Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener
I LOVE the well rested cc eye primer stick and hoped I'd like this as much since I can't get the stick anymore. Unfortunately this isn't even in the same city let alone the same ball park. It's sticky where as the stick was smooth, creamy and blended beautifully. The color is too light where the stick was just right for brightness without that "someone doesn't know how to blend" look. All in all, I won't be buying this product again as this "new" formulation doesn't work for me. PLEASE bring back the stick!!!
Well-Rested Eye Brightener
Being a "senior citizen" I bought this to brighten the inner corners and under my eyes. I know it's not a concealer, but I use it over my concealer to help with the dark circles. I love how it brings out my eyes in the inner corners, so I do look "well-rested." Some reviewers found it to be sticky, but I did not find this at all. You have to use it sparingly, otherwise, I guess that is what would make it sticky. To me, the only downfall is that it does not last that long if you plan on using it every day. Can Bare Escentuals make it bigger???
Not for me
I bought this in a set with some concealer. I've never used a highlighter before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This product is very subtle, but heavy and sticky. I used a bit on my eyelids, and was very aware of the product for the rest of the day. The brush is no good either: it'll leave a glob of product in the beginning and next to nothing afterward. Using it to blend is imprecise and I always end up using my finger.
Sticky and uncomfortable
I used this product, and it was uncomfortably sticky. It had way too much luminosity/shimmer for me. Certainly would not recommend.
Better than Botox!
This product adds that little POP of brightener to those key places where you need a "lift"! It was recommended to me by a sales specialist in the store after I shared with her my challenges with my mid 40's complexion. I did read a few of the other reviews - this is not a concealer; it is a brightener & is used very sparingly. From the reviews, it appears to not have the effect on younger skin as I did on mine & the other middle age beauties out there. Definitely worth trying - AMAZING glow!
I absolutely adore this product! It brightens and lightens and really does make my skin GLOW!
You only need a little bit of the product, which is really nice. I love products where a little goes a long way.
I apply it to my cheekbones, inner eyes, eyebrows, around my lips, down the center of my nose, chin, and my cupids bow. This will forever be part of my daily makeup routine.
In the past I've used ELF's imitation of this product and it does not even compare. This is a must have!
Don't Do It!!! It does nothing...get the "Stroke of Light" instead!
Sorry, but I just don't get it. It's so thin, even used purely for a bit of light reflection, certainly not a concealer...it's not even buildable. I tried four layers on the back of my hand...noth. I hate spending good money on something and not being able to get some kind of use out of it, but I think I'm giving up on this one and tossing it.
Great pick me up -
This works really well at just adding a bit of light to either dark circles or puffy eyes so they are not as noticeable. It is not a concealer so it wont hide anything - but if you are in a rush and have no time for the full make-up effect - it's rather clear in color - almost nude but adds just enough highlight to brighten under eye or in the corner of the lid to make those little flaws less noticeable. I sometimes do not have time for make up - but this under my eyes is just enough to make the unflattering puffy or dark circles less noticeable.
I don't get it, this product does nothing except make your skin moist. No coverage, no brightening effect.
I agree with just about all of the other reviews -- the dispenser could use some work (or just eliminate the brush tip; you need your finger to pat it dry and even anyway). The amount is far too little for for cost -- $22 for 0.1ml? Ok... I'd deal with the cost if it was a great product, but I haven't found it to be. If I use it for under-eye brightening, adding concealer on top dulls the effect and creates a dry, flaky look, so the finish is definitely not smooth or even, and the "bright eyes" look is pretty much where it would be with only concealer. I've used it as a highlighter for other areas like brow bone or cheekbone, but beware the light you plan to be under. In front of my lighted cosmetic mirror, it looked subtle and even, but in daylight it was just too obvious where the product was on my face. I love this company, but the price and claim of this product are not right.
