Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner - null
Unhappy with this eyeliner.
I have used Bare Minerals Make-up for ten years and have loved all the products except this new waterproof eyeliner. I live in Florida where it's very humid (even in the air conditioning). This eyeliner tends to melt when I sharpen it causing it to break. I have broke more than I have used. Very disappointed with this product. Please bring back the previous one, that does not require a sharpener. It worked nice even in humidity.
New is not better
I have used bare minerals eye liners for several years. I found them to be a perfect all-in- one product. This new eye liner is terrible. You now have to purchase a sharpener. The pencil dries out quickly making application very difficult and the built-in smudger is gone. Please bring back the old pencil with the built-in smudger and sharpener. Until you do I will be forced to find another product because I will not continue using this one.
Best Eyeliner Ever
I LOVE this eyeliner. I have one in every color and it is the only eyeliner that I will ever use. It goes on smooth and stays all day (and night). I have oily skin and this is the only eyeliner that does not smudge or smear. I don't get eyeliner buildup in the corner of my eyes because this eyeliner does not move once you put it on.
I have tried this shade (Midnight) which I received as a sample in the "All Fired Up" kit. After giving it a few tries, prepping it with the Eyeshadow Primer it still goes on clumpy, difficult to blend and it is hard to draw a narrow line. The only thing is that it does LAST, until you remove it with a waterproof eye remover. I am going back to my old kajal liner..This was not for me.
not the usual product
I have never been disappointed in a BE product until this purchase. When I apply it it goes everywhere. I will not be purchasing it again. very yucky product and not at all the quality you expect with BE products.
Gotta love this eyeliner! It glides on so smooth and bold, the color is fantastic and doesn't budge. My only complaint is that you lose a lot of product from crumbling when you sharpen it and the wood gets very sharp for something applied around the eye area. I am hoping for a twist up option in the future because I love this product!
In one word: garbage (literally, in my trash now)
I don't normally write scathing reviews, I usually can find at least one thing I like about a product..... but this. Oh this purchase makes me ANGRY.
I got this in the Perfect Picks eyes case bc, well, it's the ONLY option for eyeliner they give you in the perfect picks. So even if I hated it, which I DO, I have NO other options.... baaaaaaaad.
I have worn this several days in a row, just to ensure the first time was not a fluke.... keeping in mind that I have used every type of eyeliner from gel to pencil to liquid; and every brand from dirt cheap to very high end - this is my take on this supposedly higher end of eyeliner products:
- Applies VERY thick, probably due to the inabiltiy to maintain a point. Very hard to get close to eyelash line without a thick line.
- If you do apply it lightly and blend so that you dont look like a gangsta girl you will be LUCKY to get 5 hrs wear from this. EVERY day I have checked in the mirror and by 2ish in the afternoon allllllllllllllllllll the eyeliner is just GONE. One day it was smeared a little in the corner, one day it was crackled down the side of my eye almost like chunky pieces fell off, and the other days it just completely disappeared. I have NEVER in my LIFE had an eyeliner disappear.
- This pencil goes on so softly that you would need to literally sharpen it each time you use it in order to maintain a decent point.
- It is difficult to sharpen, with the pencil being so soft it is hard to get a nice point - I was actually surprised by this and really annoyed that I TWICE had a pencil tip in the end of my sharpner from it falling off. Wasted product = worthy of mention.
I did not want to believe the bad reviews of this, I got it anyways due to the perfect picks promo.
And frankly, I am SO disappointed in this eyeliner that I would literally be willing to return the ENTIRE perfect picks including the eyeshadow and mascara that I love just to prove how much I despise this product.... and coming from a makeup junkie that says a lot.
Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner
I normally do not write product reviews, but I have read so many poor reviews on this product it is not even funny. Before I bought this product I read through about 75 reviews, and only found a handful that had any positive feedback. Now, one would ask why I would buy something that had already gotten so many poor reviews. Well, I will tell you. I, as many females, am very emotional, and I found that simply using the regular powder liner like I normally did was not going to cut it. You see I have had some medical problems that have caused me to be on strong pain pills, and anyone who has been in a situation like that know that pain meds mess with your emotions even more. So over this past year I have found that I really needed a waterproof eyeliner, and was afraid I would have to go outside Bare Minerals to find it. I was thrilled when I found out about this liner, but was apprehensive after reading all of the reviews. I decided to start out with one liner and the pencil sharpener from Bare Minerals. I was amazed, I was not only able to create a smooth line, I was also able to create a small, narrow line, which according to other people is impossible to do. I also tried sharpening one of my pencils and found it was very easy to do. I think that most people who were having issues sharpening the eyeliner pencil's were not using the BM pencil sharpener. Overall I have used each of my liners a good 4 to 5 times and have only sharpened one, so I could write this review.
I'm a first time BM user and I Love the color. It makes my hazel eye pop. The liner goes on smooth and easy. I like the smudge look its perfect for that. If you're looking for a fine line, not your product. I only wish it was a twist.
Not my favorite.....
The one good thing that I like about this eyeliner is the color (11 a.m.) although I don't think it is a mossy green like it says in the description. I consider it a bit more jade than mossy. The color really makes my eyes pop and looks gorgeous on me! However, that's about all I like about this eyeliner. It is very, very difficult to apply in a smooth, neat line. Forget about applying a thin line, too! It is very messy! It is also very difficult to get a sharp point when the pencil is sharpened. I have ended up having to apply it by dotting it on instead of doing a line and then taking a q-tip to go back and smudge it. I usually end up still having to also go back with a little eye makeup remover on my q-tip to clean up the lines. I have one thing to say to Bare Escentuals- bring back the old twist eyeliner!!!!
