Refillable Buffing Brush 2.2 5 74 74
Wish I'd looked at the reviews first I was excited to get this brush, and was looking forward to being able to use it on the go. The brush is nice and soft, that's the only thing this has going for it. First, I couldn't get the foundation case open so I could directly scoop the powder into the container. No matter what I tried. I even considered taking a hammer to it but that would probably explode powder all over the bathroom. I resorted to shaking it out on paper and folding the paper to act as a funnel into the container. Then, no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the powder to come out through the brush. I shook it, tapped it, re-screwed the container, nothing worked. Testing on a plain white sheet of paper confirmed that it indeed wasn't dispensing. I've tried everything I can think of. Big disappointment and regret for not reading all the reviews first that warned of this very thing. It's the only time I've ever been disappointed in a BE purchase. 06/22/2015
Good, but could use improvements Bought this because I had been a huge fan of this brush when it was the sun protection spf30 product which was incredible. It does seem to work better with the thinner, lighter formulas but I love the travel convenience of this product. Don't discontinue just make it better! 05/31/2015
idn't quite meet expectations I love the design of this brush, except that it isn't as soft as the others in the bare minerals line. In addition, I have to shake it to get the product out and it does work...to a certain extent. The distribution of the product is a small spot in the middle of the brush, so one has to be careful when applying, otherwise the foundation/mineral veil goes on in more concentrated spots and can be uneven. 05/14/2015
Best ever I like that it has a cap so I can take it with 04/16/2015
worst purchase ever This is the first time I have ever been disappointed with a Bare Minerals products. The application brush is amazing itself but the way it distributes the foundation to the brush is terribly uneven...either too much or not enough. 04/15/2015
Worst bare E. Purchase ever :( No wonder it was on such a mega sale.... I filled it up per directions however no matter how hard I try and how long I have left it upside down.... It just doesn't out put much foundation AT ALL!!! :( I've pressed that button a millions times.... Still no go. I LOVE bare minerals/escentual products.... This was by far my least favorite purchase from them. Bummer. 03/21/2015
Best dispenser ever! I really dont understand the bad reviews!! It is easy to use and prevents spilling the product. Its easy to remove the brush to clean it and it is easy to fill! I love it an have 3 of them. One for moneral veil and 2 for my different shades of foundation! If you have a hard time removing the product, remove the brush hrad and shake the minerals into the brush. This is the perfect travel and take along brush! Please dont discontinue it. Would like to see one for the loose blush too! 12/18/2014
Waste of Money!! Had hoped to use while traveling. Tried it at home first... and left it home. Tonight, gave it a second chance. DOES NOT WORK. WASTE OF MONEY. 11/30/2014
OK and convenient The brush has a very convenient design but unfortunately, works better with mineral veil than foundation. And it is not very soft. 08/31/2014
Great idea - Poor design I wanted this to be great. It seemed like the perfect way to keep my mineral foundation neat and easy to use, especially while traveling. But the reality is that the brush head would fall off every time I would shake it to distribute the power on the brush. And shaking didn't bring enough powder to the brush to use properly. The powder compartment was too small to hold all my powder so I still had to keep it elsewhere as well. The brush was beautiful and soft, but if it keeps falling onto the floor, it can't be used. I'm returning mine. :( 07/22/2014

I can't seem to get the powder to come out, and when I shake it as the instructions show, the brush head falls off. Is mine defective? Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

Yes, that's a defect. The brush heads are securely attached on all of my brushes.

I can't. I still have to shake it out onto a piece of paper, use the scoop to put it in the dispenser, or just create a funnel and slide it into the dispenser. There's still some product that's left trapped in the foundation container, but that goes too recycle with the container.

If you flip it over there's a plug on the bottom of the container you can semi-easily pop off with the edge of a dime. Getting the plug back on though is another story. After I thought I had securely popped the plug back on and went to flip my container right-side up, it fell off and all my foundation spilled all over my bathroom counter! I was able to save most of it though. To get the plug securely back on correctly, I had to use a small hammer and tap the edges of the plug back on until I heard 2 loud clicks. The plug should be slightly inside the outter ring of the container, not level with the outter ring, but all edges of the plug should be level to know that you've securely put it back on correctly. It was a nightmare, but I got it back on!

The brush comes off for cleaning/filling your brush so when you activate the powder to fill the brush, be sure to secure the brush so that it doesn't come off. The dial at the bottom of the brush allows you to close it up or buff on your look.

I think that if you look at the bottom of the jar, there is a little dial. You can try using the edge of a dime to twist it open. I hope this is what you meant! :-)

Please make an option for use with your eye shadow. I don't like the mess of opening ( and spilling ) the pots of eye shadow. The brushes are great for the face products. Please modify for eyes!!

Keep your pots of eyeshadow upside down. I do that with all bareminerals products. I wish they would design them that way, so that the retail side is on the bottom etc.

If you mean a sifter for the concealer and eye shadow, I totally agree. There's sifters for the loose blush powder, veil, warmth all over face color and foundation. But for eye shadow and concealer, which are my favorites as well, there's no sifter. The jar tops are great and I never mess up anything, but still...it would be fantastic if I can seal it off like I can with everything else. Ask a BE rep if they plan on making a sifter for eye colors and concealers!

It comes empty. You are supposed to fill it with your shade of foundation. Good luck with that, BTW. I couldn't figure out how to open the foundation case. I just shook it on a piece of paper and funneled it into the container.

It's empty and you fill it with your foundation powder. Reading the other reviews I don't think I'll get it. I'm better off swirling tapping and buffing my heart out. Sephora has $3 sifters where you can put your makeup in and carry it with you instead of taking the source with you. It would be a lot better I think. I just ordered 6 sifters yesterday. Can't wait to get them. I have a home makeup bag, purse bag, swim bag and also a bag I would take for hotel visits. I would rather lose or misplace a $3 item verus my $26-$28 source jar lol.

It comes empty so you can put what you want in it. It comes with a little spoon to help move the powder. Using a paper funnel works well too and is a little faster.

It comes empty with a little scoop. You just put your make up in a little jar that screws into the base of it.

No, there's no product in the brush. When you get it, it will be empty. Then you can put whatever you want to in it. Even mineral veil.
