Prime Time Foundation Primer 4.3 5 105 107
Absolute Top of the Charts in the Primer Realm! I just got this a couple of days ago and I'm already in love! The shade of bare minerals foundation I have is not right for me currently so I have been using Loreal Infallible 24 hour matte liquid foundation over it and it has held beautifully. Absolute game changer in regards to how my foundation looks and holds when using this primer. I look forward to seeing the bare minerals powder over it. 02/08/2016
Primer I really like the prime time primer. It goes on smooth and helps my make up stay on all day. However, I prefer the squeeze bottle in the starter packs. The pump fails on 24 oz primer. I've read reviews on your other primers as well and the same complaint has been brought to your attention. I am hesitant to purchase it again because it is a waste of money with so much product left in the bottle. PLEASE change the bottle of this primer. You have a good product with a terrible packaging design 01/29/2016
smoothing The product works. I have pores and dry skin and this worked to cover both. 01/28/2016
Pump Bottle Wastes Product I love the product, but don't like that I cannot purchase the foundation primer in a tube. There is a lot of wasted product that you can't get to in the pump bottle, whereas, the tube allows you to squeeze out every last drop. Please rethink the packaging and provide foundation primer in a tube. 01/20/2016
Keeps makeup looking fresh all day I got a sample of this with my order of other products. I've never used foundation primer before, but decided to try it when I was a brides maid at my friends outdoor wedding. It was amazing! My makeup looked great even though it was hot and humid, and it held up through all the dancing too. My only complaint is that I don't like the way it feels on my skin when I apply, but once the foundation is on top I don't notice it. I'll definitely buy more of this. 01/10/2016
New user I stopped by a boutique and wanted to try some foundation. When the sales girl applied this I was sold. My skin felt amazing...like silk. I can't imagine not using this everyday. I'm completely hook. A must have!! 01/02/2016
Amazing The bare skin foundation is great, but have been using it for a little more than a month and have had a little struggle with getting it to blend so it doesn't end up looking like too much or not enough. Everyday has been a challenge to have it turn out perfect. Finally decided to give this product a try. BEST decision ever. Amazing how easy application of foundation went on today and looked amazing all day. Didn't wanna wash my face tonight cause it looked so good still even after hours upon hours of waiting tables. This product is the key to the success of the look we all strive to achieve with our make up. Thank you so much!! Love love love it. Will be purchasing constantly as I never want to be without it to begin my routine. Thank you!!! 11/28/2015
Perfect Lightweight, glides on smoothly, smooth finish, makeup does beautifully with it! 10/11/2015
Before the make up One of my favorite products. Being a "woman of a certain age" I really appreciate how it prepares my skin for the next part of my regimen. 09/16/2015
Love this but... This product does make your skin feel velvety soft, and it makes the foundation look smoother. The only negative thing I have to say about this is that it does not always pump and I have to open the bottle and take some of the product off the pump wand, sometimes I even have to run the pump around the inside of the container to get enough to apply. Even after I have shaken the bottle down the pumper will work - for a while. This is very frustrating! Also because I like this product I purchased it again, and the same thing happened. Makes me wonder how much product (and $) I am wasting. There's got to be a better solution! It's a great product so please fix it! 09/13/2015

Yes!! It's wonderful. I still use a moisturizer before the primer, but allow to dry completely. The primer is used very sparingly with an upward motion as it dries. It tightens your pores and seems to lift & tighten. Do small areas at a time. You'll love it!!

I do. I put the moisturizer (mixed with a little Mineralixirs) and let it dry. If I am going to work I usually go lay out my clothes, come back and put the primer on. You need so little of all of the BE products that anything more than the size of an eraser is too much. It doesn't take long for the moisturizer to absorb so it isn't like you are waiting forever to move onto Primer.

I still use moisturizer, and let it dry before putting on the primer. Some people don't feel the need for the moisturizer when using it though, because it seems pretty hydrating.

In the AM before you put on makeup - cleanser, moisturize, then use the primer. THEN put make up on. I hope this helps! I have found all three are needed to prevent breakouts (for myself)

Unless you have great, dewy skin, yes, use both. Use moisturizer first & give it a minute or two to dry. Then primer. The primer helps seal in the moisturizer & give you a smooth, clean slate for your makeup.

Try Purely Nourishing Cream. The primers aren't moisturizers. Use on clean skin with nothing else. Let dry a bit before adding anything else. Better yet, use it and don't put anything else on for the day. That will test whether it will make you break out. If you don't break out from it, start adding primer & foundation.

What helped me the most with my skin with regaining moisture was the night treatment powder. It helps hold in your night time moisturizer and restore balance to your skin. I use the skin cell renewal prior to the normal moisturizer as my night time care. You may also want to look at your cleanser as well since it could be stripping the natural oils in your skin.

Hi Wanda10956,
I have very sensitive and extremely acne-prone skin, and using the original prime time foundation primer has never broken me out. It by no means alleviates the oiliness on my face, but it does provide a solid base for the foundation to cling to. If you are worried about breaking out, I suggest that you visit a local boutique, Sephora, or Ulta (or anywhere that sells BE products, really), and ask them to test the primer on you. You should be able to tell if your skin likes it or not after a few hours.
Best of luck!

I also have oily skin. The prime time foundation primer is the best primer I have found, and the those who say the skin rev-er upper is best for oily skin are erroneous.

I have oily, acne-prone skin and so far, after two week of use, I have yet to see any clogging or increased acne spots. This does help a lot in controlling oil and if you tend to get "shiny" by mid-day like I did, this eliminates that!

I have used it as eye primer. It doesn't work as well as the eye primer but it does work. Honestly I like the cream shadow 5 in 1 even better than the eye primer. I hate most cream shadows but the 5 in 1 goes on so light and really helps the eye color blend.

A:
You will most likely be more satisfied using a separate eyelid primer. The skin on you eyelids tend to allow for more oil buildup, and when we are constantly opening and closing our eyes, we are increasing the release of those oils. The eyelid primer has a different texture that really cuts down the oil/moisture buildup that the foundation primers do not have. I recommend also putting a tiny amount of eyelid primer under your bottom lashline (before concealers) if you plan to line your bottom lash line. It reduces that raccoon look that occurs over time. Hope this was helpful!

Skin Rev-er Upper is not a makeup primer so it won't work like one. I personally avoid the eye area when I apply this product because it contains both salycilic and glycolic acids - too harsh for the delicate eye area.

It would depend on your skin type. All primers work fine under any BM foundations. I've personally used original, brightening, oil control, and the new BB Primer-cream. I have oily skin and the new BB Primer-cream has worked the best for me under the Ready Foundation.

Most likely, you should use the oil control, but it really depends on your skin type. If the original primer hasn't caused any problems with your skin so far, and you don't have any issues with redness, then use the original.

When I first tried bareMinerals, I was told prime time was NOT gluten free. Recently, I was told by CRS that it is. I'd like to know if prime time IS now gluten free and whether this is a change from a previous formula. Can I use prime time I purchased in an introduction kit about 6 months ago? I am gluten intolerant.

I can't say enough good things about bareMinerals for gluten free people. Thank you!

It says 1 oz. in the picture, but I was wondering if this is correct for the regular size primer. I am contemplating whether to get the kit that comes with the mini prime time (.5 oz.), a small mineral veil, and a mini flawless application brush or just the regular size prime time.

The regular size Prime Time is 1 oz. Just a dab of this product goes a long way, so a .5oz Prime Time should last you a while even if you use it daily as a regular part of your Bare Minerals routine. Either way, they are both a great value.
