Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer
Does the trick!
I always have a problem with my eye shadow ending up creasing or up above the crease by lunchtime. This never happens if I use this primer. AWESOME product!
For the practical girl
I am not one for buying needless, excessive makeup 'accessories' when I can use the same thing for many areas of my face. I thought, why would I need ANOTHER primer when I already use the all over face Prime Time? Then summer and sweating happened. I used all of my eyelid primer and I'm in a panic to receive my next order! With the Prime Time Eyelid Primer, my eye makeup stays more vibrantly, all day: no smudging, no melting... yet it's easy to wash off with a little baby shampoo. I'm a pregnant mom with 2 toddlers, so you can believe this product is getting tested to its max.
Don't believe the hype
I HATE this product. I decided to give it and the Pearl version a try after reading all the rave reviews about them. You know, the ones that say it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the way your eyeshadow looks, how it BRIGHTENS YOUR WHOLE FACE and REALLY MAKES YOUR EYES POP? Yeah, not so much. My eyeshadow with the primer on underneath is exactly the same color and sheen as my eyeshadow without it.
Does it work as a primer? Yeah, sure. It's a pain in the butt to apply, and good luck getting it to go on evenly, but once you've finished smearing it onto your eyelids (with your FINGER) your eyeshadow will definitely stick to it. It'll stick so well you can forget about BLENDING entirely.
If you're looking for a difficult-to-apply primer that will give you blotchy-looking, unblendable eyeshadow that doesn't look any brighter or sparklier but will stay in place for hours, LOOK NO FURTHER. If not, don't waste your time or money on this one.
Hello, Bright Eyes!!
This lovely golden primer shadow is a wonderful pick-me-up for those days you don't get quite enough sleep. The shimmery pigment reflects light and really brightens up your whole look. Use it from lash to brow, then layer another shadow over your lid and this becomes primer and brow highlight all in one.
Doubles as an eyeshadow!
This is my favorite BE primer. When it applied, it brightens the eye lid with a light golden sheen. Prevents creasing, smuding, and lasts all day when worn alone as an eyeshadow. When I'm pressed for time and needing a quick, "natural" type look, I apply the Brightening Eyelid Primer with Bronze eyeliner, add a little mascara and I'm out the door. I would recommend applying this with your fingertip. I've tried applying with a brush and it didn't work out. The primer stuck to the brush and didn't spread evenly over my eyelid. This is a squeeze tube, so be gentle...a little goes a long way.
This is the answer for anyone who has trouble with eyecolor. This primer will keep it in tact, and eliminates creasing. Your shadow will last all day, too. It has a pearl sheen, but I haven't noticed it changing the color of my shadow.
I received brightening sunlight in a kit. I love this and often wear it alone as an eye shadow when I am in a hurry. Please make the brightening sunlight to sell on its own. Its a beautiful shiny tan that would be perfect for anyone!
I always thought primers were just a waste of money. I didn't think they really worked. After an hour or two of wearing my eye shadows, they would begin to stick in the creases of my eyes. But I got my make up done at a Bare Escentuals store and they used the Brightening Eyelid Primer. I really liked how smoothly it applied and golden color. The lady convinced me to get one, and I hesitantly did. Five hours later, after hanging out in the sun all day and getting sweaty, my eyes were still perfect! I've been using it everyday now, and by the end of the day, no matter what, my eyes look just like I did them in the morning! One of the best purchases I've made from BE and I will never do my eyes without it again!
Eh...not quite what I was hoping for
I absolutely love the original Eyelid Primer, and I just figured that this was the same but with a bit of sparkle. Holy Golden Stardust, Batman! This gold is waaaayyy too yellow for my fair skin. I was hoping for more of a sparkling beige, and I went with this since the reviews on the pearl shade were terrible. However, I have a feeling that I was mistaken, and should have bought that one instead. Oh well. I'm stuck with this one, so I'll at least use it until it's time to buy another. It's a bit harder to apply evenly versus the original, and you only need the tiniest amount for a subtle look. If you like the yellow-gold tinge you can definitely layer this for bolder effect. Still keeps shadows in place like the original; I just know I won't be buying this shade again.
I really like the eyelid primer. It's great used alone or as a base for eye color and it's not sticky or heavy at all!
