Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner - null
OK but not Awesome!
After having used the Big & Bright eyeliner in Intense Black for so long I was very disappointed in this new version! My old one ran out and I went to repurchase but it was no where to be found locally. This version replaced it, while it is doable you have to be careful applying as it smears quite easily. I can't speak yet on longevity but I know I could put on the old version in one easy swipe and it would last all day till bed!!
Pleeeeaassee Leslie, bring back the original.....as the saying goes....."IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT"!!!
BE has gone totally backwards with this product. I was so excited when you came out with the retractible eyeliner pencils. 2 things horribly wrong,
1. It has to be sharpened!
2. It is waterproof. I react to ANYTHING waterproof.
I was using another brand of eyeliner until you came out with the other. I guess I will have to go back to them.
I was very excited about the new line of eyelniers coming out. However, I am so dissapointed. 1. It goes on VERY dark. 2. It irritaed my eyes...the morning after wearing this liner my eyes were red and lids were puffy. 3. The pencil is too soft! Does not keep shape after sharpening.
Talk about round the clock!
Just started using Bare Minerals, love everything so far until this pencil. It is truly waterproof and LONG WEARING. I can barely remove it with eye makeup remover. Too intense for my eyes, color is also too intense, I purchased 9 pm because I normally use a dark brown. If it was smudgeable, which it is not, that would be nice. It sharpened okay but could not get a pointed end so goes on kind of fat for my tastes. Back to the drawing board. I think I will try the powder liners next.
Worst Eyeliner EVER
My sister had the original plum eye liner before this one, and got me into Bare Minerals. Let me start by saying I LOVE Bare Minerals overall. It has done wonders for my skin and I am always trying to add new products.
I was really excited when they finally released these new waterproof liners. However, I have been extremely disappointed in them. They go on VERY heavy, and no amount of sharpening actually creates a point that lasts longer than one application. By the time I move to the second eye, the line is huge again. It's much darker than the original plum color liner too, looks like I'm putting on heavy black liner to go out on the town. I use this very sparingly now and would not buy another Round the Clock liner again.
I do like the waterproof factor, but would really like to see this in a less soft pencil that allows for everyday applications, meaning smaller lines so at work I don't look like I'm prepping for a night of clubbing. I might try putting them in the freezer before applying in the future.
WORST MISTAKE IN EYELINER
Bare Minerals discontinued the other pencil eyeliner that I LOVED - it was retractable and never needed sharpening.
I bought the last two of the Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner at ULTA, thinking it was the same. DO NOT BUY THIS EYELINER - it is very difficult to sharpen - when you try the liner is so soft it never sharpens or mashes into a blob on the end; the pencil is too fat to get close to the eye and line evenly, it is harder to hold.
I don't know why BE discontinues good products that are selling like hotcakes. Please bring back the old, retractable, never need sharpening eyeliner.
I am taking these two back to ULTA today as they are TERRIBLE!!!!
Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner - 8 PM
I was told about this product coming out by one of my favorite BE Boutique Reps. So, hence, when it came out I went and bought one.
PROS: I love the long lasting wear without smudging.
CONS: I was disappointed in the texture of the liner. It was too mushy and very difficult to sharpen. And when applying it, it also clumps up on my eyelashes which I have to clean after application.
Not a huge fan... :(
I received this in the mail today and immediately gave it a try. There are two things going for this eyeliner: it's waterproof and it applies easily (albeit a bit clumpy). That's it as far as perks go, I'm afraid. I'm even more saddened to have learned that BE has discontinued their line of "Big & Bold" eyeliner and all the fabulous colors that came with it.
The twist up stick (giving you the most eyeliner for your buck)? Gone! The convenient built-in sharpener on the end? Gone! You have to use a pencil sharpener to sharpen this eyeliner (which I absolutely loathe). The nifty built-in smudge tip? Gone! These very features were exactly what had me coming back for more, more, MORE Big & Bold eyeliner as they're a bit hard to find in drugstore brands (esp. the sharpener & smudge tip). All gone!
I've noticed I'm not the only reviewer who feels this way. It is my sincere hope that BE listens to their customers and brings back the Big & Bold eyeliner collection. If they still want to sell Round the Clock, great, but at least give us the choice!
In a perfect world, BE would sell Big & Bold as it used to be, but in "regular" and "waterproof" formulas. Until then, I'll be buying a drugstore brand that is as close to the Big & Bold (perks) as I can get. Sorry, but this is a step down for me. :(
Not for Sensitive Eyes...
I loved the Big and Bright line, especially because it didn't irritate my eyes. After a day wearing the Round the Clock liner, my eyes were red and watery. It took my eyes hours to calm down after I took it off.
The Round the Clock line is also *very* intense. It goes on like a liquid line and it's not possible to smudge it. Not a good look for me, who prefers subtle makeup but doesn't have time to do shadow liner in the morning. Please bring back Big and Bright! In the meantime, I'll be switching brands to get the look/sensitivity I need.
I am saddened about the loss of the Big and Bright liner. I don't care for this new liner - it's too soft and there is no sharpener...it doesn't keep its shape...please bring the old one back!
