High Shine Eyecolor - null
Love the metallics!
These are wonderful eye shadows. One swipe across each lid and I'm done! It can get messy when 1st starting but once you get the application technique down you're all set.
Love the color!
I ordered Moonshine and Vapor, and they're great! Wish there was a golden type of color available. Vapor gives you a perfect smokey eye with some black liner and mascara. Moonshine is more like a soft pink with a lot of sheen to it. It's more shiny than glittery, as though the glitter was mixed in homogeneous rather than randomly sprinkled like most eye shadows.
Application process is easy, I like the built-in wand that comes with it. You do need to scrape off excess before application, or it will get everywhere. Probably best to wait to do any concealer or under-eye stuff until after you've applied this shadow. Very easy to remove with almost any eye makeup remover.
I'm giving it three stars because it's messy. I don't like that when I come home from work the shadow has migrated to my lower lid. I'm picky that way, I like my eyeshadow on my actual eyelid and I like it to stay there. But no matter what I seem to do, I have yet to find a remedy to this. I wish the Velvet Eyecolor line made some sparkly shadows rather than matte (don't let the pictures fool you), because I don't seem to have that problem with them.
love this eye shadow---have several colors and would buy more in a heartbeat....the one way to get the best look with these shadows is you must use the eye lid primer--it really gives these shadows so much depth!!
Everybody Needs at least One
First time I've used this and I love it. Goes on easily, never smears and last all day into the night. I ordered the Moonlight and looking for more colors. Blends great with other colors as for under brow and lower lashes. Try it - you will like it.
Quite lovely once you get the hang of it!
I've got several of these in various colors and love all of them. I personally think they're easier than the loose powder pots, but the applicator definitely has its limitations....which are easily solved by using a brush. I still have to use primer with these despite these being long-wearing, otherwise they crease in about 4 hours...though with a primer they last until I clean them off.
Multidimensional shine, low quality applicator
It's a really fine grade glitter that nicely represents a taupe color, like a darker color of my skin tone in indoor environments and has a plum and white glow in natural light.
The applicator is ridiculously clunky. Imagine trying to apply with an oversized foam applicator. It's ok, lifehack it with a brush!
Patina is not golden khaki - its dark green
This did not look like the photo or the description - its dark green.
High Shine Line
I love this line. No messy and residual powder to clean off my face. The applicator is wide enough to cover your eyelid with color. Takes 5 seconds or less to have color on my eyelid! Stays on too! Best invention in a long time.
Would love to see modifications
I LOVE the amount of shimmer in these colors. However, I find these extremely hard to use. BM has re-trained me to be a pro at working with potted eye shadow, but these tubes kill me. First off all, I'm not a fan of sponge tip applicators. I tried the applicator anyway, but found it difficult to maneuver since it was so short. So, I stuck my brush in this tube (I had to use a real small one) and ended up getting a glittery/shimmery mess all over my counter when I pulled it out. Once I got it on my eyes, I loved it, but I would really love to see this sold in the pots with the sifters. I think that would make these a perfect 5.
High Shine Eyecolor
It seems intimidating but I tried them and I use them a lot. I wear glasses so a little sparkle on the lid isn't too much since glasses tend to hide your eyes some anyway. I just love these and I hope they bring them back or make something similar. They are potent so use very little. I just had to write about them because I use them almost every day! I use the regular shadows for highlighting at the corner and the outside and then another light colour under the brow.
