MATTE Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - null
If You have oily skin like me, matte foundation keeps it in check, and also prevents shine. Buff it on for beautiful coverage after the foundation primer for the best results. I have been using this foundation for a few months and even though it comes in a small container, I am still using my first one! I advise using it sparingly to keep it from running out sooner. If I had to say something negative about this product, I would probably point to it's duration throughout the day. Though it has amazing coverage, I have to reapply it once a day with the concealer. It "melts" off oily skin a little bit after a few hours. It melts enough to show blemishes. I hope this helped!
try it out in person before purchasing
alright so i saw this and i'm like oh my god cool i love bare minerals and i could totally use some new foundation. i had used clinique and it worked fantastically but after a few months it got old (makeup has no expiration date but it really kinda does), insanely oily and made my skin break out. anyway before ordering this online i decided to go to sephora and try it out, to make sure it matched my skin. i have extremely fair skin and most makeup lines don't go light enough. their fairest tone looked bright yellow on my skin. I'm so happy i didn't buy this because i would've looked like a clown. always try it out at sephora, you never know what it really looks like. so i ended up buying some really expensive much nicer makeup that sephora recommended
Best foundation for African American skin
I absolutely love this product. Before this, I hadn't found a foundation that looked good on my dark combination skin. I've loved it ever since!
Just what I was looking for
I just started my hunt for a dependable foundation for my upcoming wedding. I was looking for something with great coverage, that would be photo friendly, and would help cut back on the shine throughout the day. This foundation is exactly what I was looking for. The coverage is light but very easy to build upon. A little goes a long way and so far I love the matte coverage that still allows a healthy glow to come through. The only thing I think I need to tweak is my color. I was color matched in the store at medium but knew from previous experience it comes off too dark on my face so I went with light. Light works great now in December, but for an Oct wedding I am hoping to have a little more color so will probably have to go up a shade when the sun comes back!
Great if you can find you match =-(
I love B.M. Products but have got to say as a black woman with yellow undertones (I have not a stich of read unless my skin is flushed or irritated) I have twice left the store feeling great to get home and see I look like an Ompa Loompa I have such a ruddy red tone to my skin =-) I initally was given golden deep which sounded like it shold be "yello" based. I thought it looked pretty goos until I saw some pictures and was horrified! So I went back and this time a woman of color helped me...she picked medium deep....she said the person before was FIVE shades off! But comparing the two on the color chart they are almost identical...I am so fed up I don't know what to do =-(
shine free and fresh!
I love this foundation! I tried the original one at first but I was a shiny mess, so I tried the matte and look so much better. I use the mineral veil as a primer, then I apply the matte foundation. I had to get used to it becuase it is not as much coverage as a liquid foundation but its easy to layer concealer using the max concealer brush. I use the foundation as a concealer and also bisque and well rested as concealers too. After I apply faux tan and blush, I apply another layer of mineral veil, concentrating on my t-zone. It keeps me shine free for hours, and I have extremely oily skin!
It is a lot better than the original formula (which made me super rashy). Not crazy about it having Zinc Oxide and Silica (rating of 3 and 6 on EWG, respectively). Didn't make me break out, however even the lightest color wasn't quite right. Used this for about a year but have moved on to another brand that has my shade.
PERFECT FOR OILY SKIN
I am a teenager, and I deal with really oily skin. I used to use the BareMinerals Original Foundation, which gave perfect coverage. However, it made my face too oily and dewy. Now that I am using the Matte Foundation, my skin is literally 10x less oily looking throughout the day. I also use oil absorbing wipes twice a day, which really help. So, if you are a teen like me, who deals with oily skin throughout the day, I swear that this will help! Stop looking for other solutions....this works! Even though it is more expensive, it was worth every dollar. BareMinerals is my life saver!
worst foundation iv ever used
iv always used a liquid foundation and with me being a tan skin colour always found it quite hard to find a great match, this one was the worst, i was tested in store for skin match on neck, looked ok in the lighting of the store i taken home (with sample i used) was a good job because its awfull, very patchy even when blended with correct brushes, when using the foundation as a concealer it made dark areas on my face, better of not using it, ill be taken the un-used items back today not happy at all iv tried 3 attepts to see if it made a differents flowing the DVD given,
think it would be a good product if you are pale skin tone with no blemishes
When I first started using bareMinerals foundation, I used ORIGINAL and I dealt with my skin looking a little too luminous/dewey. I like looking a little bit luminous, but with my oily skin it was too much, and did nothing to help with my large pores. Someone at the store mentioned that I should try using the MATTE foundation, since it was supposed to help with the oiliness and pores issues, and she was completely right! It has really helped reduce the look of my pores, and even though I still have some oiliness, it doesn't look too much, like it did with the ORIGINAL. Overall, I am really glad that I made the switch, and I recommend to any oil-prone bareMinerals gals to try using the MATTE.
Tip: To achieve a really natural-looking finish, take the time to buff one several layers using less product, to really buff it into the skin. It does take a little more time, but is worth it when you're makeup still looks flawless (and not cakey) at the end of the day.
