Q & A

Flawless Application Face Brush 3.4 5 33 33
Great for applying bronzer! I use this brush to apply my Ready bronzer and it works great! 08/09/2015
It's OK Got this brush when I started using Bare Minerals about 2 years ago. When I bought the brush, the sales rep told me I can use baby shampoo to clean it, which I have been for 2 years. I lay my brushes flat to dry and do not scrub or do anything harsh with them. The past few months the hairs have been shedding everywhere (my face, my counter, in the makeup). Eventually, the entire head of the brush came off the handle. Had to throw it away. I called the company and they basically told me it's normal wear and tear and my warranty is up; time to get a new one. I would think a $20 brush would last more than 2 years if taken care of, but I guess I'm wrong. Not sure why anyone would spend $20 on a makeup brush that isn't long lasting when you can get one at CVS for cheaper than also isn't long lasting. Just my opinion. While it was in tact, it did work well though. Good coverage, not cakey. 08/03/2015
This brush is horrible! After just a couple uses this brush started shedding and breaking off all over my face and body. I have continued to use it though and it has only gotten worse. I hope to find another brush with better quality. I DO NOT recommend purchasing this brush!! 06/05/2015
Falls Apart I love Bare Minerals but I will never buy their brushes again. I've only had this brush a few weeks and it's bristles fall out so badly that they end up everywhere, including getting into my eyes. VERY poor quality for the price. VERY disappointed. 01/20/2015
going bald!! all the bristles fall off every time i use the brush have been using BM make up for years and i never encounter a problem so bad like this brush. after applying make up i find ALOT of the brush's bristles all over the place. BAD BAD BAD!!! 01/14/2015
GREAT FOUNDATION BRUSH I use this brush along with my BE loose mineral matte foundation and it really gives me a flawless look. Some people complain about the brush texture, but I think the brush is great. It works really well with the original and matte foundations. Great product! 12/19/2014
Great for Mineral Veil I use this brush for the original mineral veil. I wouldn't use it as a foundation brush because it is not firm and doesn't seem like it would provide good coverage. Love it though! 12/08/2014
I wouldn't buy it, honestly. This brush came with my foundation starter kit, which is fine, but I probably wouldn't purchase another. The bristles are a bit long, and they could be a bit softer in my opinion (as you are buffing, you skin can get a little sting from this brush). Someone on here said that they needed a hair removal roller after using this because it shed so bad, and I remember thinking, "Oh god, they are so exaggerative." No, no they really aren't exaggerating at all! I was in shock at how many hairs were all over my shirt after my first few uses. Not sure if it is going to eventually stop shedding so much, but not sure if I will keep using it as my main buffing brush, either. Overall, not something I would recommend unless it was free or heavily discounted. 07/10/2014
Great for Mineral Veil I have used this brush for applying both READY touch up veil and the loose powder mineral veil. It works great for both. The bristles are soft, but it does seem to shed a little bit. 07/09/2014
Favorite Face Brush This is my favorite brush because it is so versatile. It came with my Complexion Essentials Get-Started Kit, and I'm so glad for it. I use this brush mostly to apply Pure Radiance over my cheeks and brow bone, sometimes using it on the bridge-of-nose, forehead and chin area. I have also used it to apply Mineral Veil over my entire face, but I like to have one brush dedicated per product so colors don't get mixed up. It provides light-to-medium coverage. I don't own many BE brushes (I also have the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush & the Heavenly Face Brush), but it is the softest of those three and definitely way softer than the drugstore and other online retailer brushes that I've owned. I've washed it twice with the BE Brush Conditioning Shampoo. It cleans and reshapes easily, and I haven't had any shedding issues. 07/01/2014

I don't think this brush would do a good job with liquid foundation. It is thinner and fluffier with less structured shape to it.

I would suggest using the brush made for the new bare minerals liquid foundation the perfecting face brush, it will help give you those amazing results your looking for , where as the flawless face brush is more for the swirl tap buff application of the creamy powders.

The full flawless brush will give you more coverage. I use it on days when my skin isn't looking so hot, but I use the regular one most often.

The difference is the amount of coverage. The Full Flawless brush is thicker than this so it will put more makeup on your face. I like using the Full Flawless for foundation and the Flawless for Warmth or All Over face colors, which are products that you want to lighter coverage that you can add subtly or build on.

I wouldn't say it's necessary to have both if you're careful with the amount of make up you put on the brush at one time, but for an easy, fast routine in the morning (if budget allows), I've found it's really helpful to have one brush dedicated to each step of applying makeup, so I do use both.

Flawless application is for light to medium coverage and Full Flawless is for medium to full coverage.

I love this one because it is enclosed in the case when not in use. I can actually load it up, seal it, and carry it in my bag for touch-ups on especially long days! I use both: one for foundation and one for mineral veil. I love them both, but espcially enjoy the retractable one.

I have both brushes (from my starter kit). They're both made with goat hair, but the full flawless application face brush is more dense in goat hair, so it picks up more powder and gives you a medium-to-full coverage range. The flawless application face brush is less dense in goat hair so it picks up less powder and gives you a light-to-medium coverage range.

I use the Flawless Radiance brush to apply my mineral veil over my foundation. It gives me a really nice sheer wash of mineral veil, which is what I want. The goat hair of the Flawless Radiance brush is longer in length and less dense, so it picks up a lighter amount of powder.

I like using my Buff-Go Brush for the mineral veil for touch ups during the day or for a weekender. The Flawless Application Face Brush I like to use that for my Warmth. Soft Focus All Over Face Brush is one that I use for mineral veil when I'm putting on my makeup for the first time for the day. Feels great!

This brush probably provides too heavy coverage for mineral veil. It gives a very concentrated coverage.
