Prime Time Neutralizing Foundation Primer
does not neutralize redness
Yellow does not neutralize redness..green does. This product may even it out a bit but does not neutralize it. That being said, I should have read more closely to see they use yellow. I have mild rosacea and it doesn't neutralize it at all.
Helps evenout the apperance of my skin! YAY!
I was a little hesitant to buy this with a lot of reviews stating that it is different than the normal Prime Time, but it seemed that some liked it and some didn't so I gave it a try to see for myself. I love it! I love the original too and it is definitely different, yet I like the way it evened my skin out a little more than if I hadn't used it. It doesn't get rid of all the redness etc. like a foundation would, but helps even the contrasting areas so that it's not so harsh and the foundation can cover it faster. I also used a little extra on the more red areas like another reviewer mentioned. It helped me use less foundation to cover the red areas. I liked the consistency too, it's like a cream, but a silky cream. I enjoy the feel of it, maybe even better than the original. Now I'm thinking they should come out with a Jumbo Size of this one! I think I will be using this from now on!
My advice would be don't expect it to be opaque like a foundation. Basically it's a sheer help without adding an extra step to your routine...it's in the Primer instead of having to add another something for the red areas.
A Great Product
I love this product. It evens out my skin tone and I find I use less concealer. My skin looks so flawless. I love this product and recommend it to everyone!
BEST PRODUCT EVER!!
I felt compelled to write this review to let everyone know about this fantastic product! I'm 43 years old and I have a few large pores and redness on my face, and this product covers both! In fact, my skin has improved by using this product, and I have received numerous compliments about my skin lately, and that's saying a lot!
If you're hesitant to buy this product - hesitate no longer! You'll love it!
I know this is just a primer, but this provides great coverage. I have quite a bit of red in my skin tone, especially my nose, and I found that this product alone does a great job in neutralizing the redness. I have used green powders in the past to neutralizing the red, but I thought because of my skin tone the yellow was going to be a bit too much. I was wrong. I absolutely love this primer.
I purchased this today, I do agree with other reviews a little thinner than original primer. But being very fair skin helps coverage of redness. Like my face not feeling heavy with to much product on face.
So far, my favorite BM primer
I was just at the Bare Minerals counter yesterday, and I was going in to try the newer Ready Foundation for the first time. I went in with no makeup on, and she wanted to show me this primer before she applied the makeup. And so I put it on. It feels like it would be really wet/greasy, but once applied all over, it immediately dries and does not leave a residue. I did notice a longer lasting wear of the makeup, but she did tell me the new ready foundation is hydrating so its last-wear is generally longer than the older original formulas. But, I liked the way it felt and it did seem to help with the redness! Did it's job, and I would purchase and keep using.
Not good for oily skin
I have redness on my face and this does a good job at covering that up. It also does a good job making my skin smooth for foundation. But it makes my skin very oily after a few hours of wearing it!
Feels like a Beauty Balm..but it's not
I purchased this primer in a local boutique. I have a bit of redness to my skin so I thought I'd give it a try. I like it..it does not have the feel of the original primers. This one is a bit thinner, so you actually use less, in my opinion. I like the way my foundation looks with it..and I did use less foundation using this product so I give it an A. It is a good alternative...I'd buy it again.
It Does the Job
I did try this in the boutique and liked it. The suggestion of the lady who helped me said it would help me use less foundation, which I was using Matte formula in Golden Fair to hide redness already. I did go into the store specifically looking for this product, but I am going to return it.
Like some others have mentioned, it just doesn't have that luxurious super-silky smooth feel that the regular foundation primer has. I went ahead and got the Redness Remedy to do the job instead of this product.
I tried it in the store thinking I could adjust to the different feel of the primer, but I really don't want to. It's still a good product that does what it says, but I prefer the feel of the original, which I have now purchased in jumbo size :)
