READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null 4 5 255 255
Loove it! I have been using BM original loose formula for 10 years now but I feel like I need more coverage and was tired of the messy powder.. I tried the new bareskin liquid and it was a fail , to greasy and light coverage, I felt like it never set :( I wear shade med-biege in the loose BM , I ordered" Med-tan R3310" and it was an okay color match, to light--- but I really liked the coverage with pressed powder!! It really covered any red areas and the hyper-pigmentation !!I don't need to wear concealer!! I can work out and sweat and my make up is still on! The compact lasted only 5 weeks-- bummer because it so expensive! Next time around I ordered a shade darker " Golden Tan R330" and it a perfect match!! YAY!!! I really love the pressed powder it just cost more and I run out faster versus BM powder.. 09/10/2014
expected a lot more from BE I guess first of all I cannot understand why the shades of Ready don't match the she shades of the original foundation. Makes it impossible to purchase online, and not everyone is fortunate enough to live near a boutique to be color matched. Regardless, I have found the Ready to be very cakey. It is difficult to apply a light layer, so by the time I'm done my face looks heavy and thick with make. What I've always liked about BE is the natural look, but this in now way provides that. Very disappointed. Plus based on online comments and suggestions, not only do you end up with an expensive product that does not work, but you get fooled into thinking it will work if use the right brush, so there's another chunk of change spent without any better result. I hope BE will take all of reviews into consideration and really work on improving this product. The tap swirl and buff technique is so cumbersome. Having a Ready foundation would be so convenient, if only it worked. 08/27/2014
Finally! I've been struggling for the past year or so, trying to find foundation that matches my skin well, and also has a near flawless finish. I tried other brands, then the mineral powder, then finally I tried this just on a whim. The coverage is just amazing, you cant see any of my freckles through it, the finish is very smooth, almost air brush like. I absolutely love it. It also feels very light and it lasts all day. You may need to blot in the middle of the day but without any additional powder. If you're thinking about trying this you HAVE to do it. I cant imagine anyone will be disappointed. 08/25/2014
Full coverage + shade difference I started using Bare Minerals foundation in 2004. I loved it. However, when I started getting more redness in my face, along with some occasional mild acne, I switched back to liquid foundation for fuller coverage (and it was faster to 'fix' my redness/acne with a liquid). Now, after 3 years of liquid foundations, I had to stop because of some new skin problems. I just purchased the READY foundation in Golden Medium, since that is the shade I used for BM Matte. The coverage is really amazing. However, the Golden Medium was way too light on my skin. I had to exchange it for Golden Tan (which looks A LOT darker in the compact, but goes on lighter). I would recommend getting the shade one darker than you would normally use at Bare Minerals. I'm really impressed with this full coverage, velvety foundation! 08/23/2014
Keeps breaking! I absolutely love this foundation... it gives perfect coverage that I need everyday. It also feels light and airy. However, towards the end my compacts always break as in the makeup inside shatters and is no longer usable. Recently, I bought a new compact and the makeup shattered inside and the entire new compact was unusable. Its frustrating because you spend so much money and not all of it can be used. 08/01/2014
Covers acne I cannot say enough about this product and how it helped me through a bad acne breakout. You cannot put it on heavy or you'll look ridiculous. I used their concealer for the acne leas ions. Also warmth, and a blush. They helped to take the emphasis off the acne. The girl at the BM store was more than nice when she did this mini makeover! I now only use the original foundation and Ready on special occasions because I find it to be more moisturizing than the original and I want my face to be as clear as possible. The concealer I don't think clogged my pores but I watch these products as an acne sufferer. I usually walk around with no makeup for the lesions to heal. 07/30/2014
What's with the color change?!? I started using/switched to the Ready foundation formula about a yr ago (switched from the traditional loose mineral formula, which I had used for yrs). Found its coverage to be comparable and really liked that it was less messy & more user friendly in my purse or with travel. I always wore the "medium" in the loose mineral, but found the "medium beige" in the Ready to be a closer match to the "medium" in the loose, which I had always loved. Fast forward to now, I was out of my Ready Med Bg. Due to convenience, I usually order online b/c the closest store to me is several miles away. However, this time I happened to be in that neck of the woods, so I went by the BE store and purchased another Ready in Med. Bg., which I had been using for over 6 mos & was very happy with. Got the new replacement home, and it looked yellow on my skin versus the usual slightly pink to neutral undertones. I visually compared it to the old Med Bg in natural lighting & there is DEFINITELY a difference!! Thinking the store clerk may have accidentally picked up the wrong color or misunderstood my request (she got the product for me, I did not remove from store shelf myself), I compared the numbers on the back of the compact. They WERE different!! Old Med Bg was N20, but the store clerk gave me one that said R250. So I was convinced she sold me he wrong one & was going to try & return it. HOWEVER... I just now looked online to order another Med Bg and OMG, it is now indeed R250!! (WTHeck?!?) The store clerk did NOT make an error; BE has apparently CHANGED the color. I have no dang idea which color NOW translates into the old Med Bg. I have been a loyal customer for years, and did not see any communication via website or otherwise that they were changing up the colors. This stuff is not exactly cheap either!!! What is the deal?!? I would have ordinarily given this product a 4-5 star rating, but given the schizo color change that makes me look jaundiced, it now has only 2 stars. I am sooo disappointed. Would have continued to buy this product for many, many more yrs, but not now. :( 07/07/2014
Runs lighter in color I love the Bare Mineral formula and how it feels on my skin. It's weightless and doesn't cause my skin to react. I love the pressed powder, it goes on smooth, has a light matte finish and doesn't move throughout the day. Many products make my skin react. Between clogged pores, redness, and rashes I've learned that this brand works well for me. I've tried every foundation they make and love each one for different reasons. I go back and forth between liking the pressed and loose powders but I think I do like the pressed better. I feel like I get more out of it and can use less to get the same amount of coverage as the loose powder. My one complaint is that it does run about a shade lighter in the same color as the original and matte formulas. 06/16/2014
On the go necessity The is a must have compact in your make up bag. Great for touch ups while on the go. Affordable and lasts long. Works great with the mini kabuki brush. 06/14/2014
Love the look, not the time What caused me to try this was how long each container lasts. I used Clinique due to skin issues, and love it, but every 30 days I need a new compact. Bare Escentuals costs the same, but lasts for months. I've been using Bare Escentuals for a little over a year now with a couple of breaks from it. I started with the loose powder and loved the way it looked, but it was messy, time-consuming, and took up too much space in my bag so I went back to the other stuff. Once I found out about the compact powder foundation, I just HAD to give it another try. I aboslutely love the way it looks, I never have to do any touch-ups (except when my allergies are bad and need to use a lot of tissue), my skin looks so smooth, and it holds up in the heat when I'm outside a lot. My only complaint is how long it takes to put on. I like to just slap on the necessities and go, like I could with my old powder foundation. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with stuff and will continue buying it! 06/09/2014

I have used both the Original and the Ready Foundation, but find that the latter is more difficult to cleanse, usually resulting in having to cleanse twice to make sure all is removed.

I think a brush is needed, a cotton ball or your fingers will just put the product in one spot. This foundation blends so nicely into the skin, but it won't without a brush in my opinion. I left my Precision Face Brush at my vacation home, and now use a big fluffy brush, or a mini kabuki, and get a nice medium coverage.

My Rosacea prone areas seem to get blotchy and the foundation doesn't cover well (nose and cheeks) Is my foundation too light?, am I not blending enough? It doesn't do it when I apply a very light application but I need to apply more for the coverage. The more I apply the worse it gets

I am not a professional makeup artist or anything but I have tried both formulas and work outside no matter how hot or cold it is.

I think (at least with my skin, yours may be different) they both last about the same in the heat and they both will wipe off while using a napkin. I have used both with and without primer. The Ready foundation, I feel, does a little better than Bareskin without a primer as far as last power. However, while using a primer, I feel the Bareskin does better and looks better throughout the day (more natural, not like a mask) while working in the heat and sweating (a lot).

I think you will like this for sure! My skin is very oily during the summer months, and this foundation does the trick. No shine at all; by the end of the day my skin looks like I just put on foundation. I would definitely give it a go. Get shade matched first since it will make all the difference.

It's general rule that you'll be one shade darker than the Original formula in the Ready foundation. However, after my experience, if you can get to a boutique or anywhere that sells it so you can test it first and/or be shade matched, that's the best.

I've heard of other people using other foundation brushes to apply the ready foundation. I have the precision face brush. I love the brush because it picks up just enough product and blends it so well over my whole face. This brush is very soft as well.

I would think almost any brush would work but I definitely think you should use a brush to get it blended well

I am also a medium beige in the original and matte foundation. I purchased the same for the compact and it works great. You do need a brush with it, either the precision or mini kabuki.

I think Medium Beige would still work well for you in READY, it just might be a tad lighter. And no, you can use the Full Flawless (or whichever brush); I do!

A blush typically comes in shades varying from light pinks to darker reds, giving the skin a pretty touch of color. (Not sunburnt, but more so "flushed")
Bronzers range from browns to orange browns. They are used for contouring and to give a sun kissed, tanned glow.
