Q & A

ORIGINAL Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - null 4.7 5 240 242
Love it I have been using this for over a year. I have rosacea and was using Merle Norman. My face continually broke out and burned. Since this, my brake outs are rare depending on what is gong on in life, but the make up does not burn it, or make it worst. The coverage is very good and my face is never oily any more. 01/26/2016
Great product I have been using. Bare Minerals for many years. Love it! It is great for my skin and looks good, too. 01/20/2016
IN LOVE I have been using Bare Minerals for over a year and a half now, and I couldn't ask for a better product! I have very sensitive skin and I have had troubles in the past with other makeup. This is the first product that I have not had any irritation or breakouts! It provides long lasting coverage and has a very light feeling! I would HIGHLY recommend this product! 01/19/2016
LOVE this foundation I've struggled with blemishes my entire life and this foundation covers any blemish flawlessly, works as both a foundation and concealer and improves my complexion. I've never used a foundation that doesn't make me break out, but after using bare minerals for three months I haven't had a breakout and my skin has never looked better! 01/10/2016
wonderful product! finally took the risk on mineral makeup and extremely glad I did! I will never wear a liquid foundation again. the coverage is perfect! 01/08/2016
Beautiful full coverage I've been using this product for the last 7 years. I have very sensitive skin. Could never put regular store bought make-up on my skin. I break out easily and my cheek would get so red. But with this product my skin feels free. It's able to breath. And I get that full coverage and it last all day. I have naturally rosy cheeks and this foundation helps cover it up and turn my face into a beautiful glow. And also this product covers so easily that it could last up to months of wear. Mine could last me up to 6 months or more. Definitely recommend this product to everyone !! 01/07/2016
Love this foundation! This is the first foundation I have ever used that looks completely natural and doesn't cake up. You never look like you are even wearing the foundation yet it somehow gives great coverage and hides flaws. 01/07/2016
THE best foundation After all of the commercial hype and my best friend using this make up I had to give it a try myself. Turns out all of the women who were saying "you will never need any other make up" were telling the truth! bareMinerals is definitely in a league of its own. I have to thank Leslie for this incredible foundation! I have been using it for years, have not found better. The container is fairly large and lasts quite some time (you don't need much per application). It applies best when used with their brushes (I use the full flawless face brush for this particular foundation) and "start from the outside and work my way in" by swirling from the outer cheeks in towards my nose and chin. The most amazing thing about this make up is that it feels like you aren't wearing any make up at all but offers great, natural-looking coverage. In my experience it is never cakey. I am of South Korean descent and have been using Medium Beige. I recommend getting shade matched in a boutique prior to ordering online if possible since there are so many different options it can be difficult to find your "perfect" match. However, like a previous customer mentioned bareMinerals is great because even if you don't get the exact match to your skin tone a close enough one blends right in and you can lighten or darken depending on the season using All-Over Face Colors/Brighteners and Warmth. Remember, the warmth is fairly deep in hue so a little goes a very long way! I have yet to try the matte version, not opposed it it however my skin is combination so I'm not sure. I love the original with its unique consistency as I have not been able to find a pressed powder that comes close to this. I believe this is make up revolutionized! Forever an avid fan and customer. 01/06/2016
HAPPY HAPPY CUSTOMER I LOVE this foundation. It does not feel heavy or thick. You really do feel like you are wearing little or no foundation. Also, I never have to keep reapplying this foundation which makes me very happy! 01/06/2016
original foundation Broad Spectrum spf 15 Fairly medium. I have been using this foundation for many years now and It's the only foundation that I will use, it not only last for ever but it never expires. once you get the right color match your hook. at least I am . and over time it does improve your complexion it keeps it clear. because It has simple Ingredients in it. so try it you will not be Dis pointed in it. 01/06/2016

I went on a website and it shows for me that the light beige in the Diorskin is next to the Ivory. The Ivory and the Light Beige are very light colors, buts yours just has some neutral undertones to it compared to the Ivory. Since I do not have a picture of you, my guess would be to try the foundation called Fairly Light in bareMinerals.

Fairly Light gives the description of being for porcelain-to-light skin with neutral undertones. Just like your Diorskin Forever foundation. I hope that helps!

I have extremely dry skin and put my moisturizer on about 15 to 30 min prior to my foundation. I seem to get cakey spots on my face. I noticed that even with out using moisturizer I get the spots, just not as bad. I thought it was because it's a powder, but I had the same issue when using a liquid foundation from cover girl. That was why I switched to bare minerals. What can I do.
P.S. I ordered your bareskin several days ago in hopes that it would be better for me.

Hey Hun,
Gotta say, I feel you. In my experience when you get the Cakey spots from make up, your moisturizer might a) be the wrong type for your kin, or b) you might be using too much. If it option a, then try switching brand or moisturizing types. If it is option b, try applying about a dime sized dollop to your whole face And down your neck. Most people don't think to ply thier moisturizers anywhere but the face, when they should apply under the chin and down the neck as well.
Hope this helps!

With the the foundation that you just ordered make sure you are swirling it on to your face and it the cap because before you may have been layering your skin which would give it a cakey look. Trust me you will love bare minerals. I have been using it for 7 months now and i love it

original is slightly luminous. it has somewhat of a shimmer. some notice, some don't, but the matte is just that. no shimmer, and seems to absorb more oil without going shiny

A:
Original has a natural luminous finish that will enhance those with combo/dry or dry skin types. The matte helps to absorb excess oil, and leave a matte finish instead of a luminous one on the skin. The best way for you to decide is to first consider your skin type. Then visit a boutique, Sephora, or Ulta and allow them to put you in the foundation that best suits your skin needs.

I really want to love this and sometimes it looks good but often it looks heavy in places and very shiny esp on my nose. Or at times I see all of the pores on my nose. What am I doing wrong?

There are a number of questions I need to ask you before I can help give you the advice you seek. Of course, the best answer is for you to visit a boutique and have a BM makeup artist work with you to perfect the look you want. Here are the questions I would ask you. 1. What is your skin care routine and are you consistently doing it? 2. What is your skin type and are you using the right products for it? 3. Have you tried the Prime Time primer underneath the foundation? 4. What brushes are you using to create your look?

You're not putting the mineral veil on all over your face or either you don't brush around the foundation evenly

It depends. Do you want additional coverage or just a setting powder? If additional coverage is wanted you can use the mineral foundation on top of your liquid. If you just want a light setting powder than Mineral Veil is perfect!

I find it hard to get all of the product out of the container with the sifter cover. With the old cover, you could remove it to get the rest of the product out. Is there a way to remove the sifter portion of the container?

Yes you can. I used a butter knife to pry the edges up or you could use your nails.

I have used a needle nose pliers to remove the sifter cover. You can grab the cover from the edges or put it in the sifter holes. It sometimes tears the cover a little so it will come out in pieces. It is difficult to do, but not impossible. Good luck and watch out so you don't spill the product in the process!

I have this foundation in Fairly Light, but even in the winter found it a little too pink for my skin. Now that I have a bit of a tan, I'd like to buy another foundation but don't know which color would be best. What color would you recommend?

A:
You can mix in a tiny bit of an All Over Face color to help make the Fairly Light a little darker. Warmth is a great color, but there is also a color called a Touch of Sun. Warmth is darker and the Touch of Sun is more subtle. In the winter, you can mix in some of the Light foundation to make it work for you. The great thing about mixing is that it makes your regular foundation last longer. Good luck!

Hi there, i have always used the medium beige shade as was recommended to me by the beautician selling your products a few years ago. Only I have noticed this winter it seems too dark with a slightly orange tint. Which shade is the best one to be one step lighter? I noticed the others have pink undertones but the one i have been using is neutral, would medium be ok in this case?

Medium is the pinkest color of all. if you want to stay neutral go with Fairly Light, and mix them.

I use medium beige in the summer when I have a tan and then fairly light in the winter when I am pale. They both have the same undertones, so they match my skin.
