Prime Time Neutralizing Foundation Primer
So far, my favorite BM primer
I was just at the Bare Minerals counter yesterday, and I was going in to try the newer Ready Foundation for the first time. I went in with no makeup on, and she wanted to show me this primer before she applied the makeup. And so I put it on. It feels like it would be really wet/greasy, but once applied all over, it immediately dries and does not leave a residue. I did notice a longer lasting wear of the makeup, but she did tell me the new ready foundation is hydrating so its last-wear is generally longer than the older original formulas. But, I liked the way it felt and it did seem to help with the redness! Did it's job, and I would purchase and keep using.
Not good for oily skin
I have redness on my face and this does a good job at covering that up. It also does a good job making my skin smooth for foundation. But it makes my skin very oily after a few hours of wearing it!
Feels like a Beauty Balm..but it's not
I purchased this primer in a local boutique. I have a bit of redness to my skin so I thought I'd give it a try. I like it..it does not have the feel of the original primers. This one is a bit thinner, so you actually use less, in my opinion. I like the way my foundation looks with it..and I did use less foundation using this product so I give it an A. It is a good alternative...I'd buy it again.
It Does the Job
I did try this in the boutique and liked it. The suggestion of the lady who helped me said it would help me use less foundation, which I was using Matte formula in Golden Fair to hide redness already. I did go into the store specifically looking for this product, but I am going to return it.
Like some others have mentioned, it just doesn't have that luxurious super-silky smooth feel that the regular foundation primer has. I went ahead and got the Redness Remedy to do the job instead of this product.
I tried it in the store thinking I could adjust to the different feel of the primer, but I really don't want to. It's still a good product that does what it says, but I prefer the feel of the original, which I have now purchased in jumbo size :)
I don't have particulary red skin, but sometimes in the colder months it can get a little chapped and red. This is not as silky as the original primer but it is smooth and creamy and reminds me of a bb cream. The yellow color instantly neutrlizes any redness and just like the orginal, my foundation glides on smooth and stays all day. Even if you don't have rosatia or other redness of the skin, this is great for people who live in snowy, cold climates like myself.
New favorite primer!
Normally I go back and forth between the Oil Control Primer and the Brightening Primer, and I like them both, but this primer is my new LOVE! I dont have redness in my skin but I do have uneven tone and scarring. At first I thought this was going to look super yellow on my already yellow-toned skin, but it blends beautifully and really evened out my tone! I LOVE it!!!!
Please sell this in larger sizes!
I love this stuff, it reduces the amount of foundation and concealer I use. There is a trick that I use when applying...don't rub it into your skin completely as you do with the regular Prime Time. I leave some of the color to soak into my skin in the areas that are more splotchy than others. It's great that it doesn't leave a characteristic make-up line behind as other foundations have a tendency to do. I don't imagine this product would be for everyone, and I was skeptical at first, but I'm glad I tried it! Perfect for those of us with yellow undertones in our light to medium skin color. Oh, and it's non-greasy too so it's great for oily skin as well. I'm very happy :)
Not at all what I expected
I ordered this online the minute I saw it. I needed more of the original primer, and I have uneven skin tone and redness, so I thought this product would be perfect. It feels nothing like the original primer. And I love the feeling of the original primer. I feel like it evens out my face as far as any bumps and dry spots. This primer also has color to it, which around my nostrils looks like I picked the wrong color foundation. I will definitely go back to the original primer.
Works ok and does decrease some of the redness but smells funny (and not in a good way). It also doesn't go on as smoothly and feel silky like the the original primer. I will continue to use it because I bought it but would not buy it again. If you are thinking of buying this I would recommend trying it in a boutique first to make sure you like it.
I was never a believer that primer would do anything other than cost me more $ boy o boy was I WRONG! If anything it helps me save $ it keeps my make up in place with less touch up during the day and as a busy working mom I can't always touch up and now I don't have to worry. Helps with my pores also makes them almost disappear and it neutralizes my red marks I get( side effect of medication) if you have invested in BE make up u should greatly consider this also it made a beliver out of me hopefully u too!
