Q & A
Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null 4.3 5 59 59
Not For Me I thought I would really like a cream concealer, but it makes my eyes burn when I use it around them, and actually makes the rosacea on my cheeks, on either side of my nose, act up. I get little red itchy blisters. The coverage is ok. It covers the little imperfections on my face well, but doesn't work so well to cover the circles under my eyes. The regular Bisque powder concealer works much, much, better at concealing everything. I have the Medium 1, and Light 1 and 2. I really should have gotten the Medium 2 for medium neutral tones. I still might try it, but I won't ever stop using Bisque. For me, that is the miracle concealer! 04/20/2014
Light 2 and Medium 2 I'm kinda pale with a little tan but a lot of redness and dark circles. I got the number 2's because they have a more yellow undertone and they do very well to at covering up the redness on my face and dark circles under my eyes. I've noticed after wearing the makeup all day for a couple days in a row my skin is less red, my under eye area less dark and my pores are getting smaller. BE foundation always made my skin better but the correct/concealer makes the change quicker and more noticeable. Once my usual foundation/mineral veil routine is complete, my skin looks flawless! I've always loved BE and this just gives me even more to love!!!! 04/17/2014
Does the job This is the best concealer I have ever tried. When I was initially looking for a concealer from BM, all of the sales reps advised me not to purchase the product because it cakes under the eyes. I tried it anyway and I absolutely love it. It does not cake if applied correctly and smoothed evenly with your finger. I have been using it for months now and my under eye circles have brightened drastically to where I really don't have to wear it. The skin is almost the same color as the concealer. Yay!!!! I have always had a problem with dark under eye circles and now I don't have to consult a dermatologist. 04/07/2014
Don't know what I did without it!! I got this concealer as an add on with my first kit. I have horrible insomnia, so needing something to hide my dark circles was a just necessity. Wow! Not only did it hide my circles but no more angry red nose and chine! Perfectly hides my acne bumps too. Paired it with stroke of light under my eyes and well rested eye and face on my life's, and hello to looking like I got sleep all night. The coverage is perfect and blends easily and to use on my entire nose before my foundation and not have it show through like other concealer a I've used. I hope they never discontinue it! I don't know what I'd do because the powder concealer does me no good. 03/24/2014
Good coverage but... I have to say I like, not love this concealer. It's very creamy and offers decent coverage but when I put it around my eyes and it settles, it tends to get cakey and works its way into any fine lines I have in the eye area, which is quite unflattering. It does a moderate job of covering my acne scars on my face. Overall, it's okay. 03/20/2014
It's ok I have dark circles under my eyes and some red patches on my cheek bones. I purchased the product unaware that there was a loose powder concealer. I applied it at home and it seemed to cake on under my eye and didn't want to blend well. It took so long to blend but once blended it covered well. I also have an oily face and this didn't seem to help much. It works if you have time to really blend it in. 03/10/2014
Dark circles gone I've always dealt with dark circles underneath my eyes, and i've been looking endlessly for a concealer that would match my skin perfectly, and erase my dark circles. This is the one! I love this concealer, i feel so much better about myself with it on, and my face looks flawless. It lasts throughout my entire day, reapply if you feel you must, but i just apply once while getting ready and i feel it looks the same as it did in the morning at the end of my day. Will definitely repurchase! :) 02/22/2014
Good Concealer This concealer is quite good and provides good coverage. It sometimes makes my under eye skin a bit flaky, but takes away redness and covers acne. Seems to work better when it's warmed up a bit (ex. from the steam from the shower). 02/02/2014
LOVE THIS! Best concealer ever! Covers well and it's light weight and creamy ! Perfect for under the eyes and to use along with well rested . 01/28/2014
The solution to my dark circles Ever since I can remember I've had dark circles under my eyes, even when I get plenty of sleep. Now that I'm past 40 these have become more prevalent. In the boutique they showed me this correcting concealer and I found that the circles went almost completely away. It's too heavy for anything but under my eyes, but that's really all I need it for. It lasts a long time too. I've used this every day for four months and I can see the bottom of the container but I've probably got 2 or 3 weeks left. The other thing I like is although it's fully pigmented coverage it comes off with my normal makeup remover and doesn't irritate that sensitive skin. I've tried other brighteners and concealers, and this is the best by far. If you're in a similar situation I'd definitely try it. 01/26/2014

My skin can sometimes turn into an oil slick. I am considering purchasing either this concealer or the well rested eye brightener (I have slight dark circles as well). I like medium to full converge, but I don't want it to slide off my face.

I've used Benefit Erase Paste and Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer for the dark circles under my eyes, and they worked great, except for a slight drying and creasing under my eyes. Has anyone tried these and how does BareEscentuals correcting concealer compare?

I use Ready foundation (love it!) in medium beige AND golden medium together. They work great together for me. I'm really wanting to try this concealer but can't decide which shade. I'm blonde with medium skin and with quite a bit of red from rosacea. I will use this mostly around my eyes. Have been using Well Rested for a long time but need a little more coverage. The light 1 seems a little too pinkish. Someone mentioned this concealer runs a little dark so I think medium might be too dark. I don't have a boutique in my area. Any advice is much appreciated!

I think the key to which one to try would be looking at the Find Your Perfect Shade link. You say you have Medium skin, so I would say either Medium 1 or 2, but it would depend on if you're a cool or warm or neutral tone. If you're using Medium Beige and Golden Medium together, you probably have a warm to neutral tone, and that would be the Medium 2 in the concealer. I've found that following the site's shade matching advice works well for me when I'm selecting a shade. I hope this helps. God luck!

I use fairly medium in matte. I'd advise go lighter. I use light 1 since I have pink under tones.. Based one yours I'd say go with light 2 since you have more yellow under tones. The key to getting dark circles to go away is use a shade lighter of concealer than the foundation you wear.

I think Light 2 would work well for you, since it sounds like you like the warm-based colors. (Light 2 and Medium 2 are warm-based, yellow colors). For concealers, I think going lighter is always better.

Hope this helps!

You're probably cool. What you could do is go to a regular drug store and try and color match. I would certainly advice you go with BM stuff, but that will tell you which shade you are. If you have a BM boutique near you that would be your best bet.

How I learned is, which looks better on you: silver, gold, or both? (Not to be mistaken with which one do you like -- which one LOOKS better on you)

Personally, I look better in silver, so I am a cool tone. Neutrals can wear either silver or gold, and warm tones look best in gold.

Hope that helps!

If you are fair, then you probably have a cool undertone, and if you are a little more tan, then you probably have a warmer undertone

Personally, I use my Prime Time under and above my eyes before putting concealer on. So it makes sense, this is how I do it...

I put the Prime Time on by squirting one pump onto the back of my L hand, dabbing my R ring finger into it, then dabbing my forehead, hose, and chin with it. Then I take the remaining Prime Time, and divide it between my cheeks. I then make sure to rub it all in (gently) and you have a feeling of having "extra" on your fingers, just gently rub that under/above your eyes. I find that works better than the eye cream.

I generally use eye cream at night when it has more time to absorb on clean skin.

I would recommend using a cream, but let it dry around the eye area before applying the concealer (Stroke of light works best around the eyes). You may want to go to a nearby boutique to figure out which eye cream would work for you.

I think what will be closest is Tan 1 (for cool undertones) or Tan 2 (for neutral or warm undertones); these are the colors for tan skin (which Honey Bisque is for).

Hope this helps!

I have some dark spots that I cover. Bisque alone is great. This concealer (Light 2) is fabulous. And, for extra coverage, I sometimes dab on some Bisque over the correcting concealer. For me, they work together...and they stay on! No need to re-apply.

Personally, I don't think it would be too much. I'm a Bisque user (LOVE IT# and wear the Fairly Light Foundation Matte. I tried this concealer and didn't like it. But, I wanted to use it as concealer for blemishes #I'm pregnant as well and my face is breaking out horribly). I used it for under the eyes and it works great. I say, just don't pack on the bisque after putting on the correcting concealer. Just dust it over lightly. Good luck and hope it helps!

I am medium beige and use this for face discoloration (next to nose, dark spots, acne scars) and use light 2. I would use a lighter color under my eyes-light 2 us a bit too dark for that.

They tend to run dark. I have the lightest shade and it still looks dark. The foundation seems to soak into it and makes it look darker than it is.
