Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Concealer - null
Formula Color Changed Without Warning, Now The Lightest Shade is Too Dark
I've been using Bisque for years. Now the color is different. I even got a replacement because I was convinced that it must have been labeled wrong. It wasn't. The second container was too dark also. I use Fairly Light foundation and the Bisque (the lightest color available in a concealer) is now too dark. It actually GIVES me dark circles under my eyes. It's darker than my foundation! So sad! Because there is no lighter option. I could try going for the very lightest foundation shade and use it as a concealer. I have the Well-Rested for eyes but it is very yellow and not a good choice for touch-ups all over the face. Photo shows my foundation color on the left, and the two samples of Bisque next to it.
WE NEED FAIR BISQUE! We are FAIR not light skinned!
Why is it that darker skin tones have multiple choices for bisque, but regular bisque, which is LIGHT is supposed to be good enough for fair skin tones‽ if I use it alone I have dark splotches all over my face because it is 2 shades darker than my skin tone. I have to buy a light cream or off white eyeshadow and make my own fair bisque which is costly and never consistent. I have used be since 2003 and have been BEGGING since 2005 for a fair version of bisque. With the plethora of shade options they've added you'd think Fair Bisque would've been one of them but no! PLEASE I know I'm not alone here and that they're are many others with Snow White skin needing thus product last year. Please give us the fair bisque we've been very patiently waiting for. Wow, Fair isn't even an option for my skin tone in the drop down menu of this form!
I've been using this since I was a freshman in high school! It's truly timeless and works great! I've only had one problem with this product and that's when the temperature are very high, it will melt right off, but even then it doesn't clog my pores! Great product overall, I recommend this to many of my friends and family!
No "fair" or even "light" available now
I last used this several years ago and the lightest shade sold ( sadly, I don't recall the name ) was perfect for me. While I have very dark red-brown hair I have the palest skin, porcelain is the term I usually hear, and not a freckle in sight. When returning here to purchase the concealer I was troubled by both the name, "Bisque" and the photo. It seemed *so* dark, but as it was the only color recommended I decided it was my faulty memory and/or my faulty screen. Not the case; I ordered 3 jars and they will be on the way back. I did try it, but even the lightest application had me looking like an orange-ish clown. With a dirty face. And too much make-up :( I'm once again on the hunt for a different brand with a shade for truly pale people. LOREAL made one I like called True Match Naturale, in 2 light shades, but I can no longer find theirs, either. I've always used just a bit of concealer and a light brushing of Mineral Veil which worked wonderfully, even at my age (64), so perhaps before I return all 3 jars I'll try mixing something and see if I can make this usable.
Pretty good concealer
This concealer goes a long way, covers well, feels silky and is non-irritating. I use the "Bisque" shade and am a "Medium" on my foundation shade. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have used something I like better: the Correcting Concealer by Bare Minerals. I know that some people apply concealer after foundation too, but I don't want to do it twice. It seems as though a bit gets brushed away when applying your foundation, but I don't have that problem with the Correcting Concealer. Overall, it is still far better than any other brands I've ever tried.
I have dark circles and dry under eyes and have been using the correcting concealer, but throughout the day the concealer would settle into my fine lines and look really bad by the time I got home. Embarrassingly bad. I didn't think I would find anything that wouldn't settle into my lines and not irritate my under eye skin until I found this! A little goes a long way and it stays on all day! Highly recommend for under eyes!
Works well but colors are limited
Please make this in a lighter color, as others have said!
I like how this product covers and blends but unfortunately there isn't a shade light enough for me. I need a light cool tone and I have no problem finding that in the Bare Minerals foundations which I have worn for years and love, so I don't understand why they don't make this concealer in matching tones, including lighter tones. I tried the creamy concealer (Correcting Concealer) in Light 1 and while that was a little better color-wise than the lightest color in this product (which is Bisque), I couldn't wear it under my eyes because it turned into numerous fine lines/creases within an hour or two.
I've been using bisque for maybe 8 years +? and I have yet to find anything that covers as well and as light as the Bare Minerals bisque. I even remember when this was just a late night infomercial product. My skin doesn't get greasy afterwards like it does with other products. It covers for hours and leaves my skin feeling soft. I don't EVER break out when I am wearing this. I only wish it were bigger because I apply this to my whole face and run out so very easily! The Bare Minerals foundation just doesn't cut it with coverage. I recently found out I had rosacea and this is a+++.
Doubles as a Foundation
I loved this product, but the color has changed. It used to match my skin tone exactly. now it's too dark and too pink. It worked for me because I have a number of spider vein clusters on my face, and this concealer covered them well as it matched my skin tone very well.
I hope BE puts it back the way it was, I would be very happy
Love it! Doubles as foundation
I have been using Bisque for years now. I have very light skin with pink undertones but I have red blotches, freckles and a few scars. The Bisque works great at covering imperfections and I now use it as my foundation. It is lightweight and feels great. Plus the container is smaller and fits nicely in my makeup bag!
