'm ready to go. Don't know how I got along before this product came out. I have slept in this and in the morning, my eyes look like I just put my BE on. Amazing, Ladies you have to try this.
I love this just as much as the original primetime. I think it works just as well, and then it's got some shimmer going on to amp up your color too.
I like to use this under my shadow and it's lighter in color than I expected. It's very silvery and if you like to wear bronze/gold/peach colors, you might need to go a little heavier to compensate. It does do a great job brightening up the corners and eyelid. Your shadow color will stay on all day!
Love this alone as an eye brightener
I bought this to use it as a brightener for the inner corner of my eyes as well as under the brow near the outside of my eye. It works really well for that. It brightens my eye and makes it look more awake. I apply with my finger, but maybe I'll try with a brush as others have mentioned. I really love this product.
Don't get this eyelid primer unless..........
Okay so I am a recent convert to bare minerals and I must say I've Had my eyes on bare minerals since my early teen years the first time I saw an infomercial. As I grew older I never could find that foundation that was just perfect. Finally this year I bought myself a starter kit for my 22nd birthday and loved it immediately! My only complaint, my skin is on the dry side so sometimes the powder doesn't always feel 100 percent smooth after it's been applied, but it looks heavenly and my husband thinks it makes me look even more gorgeous ;-)
I have a few issues with this eyelid primer though. 1st off this pearl eyelid primer leans more towards the cool end of the color spectrum which doesn't go as well with my light Neutral-Warm complexion as I thought it would. If you have Cool skin, this color will look heavenly on you, but is you have a warm complexion I don't recommend this product at all. As for my fellow neutral girls, you may or may not want to get it depending on what clothing/ make up colors you like to wear on a regular basis.
2nd of all, the blending process is tricky so if you don't have the patience to try to figure out how to spread the product properly, then don't bother because all it will do is slow down your morning beauty regiment and give you a headache before you even have your 1st cup of coffee. The reason I have problems with the primer is because I have dry skin so the product dries extremely quickly on my skin. If you have combination to oily skin you may have better luck than I did.
Lastly, the shimmer is beautiful, but it clings to your skin like a virus. The first couple of times I applied this primer, my fingers got bathed in glitter. If nothing else, that is a testament to the incredible staying power of the makeup, but unless you are going out for a night on the town with your girlfriend's, I doubt that you are gonna want that glitter all over your hands. It takes FOREVER to scrub out! I literally washed it twice with an exfoliating hand soap, and I didn't even get most of it out until I washed it a third time!!
Over all the product is adequate and once you finally spread it, it attracts eyeshadow like a magnet including the loose powder shadow and it can be worn with other quality eyeshadows that are from other brands. It is extremely Durable. I'm not gonna lie, this primer definitely has it's undeniable benefits, but for me personally there aren't quite enough so I will probably be taking it back this upcoming week.
Great when you get it to stay on
I try not to squeeze too much out as there isn't all that much in the tube because with the original kind "a little bit goes a long way" but most of the color tends to stay on your fingers. The rep says you can apply with a brush but I don't really want to. Hopefully the eyeshadow primer works better because I bought the 5 or 6 color holiday set. I also like the old container better.
Pearl Eye Shadow Primer
Found this product suggested in a women's magazine for those days that you need eye brightening, but don't necessarily want to wear full eye shadow. It does brighten the eye area a good bit, helping cover the dark, dull areas that my aging eye lids are developing. Like to wear it every day whether I put on full makeup or not.
Useful both on lids and on dark circles
A lot of reviewers are saying that this product is hard to blend, but I find it easier to use than the original primer. Try patting it on the lids, not rubbing. I did not find the sparkle to be overwhelming, probably because I have very fair skin. My eyeshadow color was not brightened or altered by the primer. On my undereyes, I use this primer as a base for Well-rested and it looks perfect on me. This product is a dream come true and has completely changed the look of my eyes (in a very good way!). I would recommend it to anyone with fair skin, particularly if you find the Well-rested to be a little bit too yellowish or gold for your skin.
I love this primer! The skin around my eyes tends to get darker as the day goes on and this primer combats that! I was using the original eyelid primer with cultured pearl eyeshadow to keep my lids from darkening, but this makes it so much easier, just one step. A little does go a long way though. After I blend it on my lids I use the leftover shimmer on my finger and run it under my eyes to help keep my mascara from smudging. Works Great!
