Well-Rested Eye Brightener Broad Spectrum SPF 20
Beautiful, Illuminates, No Sparkles
I bought this originally to use to cover up the bluish dark circles under my eyes, but now I also use it as a base color for eyes. It provides a beautiful base color that illuminates without sparkles. Using it for dark circles, I have found that less is more -- only tap out a few sprinkles of powder and tap the brush before applying it.
Love this product
I use this under all my eye color, but also on those days when I don't want a lot of make up and use this with just eye liner It brightens my eyelids by just the right amount to look natural.
this is a perfect eye brightener I just love it!
CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT
Contouring is what everyone seems to be doing in regards to makeup, and unfortunately, bareminerals--which is the only brand I can use without breaking out--doesn't have a contouring kit. So instead, I bought this product to use not only under my eyes, but everywhere you would normally use the light contour. IT'S GREAT! It even lasts through a three hour sweating gym session. I basically make a triangle under my eyes with the point being the top of my lip, the ball of my chin and under my bottom lip, and on the bridge of my nose. I then use bronzer for the dark contour and use the Original Foundation to blend it all together. My everyday make up takes about ten minutes =) Oh and I use the concealer brush to apply this product
I went into a Bare Minerals boutique and was talking to a very knowledgeable sales associate. I explained to her I had both dark undereye circles and many red acne blemishes and I thought I needed 2 separate concealers to fix those issues. She showed me well rested and said she used it herself on her blemishes and her under eyes. I use fairly light as my foundation and this blends seamlessly into my foundation. I could not be happier. Covers my acne spots perfectly and makes me look, well, rested when I use this under my eyes. I tell everyone I know about this product.
I recently ran out of my Bisque and went to our local mall to make a purchase. They were out of Bisque. The sales person asked if I wanted to try something different. I told her I had rosacea and needed extra coverage. She had me try Well Rested. I was sold!! It covered the rosacea perfectly and was just the coverage I needed with my Fairly Medium powder. I still love Bisque but as my redness fluctuates throughout the month I turn to Well Rested to cover when I need the extra confidence. I still use it on my eyes as well to cover the dark circles but was thrilled to find it does oh so much more. Nicely done BE!!
Don't buy if you have under eye lines or wrinkles.
Unfortunately, this product just goes on cakey, makes my skin look dry and the lines and wrinkles under my eyes more pronounced. I've tried it both under and over my foundation and neither works. I've tried using a little and a lot. Tried buffing excessively and barely applying to the skin. Just doesn't work for me. I'm 48 years old and have lines around my eyes. This is definitely not a product that makes me feel more awake when I look in the mirror.
Don't let yourself be swindled.
What a joke this product is! I was conned into buying this product by one of the sales associates at the Bare Escentuals store (when I only went in to accompany my mother - with no intention of buying any make-up!) because she said it made my dark circles disappear and it brightened my whole face.
I explained to the associate that I do have some very fine lines under my eyes and that most concealers, especially anything powdered or drying, made my undereyes look crepey. She said I only need to apply this with one of their brushes and use my finger to tap it into place because the heat from my hand helped my skin absorb the minerals. She also convinced me that a little moisturizer and the primer used before hand on my eyes would lock in the moisture under my eyes and prevent my eyes from looking crepey.
Ladies, don't be fooled. There's a reason the lighting in those stores is soft and dim - it makes it harder to see the imperfections the product is actually drawing out on your face. I'm only 27, and, like most women, I want to CONCEAL my little imperfections, not draw them out. This powder concealer makes the skin under your eyes dryer - emphasizing every nook and cranny. This was after I applied my moisturizer and a primer. I want to keep my youthful skin, not suck the life out of it.
I have a genetic predisposition to dark circles and the lines are very fine, almost unnoticeable on a regular basis. But applying this product has aged me by 10 years. Not to mention the fact that it is so much lighter than my foundation (and I have very fair skin - Bare Porcelain on the BE make-up scale) that I look like I'm putting white pan make-up on (which I've actually done before with less drastic results). I looked like an old jaundiced clown in my mirror at home this morning. Suffice it to say, this product will be going back. I think I'll return to my Philosophy make-up from here on out.
How to look well-rested when you're not!
I so love this product. It goes on sort of light and creamy but gives great coverage and it really brightens up my tired old dark eyes. I have both the cream stick and this powder and both are great, but this little powder is my favorite. The creator of Bare Minerals Well-Rested is a genius and I'd love to give them a hug for bringing this little miracle in my life! There will never be a better eye concealer product on the market and anyone else who struggles with the daily dark circles needs this product in their beauty arsenal!
Light and bright
I love this concealer, I actually use this as more than a concealer. Once I have used my cream concealer and put my foundation on, I use a fluffy brush to pat this under my eyes and downwards just slightly and also in a cross shape across the middle of my forehead and down the bridge of my nose for contour. This method works like a charm and makes my face looks bright as well as keeping those unwanted dark veins under my eyes muted.
