Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener 3.5 5 78 78
Better than Botox! This product adds that little POP of brightener to those key places where you need a "lift"! It was recommended to me by a sales specialist in the store after I shared with her my challenges with my mid 40's complexion. I did read a few of the other reviews - this is not a concealer; it is a brightener & is used very sparingly. From the reviews, it appears to not have the effect on younger skin as I did on mine & the other middle age beauties out there. Definitely worth trying - AMAZING glow! 05/27/2015
Love! I absolutely adore this product! It brightens and lightens and really does make my skin GLOW! You only need a little bit of the product, which is really nice. I love products where a little goes a long way. I apply it to my cheekbones, inner eyes, eyebrows, around my lips, down the center of my nose, chin, and my cupids bow. This will forever be part of my daily makeup routine. In the past I've used ELF's imitation of this product and it does not even compare. This is a must have! 04/07/2015
Don't Do It!!! It does nothing...get the "Stroke of Light" instead! Sorry, but I just don't get it. It's so thin, even used purely for a bit of light reflection, certainly not a concealer...it's not even buildable. I tried four layers on the back of my hand...noth. I hate spending good money on something and not being able to get some kind of use out of it, but I think I'm giving up on this one and tossing it. 03/23/2015
Great pick me up - This works really well at just adding a bit of light to either dark circles or puffy eyes so they are not as noticeable. It is not a concealer so it wont hide anything - but if you are in a rush and have no time for the full make-up effect - it's rather clear in color - almost nude but adds just enough highlight to brighten under eye or in the corner of the lid to make those little flaws less noticeable. I sometimes do not have time for make up - but this under my eyes is just enough to make the unflattering puffy or dark circles less noticeable. 03/10/2015
nope I don't get it, this product does nothing except make your skin moist. No coverage, no brightening effect. 02/17/2015
Disappointing I agree with just about all of the other reviews -- the dispenser could use some work (or just eliminate the brush tip; you need your finger to pat it dry and even anyway). The amount is far too little for for cost -- $22 for 0.1ml? Ok... I'd deal with the cost if it was a great product, but I haven't found it to be. If I use it for under-eye brightening, adding concealer on top dulls the effect and creates a dry, flaky look, so the finish is definitely not smooth or even, and the "bright eyes" look is pretty much where it would be with only concealer. I've used it as a highlighter for other areas like brow bone or cheekbone, but beware the light you plan to be under. In front of my lighted cosmetic mirror, it looked subtle and even, but in daylight it was just too obvious where the product was on my face. I love this company, but the price and claim of this product are not right. 02/02/2015
Terrible Packaging Design I really wanted to love this product...if only I could get the packaging open. When using this product, I have to remember to open it before I put any lotion on in the morning. So if I happen to forget this, then forget about getting it open, my hands slide right off the tube. I definitely won't be buying this again and will be buying a different cover up in the future, probably one with a twist off lid. 01/27/2015
Horrible! I got this with a set I received as a Christmas gift. I had run out of my Bisque concealer, so I tried it out. Not impressed! It did not cover anything! It took forever to get the stuff out onto the brush too. All this did was make my face sticky . It would not dry, so I couldn't apply the rest of my makeup without having a patch under my eves from this stuff. I honestly can't believe there are people who love it. I threw it in the trash! I'm very glad I didn't waste my own money on this stuff! If you want to really cover your dark circles and blemishes, get the concealer powder. It's probably my favorite Bare Minerals product. 01/14/2015
Touch Of Light Adds the perfect highlight to your cheeks, nose above the brow. One of my favorite products and a must have! 01/08/2015
Not a fan I wanted to my hand at illuminating/eye brightening but this item is not doing the trick. I don't have dark circles luckily but this product would not conceal them if I did. It takes forever to get the product started and then it doesn't last long. I generally didn't even like the look of it afterward - I think it enhanced under eye lines and my dry skin. Luckily this came as a freebie b/c I would have returned this if I actually paid for it. 12/12/2014

The first time I used the brightener, a white liquid came out on the brush. The five days since, no matter how many times I turn the base, it appears nothing is coming out.... or it's a clear liquid.

Is it clear, am I doing something wrong or did I get a faulty applicator.

I thought mine was broke at first. I figured if it was broke I would be able to return it so I just went ahead and kept twisting the applicator. It took a number of turns but finally a light cream color liquid started to seep out. Don't fret and keep twisting, it will come out for you too. :o)

You're probably using too much - it is a white liquid but you're supposed to blend it into your skin. I have dark Indian skin and I use it and love it. Try a little less and see if your results change.

When I first got it, I had to turn it a lot for the product to actually start coming out. You should be able to see the product because it isn't clear.

That is how my product is as well. I think this is intended to be a face 'illuminator' type product instead of an under eye conceal/highlight product #which is how it is advertised# which lends itself to the more white/neutral colored product.

The descriptions for the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener are nearly identical, and these are both new products. Can you please explain the difference between the two? Thank you very much.

The Well-rested is more of a brightener that adds shimmer and high lights the area, versus the eye brightener which does slightly more actual concealing

Even though both products serve the same purpose, I feel that the Stroke of Light has more tint to it than the Well-Rested pen after you apply it, but they both brighten up the face and under-eye area. I've tried both, and I would lean a little more towards the Stroke of Light.

Hope this answer helps!

Stroke of light functions as a concealer and well rested is a brightener/highligher only. Well rested is not meant to conceal. I didn't want to admit it at first like one of the ladies at the boutique told me, but you may need both. The well rested is amazing and doesn't sink into any lines you may have, the stroke of light is really only meant for where a dark circle may be, DON'T put it too close to the under eye area and DON'T put it near any laugh lines near the eyes. The well rested it great for inner eyes, brow bone, and especially cheek bones. I think the well rested is the more important product, and you could use a lot of other concealers for any dark circles... I haven't found anything like the new liquid well-rested as far as brightening and highlighting.

I just happen to have both of these products. The Stroke of Light Eye Brightener has a more pearlized look. I use it on my lids and under the brow. It is so pretty by itself but you can add eyeshadow. The Well-Rested Face has more of a creamy look. It still lightens the dark circles and minimizes the lines on the under eye area.

If you want coverage around your eyes the Well-Rested Face & Eye Brightener is not what you want. I use the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener or the new SPF 20 Correcting Concealer around my eyes and then layer the Well-Rested SPF 20 Eye Brightener LOOSE POWDER over it for a flawless finish. I bought the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and I absolutely hate it. It doesn't provide any coverage and it illuminates wrinkles around the eyes. Plus in my case it irritates my eyes and makes the water.

the pen is meant to be used as more of highlight on your face and to gee you a natural glow, while the eye brightener is more used to specifically cover dark circles and bring more light to your under eye area.

You pull the cap off to reveal the brush tip. Then, you hold the center of the pen itself and turn the base clockwise to have the brightener come up through the center of the brush tip. The first time, it takes 5-10 turns to come up through the brush. After that, just one turn, but each turn lasts a bit.

Hi Mrs. Y,
I hope that by now you have figured out how to use it, or at least still have it on hand.
Hold the product horizontal so that you can read the writing. Take the left cap off so you can see the brush. On the right you'll see the bottom of the product, which twists and makes a clicking sound every time you turn it clockwise one full turn. When using it for the first time, I suggest pointing the brush towards the ground and shaking the product so the liquid ends up near the brush end. Then turn the bottom of the product until you hear at least five clicks. Try applying the product via the brush. If nothing comes out, keep repeating the clicking and application until product reaches the brush and applies to your face. Hope this helps!

There should be directions! Pull the cap off and at the bottom of the wand is a twist portion. Turn that clockwise about 4 or 5 clicks. The Brightener drops out of the brush and is easily applied. I just love this product! Minimizes the dark circles and fine lines.

I had to turn it clockwise more than 5 times to get the liquid flow. Plus I turned it upside down. I think it had been stored upward.
