Full Flawless Face Brush
Best brush ever!
This is truly an amazing brush! I use it for my foundation and warmth, couldn't imagine using any other brush now! I love it so much I've ordered 2 more, one for my blush/all-over radiance and then another just as a back up. The one I have now sheds slightly, but not bad, I don't even know if it's possible for a brash not to shed, so the little it does shed isn't bad. I did have some issues after washing it with the brush shampoo though, it seemed to be fluffier and didn't seem to cover my foundation as well like it used to before I washed. I ended up just putting some rubberbands on the bristles for a few days and now it works just like new! Love it!
Shedding is getting annoying
I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. When I first got this brush I loved it, it worked great and I was so impressed with the coverage it provided. As the weeks have gone by the shedding has gotten worse and worse. I am getting 8-15 brush hairs on my face that I have to remove with tweezers of use another brush to sweep them off. If I wipe the brush on my hand it will shed many more into the sink and they get on to my clothes as well.
I am not sure what has changed, I have the BE brush cleanser and use it every 1-2 weeks. I am not sure if I should try buying a new one and see if it does the same thing or move to a different brush completely. I love BE, but am disappointed in this product.
I had such high hopes for this brush when I bought my customizabl starter kit. Honestly, it as a horrible brush. It has shed all over the place and I end up with brush hairs all over my face and counter. Plus, it is extremely irritating on my skin. I apply my foundation with the Heavenly Face Brush(which is amazing!) and my skin will be even, then I apply my warmth with the flawless application brush, and finish with my mineral veil and the full flawless brush which makes my skin red and irritated again. Honestly I just need to get rid of this brush and find something else for blush, highlighter, and mineral veil.
Great at first...
I bought a starter kit with Bare Minerals and I have to say I had my ups and downs with the whole line. I loved the brushes and after learning how to properly use everything in the kit (the DVD honestly isn't as helpful as it could be) I fell in love with Bare Minerals.
I loved this brush for the first month and could see how it would retail alone for that much. HOWEVER... after a month it started shedding HORRIBLY. And after the first time I washed it, I feel like it's ruined. I know how to clean my brushes and I have other high-end brushes that I cleaned on the same day that I cleaned this brush and my other BE brushes. All of them are fine and in good shape, but this brush (and the flawless brush) lost its compact quality (the bristles hold less product now) and it sheds ridiculously now, and the brush end is much "fatter". Also, the hairs feel coarse now. I don't know how this could have happened, but nothing I do now can make it the same.
It's unfortunate that I have to give this brush a low rating, because at first it is the perfect brush for this product, but since it doesn't last long at all, it's just not worth it. Hate to admit it.
*Notice in the photo how it is much more wide than the display photo. It did this over time.
For me, this brush sheds a LOT. I spend more time picking the bristles off of my face than actually applying the makeup. I recommend the angled brush. I believe it's also a Buki brush, but for some reason, it feels so much softer than this brush and doesn't shed nearly as much.
I normally love most BE brushes, but this one began shedding the moment I used it, and hasn't stopped in three years. I use and clean it regularly (I know how to care for my brushes), but it has continued to shed and break off like crazy. Note: this is my second brush of this kind because I thought the first one may be a 'lemon.' Nope. Same result. I would order a different kind.
Could be better
I watched the DVD that came with my Bare Minerals Starter Kit and the swirl tap buff thing just wasn't working for THIS particular brush lol. I like the softness of the bristles, even though they don't hold up TOO well, but it's still a decent brush. I can still grip it well which is nice. I think it's the spaciness of the bristles that gets me. If it was more compact perhaps like the multi-tasking brush or the handy kabuki (which I have yet to try but just ordered it today lol), then it may hold more product therefore less time wasted on the application process. Decent brush, but the bristles need to be stronger, but still keep it soft because it feels good on the face and make the bristles a bit more compact. :-)
Tickles on my face
Since BE make-up is so wonderful, I'm disappointed that I must rate the Full Flawless Application Face Brush with a 1 out of 5. There's nothing worse than feeling a tickle on your nose, then on your chin, then on your fore-head, and any other place on your face after applying your make-up. I wish I could love this brush as much as the other reviewers; however, after I use this brush, I ruin my make-up and my day. I'm constantly trying to remove the little tiny hairs from my face and sometimes I have to rub hard. I'm including a photo of my bathroom sink after rubbing the brush on my hand to remove loose bristles. I'm deeply disappointed with this brush.
Flawed Application Face Brush
I received this brush in my starter kit - within three months, (despite cleaning regularly with the recommended products), the brush was shedding so badly I could no longer use it. Small pieces of brush were getting all over my face, clothing and vanity area. Would have expected better quality from this company.
The Only Brush I Use
This brush provides the perfect amount of coverage for me. Many people rave about the Buki brushes, saying they need a lot of coverage. For me, the Flawless Application Face Brush is just right. The tapered shape holds up well after shampooing and I have only lost about 2 fibers in the entire time I've had it.
For those saying their brush is shedding uncontrollably, I think they may have gotten a fluke. I'm sure they could exchange the brush and the new one would perform perfectly.
